So, I have a WRFF thread ~ what am I looking to review?
Got poetry? I'm definitely more comfortable with free verse because that's what I often write and what I'm best at reading. I don't have any restrictions with length, language if it remains mild, and some strong themes. If you are unsure whether your poem's language or theme is too strong, just ask me!
I'm slightly less experienced with structured poetry because I don't write much of it and I don't find myself reading a lot of it. I won't be able to critique any issues with forms I am unfamiliar with, so it's best to leave this to the simpler forms such as sonnets and haiku if you want a longer, more thorough review.
Got short stories? I'm not comfortable with short stories that are long enough to be in novel territory, but everything below that is fine! I typically don't mention much grammar unless it's a very common issue throughout though, so I'd advise not requesting a review by me if you want something grammar-focused.
Got a novel / chapters? I totally review chapters alone, and the order doesn't matter to me. I do prefer starting somewhere towards the beginning though, because it's easier to pick up the characters and previous events.
Following a whole novel is a bit tough, and it all depends on if I'm interested. If you want me to read your novel, I recommend showing me the first few chapters to see if I'm vibing with the story. If that happens and I somehow lose interest, it's most likely because I'm following another person's story or school is getting in the way.
Got a portfolio? I do portfolio reviews too! A portfolio review is when you review everything a person has posted that is still public on YWS, and it can totally be adjusted to a partial portfolio review if people don't need extra reviews on some works or just aren't interested in revising specific ones.
I only do one at a time though and there is a waitlist:
