Seedling in the Ash

I am Water. You are Fire...
I need you to defrost me,
turning Winter into Spring,
just as you need me
to quench your rage.
I know your world is on fire,
a forest burning to the ground...
But don't forget that I am your Rain,
and from that ash a seedling can grow.
That seedling will grow and grow
into a tree, then into a forest
that will be our wondrous life.
Mine, and yours.
Ours.

That's so sweet! I LOVE how you incorperated the elements of trees, water and fire. Sometimes people do that and it's like
"What the heck?" But you did a really good job connecting them all!!! :)

Thanks for sharing with me! :)

Hello there :)

I need you to defrost me,
I thought water was already defrosted. I think this line does not make sense in conjunction with the statement you made earlier.

just as you need meto quench your rage.
I'm trying not to take this quite literally, but does fire really 'want' to be put out by water? That would mean it would cease to exist.
However, as I continued to read this, I kind of appreciated the relationship you were trying to build with the fire and water.
Very interesting poem indeed, I'll give you that much. I thought it was quite creative and the imagery was good; eventhough some of the lines were awkward.
Keep writing and good luck!
