also, don't let this influence your character's actions, but this "trial" is mostly highlighting what elias has done (and will do) but does not tell the full story. it made me big sad to write all this with barely any context ngl and also made me put on my creative hat because i haven't had to figure out the details like this before lol sorry if they're kinda lazily written again...... my brain power is low from thinking
Well, I already wrote Maggie's response to it, but the idea of that not being the whole context is something Maggie would be thinking about pretty immediately for backstory reasons.
