Do you hear it?
Can you hear it?
The voice who speaks to you,
In these darkest days.
Feeling all alone tonight,
Trying to hear the light,
Which doesn’t shine tonight,
Dispirited from your faith.
Falling further in to the dark,
Hoping for You to come,
To bring your voice the light,
In these darkest days.

It wasn't what I was expecting, but this is so powerful I'm not sure what I was expecting! I like the vagueness to it, and the subtle suggestions. I like the idea of the speaker having lost their faith, but wishing they did believe, and I'm so impressed with how much you managed to convey in such a short poem! The questions are effective, they get the reader thinking straight of the bat, as I the lack of rhyme, for adding a more serious tone to the poem as a whole! Really great job on this!
Thanks, your words makes me want to write more.
Honestly, those first lines really hit me. And by those first lines, I mean every single line. Because that was beautiful. Your poem flows ever so smoothly, and I simply can not find a single flaw in it.
I am trying to find my favorite part of this poem, but i can not find one issue with it. I am in all honesty, in love with your poem. Keep writing them, I will definitely check and see if you have any more poems, because I fell so hard for this poem.
Keep up the good work!
Wow thank you very much! This means a lot for me.
