Your own strenght

Fuck all this!

I can't live like this anymore!

Make it all stop, I'm begging you,

These four walls are making me crazy.

It's not what I asked for,

And not what I want,

I've tried to make it work,

But can't you see better?

I'm broken in more places than you know,

And I don't know if I can be fixed,

It's gonna be a rough road to recovery,

And I may only get better with time.

From you I only need space and time,

I'll try to work with my demons,

Who tear my soul apart in the dark,

Making me scream with no voice,

In to the void of the darkness.

I want to see the light in all of this,

But I don't know if I can see it,

It's up to me to find my strength,

I know that you are here for me,

But this is the one battle I need to fight on my own.

I need to find my own path in this life,

As dark and hopeless it may seem now,

I know that after the darkest of times

Comes the brightest ray of light,

And I know I’ll be stronger after this,

And maybe, only maybe you'll be there in the end.

I know I'm not the easiest of the people,

But I'm trying to pull it all together,

For everyone who knows me

And especially for myself.

Hello and Happy Review Day! Well... it's Review Day for about an hour more. :P

I'll get through the two nitpicks before I move on to praises.

And I don't know if I can be fixed,

It's gonna be a rough road to recovery,

I think the second sentence contradicts the first. It says that she doesn't know if she can be fixed, but then the poem says that there is a road to recovery. So that means that she does know that she can be recovered and fixed.

But can't you see better?
I don't really know how to explain it, but this, to me, is asking if the reader can see better. It's indicating that there is a 'better' world, and is asking me if I can see it.

Now to praises! It's a dark, sad poem. But you've written it beautifully and I could understand the feelings which were coming across. I like the format you used; centering the text. It looks neater that way.

I know that after the darkest of times

Comes the brightest ray of light,

This bit reminds me of my favourite quote: The darkest hour is before the dawn. :)

Well done on writing this and good luck with your future endeavours.

Hey,

This is a great poem. Being a suicidal and depressed teen I can really relate to this. I think your use of punctuation, vocabulary, and capitalization, were wonderful and definitely made this poem more enjoyable. I love your comparison of demons and this darker side of life. I think you worded this very well, it helped convey your message smoothly. All I can really think to say is I've been there. Hell I still struggle with my demons almost everyday. I think that make me connect to the poem just a bit more. I hope you keep writing and make it through this dark spot. I would tell you it gets better but I find that's something a person needs to find in their own time. Beautiful poem, keep up the good work! I look forward to reading more of your work in the future.
Sincerely,

This is a great poem and I feel a connection with it. I can understand how ferocious and cruel the demons in one's mind can be. It's a horrible feeling to know you can't drown them out, since they've learned to swim. I hope things get better for you and you never give up on the fight. I have one critique though; you accidentally misspelled a word. Strength is spelled with the h at the end. It's a common mistake, so don't feel too bad about it. Other than that it's a great poem. I hope you finally free yourself and can fully embrace the light one day! :-)

I'm happy to help when and where I can.

it means a lot to me that there are people who appreciate what i write
