I Want To Have Sex, But Not Nearly As Much As Most Boys

PreviousNext
I want to have sex.
Don't we all?
Don't all teenage boys?
Well I do.
But not to the extent,
that most boys do.
Not to the extent,
that a lot of boys do.

I'm bored of what they tell me.
I'm bored of all their lies.
I'm bored of the words they use,
to the extent where,
I don't want to give,
it a try.

Sure, it's nice.
And sparks conversation.
But, I'm bored.
Bored of the detail.
Just let me do it.
Then I'll make my mind up.
Just let me do it.
Unlike you, I'd keep it to myself.

I'm bored of what they tell me.
I'm bored of all their lies.
I'm bored of the words they use,
to the extent where,
I don't want to give,
it a try.

They walk,
and they boast.
In their own,
dream world.

I'm too tired.
Too tired to think 'bout that.
I need a break.
A break from all this talk of sex.
No need for that.
I know way too much.
Too much for my head.
About sex.

I'm bored of what they tell me.
I'm bored of all their lies.
I'm bored of the words they use,
to the extent where,
I don't want to give,
it a try.

Heggo. Good evening. This is not the nine o'clock news. -clears throat- Here we go. :)

I am going to address this line by line.

'I want to have sex.' - Obvious statement, but I admire the honesty.
'Don't we all?' - Not nece-celery. :P
'Don't all teenage boys?' - survey them, find out, get back to me.
'Well I do.' - WE KNOW! You have a libido, we geddit!
'But not to the extent,'
'that most boys do.' - oh really?????
Not to the extent,
that a lot of boys do. - see above. [gets bored of quotey marks]

I'm bored of what they tell me. - who is telling you what dear?
I'm bored of all their lies. - me too. But who, again?
I'm bored of the words they use, - WHAT WORDS?!
to the extent where,
I don't want to give,
it a try. - don't want to try what? Ice skating? Nose picking? Windsurfing? This isn't made clear.

Sure, it's nice. - Sex?
And sparks conversation. - Sex?
But, I'm bored. - Of?
Bored of the detail. - Oh!!!!!!!!
Just let me do it. - Ah, so your protag just wants to sh**. I get it now.
Then I'll make my mind up. - most sensible thing said so far.
Just let me do it. - insistent, me likey.
Unlike you, I'd keep it to myself. - Oooh, burn! *sizzle* Ouch. XD

They walk, - who? the people who have had sex?
and they boast. - bit of a generalisation here
In their own,
dream world. - dream? cliché. :/

I'm too tired. - already! And you haven't even had sex yet! XD
Too tired to think 'bout that. - ok, he's given in.
I need a break. - Have a kit kat. :P
A break from all this talk of sex. - less talking, more action. Agreed. :)
No need for that. - darn.
I know way too much. - yes you do
Too much for my head. - get a new one
About sex. - don't think about it?

If you are insinuating talking about sex with people can put you off doing it then the character here is not very mature and shouldn't be having sex.
An intriguing take on a long debated topic.

....It's obvious that you're a virgin, besides the fact that you blatantly state it. Cute. I used to feel the same, until I had sex, and trust me, there's a reason everyone talks about it. I'm a woman, by the way. :)

Hey Ajt!
I've never reviewed lyrics before so thought of giving it a try. here goes:

TITLE: provocative, elegiac, straightforward

VOICE: a teen girl expressing her views on how bored she is about sex. the whole thing actually has a scent of truth. at one point during teen life, sex is, I'm afraid what everyone talks about tirelessly. i know the hormones are high this time and they can't help it. But I've seen female friends of mine getting tired of this kind of talks faster than males. It is also true that when females express that they're tired of it, rantings begin about how old school they are. you depicted this frustration very vividly. but the whole thing is, what i feel, the same thing going on and on. i don't know if lyrics are supposed to be like this but it somehow her voice at the end transformed into whining.

EMOTIONS: the piece is not over-flowing with emotions nor is it lacking of it and that is good. the girl's a teen and the emotion level was right ( at least that's what i think)

THEME: OBVIOUS

overall, I think it can be a good song. just one question though, what are you planning to make it sound like?
just curious.
