So I actually sort of did this on a NaPo once. Obviously working on something else, but this one was fun enough to share

Once there was a girl with a Master's
Whose job search felt like a disaster.
To the world she applied,
but she got no reply
'Cept to say that someone else was faster.
"You do ill if you praise, but worse if you censure, what you do not understand." Leonardo Da Vinci

@rida: I assume you mean how many stanzas? If that's the case, it can be as many as you want, just so long as they all follow the limerick pattern!

Is it necessary to follow the syllabic pattern? I mean does my Limerick have to have a syllabic pattern?

@ForeverYoung299 not necessarily, but it flows much better with one. The classic limerick rhythm relies somewhat on syllables, too.

@ForeverYoung299 To provide fairness, I’m gonna say you can only choose one to submit. If you’re having trouble and you think they’re both good, you could flip a coin or ask someone else to choose for you!

Are slant rhymes okay or no?

edit: okay actually nevermind, figured out how to make it work.
It is one thing to write as a poet and another to write as a historian.
— Miguel de Cervantes, Don Quixote

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.
