February, 1775 – Scotchtown Plantation

Please. I’m mainly interested how the characters connect with the reader. Thanks!
The sadness drains through me rather than skating over my skin. It travels through every cell to reach the ground. I filter it yet strangely enough, I keep what was pure and it is the dirt that leaves.

I know it's not in the greenroom but you don't mind looking at the Prologue for my book. just a warning it is both a very very rough first draft and deals with themes like Heaven and Hell. I do worry its a bit heavy on exposition and telling rather then showing

Everbound Prologue : Tapestries And Temptations.

This planet has - or rather had - a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much all of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movement of small green pieces of paper, which was odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy.
— Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
