Chapter 3
After Cynthia found out that she had had to go with King Dalas, she looked around. Because a cat, a talking cat just assumed that she would go with him. And, that he would forget about Tony, but as she did not know what was to happen here, she just said something out of the blue.
“Cynthia!” She screamed. The two cats looked and her, and she started to feel embarrassed.
“What exactly is a Cynthia?” King Dalas asked.
“It’s my name!” Cynthia replied.
“Your name is a Cynthia?” He questioned, again. “Sylvester, what is a Cynthia?”
“I believe the girl is trying to say that her name is Cynthia. My name is Sylvester and your name is Dalas.” Sylvester said, wisely. King Dalas didn’t know what on earth he was talking about, so just screamed his little saying. It really could’ve been his catchphrase.
“That’s King Dalas!” He cried. Sylvester sighed, shaking his head. Then the two had this whole conversation about names and titles, Cynthia put a stop to it.
“Sorry to disturb this stupid conversation, but don’t you need to find your cape?” She stated. King Dalas and Sylvester smiled at each other, and smiled at Cynthia.
“Oh Dalas, you must take her, she’s witty, she’s cunning and very smart. It’s just what you need. I know you would have loved to take Pushka, but she’ll get so angry.” Sylvester announced.
“What do you know? You’re just an old kitty. Once again that’s King Dalas,” King Dalas groaned, knowing Sylvester was right. Cynthia looked upset; she began to have new feelings for King Dalas.
King Dalas paced the room until finally coming to an agreement with Sylvester.
“I’ll take the girl with me. I’ll take Cynthia,” King Dalas added.
King Dalas left the tree house telling Cynthia to follow.
They made their way down that rope ladder; it was like when they went up, except they weren’t in a forest. The whole place had changed, no more trees, no more logs on the floor, no more eerie noises. Just a plain grass field; King Dalas jumped from the ladder, walked over the lush grass, and lay on his back. Cynthia eventually got down, and of course, started with her questions.
“What happened, King Dalas?” Cynthia asked. King Dalas rolled back again, and tried to explain, knowing there were going to be more questions to follow.
“The setting never seems to well set here, one moment it’s a forest, the next it’s a plain field. And when there’s a plain field, there are always some fairies.”
Cynthia looked around to find a whole swarm of fairies troop in. It was just like how the books explained them like, tiny little girls with wings, and dresses. And of course their magic fairy wand; Cynthia left Dalas lying in the grass and walked over to them, excited!
They all looked at her, puzzled.
“A human? Here?” One of them questioned, they looked at Cynthia weirdly.
“Must be a friend of King Dalas, he always brings… Visitors,” another said. Cynthia nodded.
“So why are you here? You ran away from home and got lost? Actually why are you still here, if you’re lost, you would want to get back to your home. Wouldn’t you? Why did you decide to stay here? Eh?” One of them asked.
“Well, I would have gone back, but I lost my cat… I want to find him, and I’m not leaving here until I have him.” Cynthia explained.
All the fairies got into a huddle, and discussed too quietly for Cynthia to here anything.
“I wish I could help, but there are too many cats here. If it was a dog or a rabbit I suppose I could help. Sorry,” but a third one explained.
“Aren’t there were only nine cats and a few kittens here?” Cynthia asked. Are you getting tired of her questions too?
“Well, in the King Dalas family, the richest ever! There are many other families of cats, and King Dalas’s is pretty small compared to some. Now we all are truly sorry, but we have to go!” But a fourth one said, and they all, just like that flew off.
Cynthia walked back over to King Dalas, who was up now. He gave a small little hand gesture for Cynthia to follow him.
So it was a journey with king cat and a little girl. Quite weird, and a little surprising; not like normal journey’s, with big hills and huge tides in the river. Nothing like that, in fact it was probably the easiest one, in terms of strength, abut weak because of all the stupid questions involved…
