Avery

Leo's arms tighten around my waist as I feel a rush of so many emotions. I'm...the selfish one? Really? What have I done...that was selfish? In the past, yes, I did fuck with a lot of peoples' feelings, buts i've changed and i've grown up. What exactly did I do to Will? He dumped me. I think that people frequently forget that. He dumped me. All I did was kick him out of my house afterwards. Was it my fault that I didn't want to stare at him after he dumped me for Jane? Even if he wasn't truly in love with her, at the time he did it for her.

"What did I do Leo...?" I ask him quietly. When I turn to look at him his face is red and mad. Like really really mad. I haven't seen him this mad...in well ever.

"She had no fucking right." He says, through gritted teeth. "This is our day. She could've waited any other fucking day but..." He shakes his head, and finally looks down at me. "I'm sorry."

He walks up to the microphone and leaves me standing by myself in front of all of my guests. Everyone stares at me as if they're waiting for me to blow up. But I don't. I feel like sobbing. I hold it in and walk outside. I take a deep breath and look over at Harley and plaster a smile on my face. Talking to her makes me happy. But when I go back inside, I find myself suddenly crying.

"Ah fuck." I hear Kristin say as she approaches me, Oliver in tow.

She hugs me close and whispers random feel better crap to me. All of that, it'll be alright, fuck her, I can't believe she'd do that, and the worst one, well that friendship is over. And then suddenly i'm overflowed with guest patting my back, saying something nice, insulting her, but thats not what I want.

"I just wanted ONE fucking day. Thats why I invited her. Just O-N-E fucking day.I haven't been truly happy since all of what happened with Will, and this was my one day...to just start anew."

"Ah...so thats why she was here." Kristin says, almost to herself "I didn't invite her because...well I didn't want anything like that to happen. But why would you ask her to come?" Kristin asks, her face frowning in confusion.

"I wanted to let her know that with this new year, we were going to start new. We could even try to be friends. But now...now I actually hate her." I say, the realization surprising even me.

I've never hated anyone in my whole entire life. Hell, i've only slightly disliked people, but hate is the only way I can describe this sharp, fiery feeling in my stomach everytime I think about her. I hate her.

"Well that was definitely some spectacle." A deep voice says from behind me.

I turn around quickly, and gasp when I see who it is. Holy crap.

"Hey kiddo." Ashton says, with that cocky smile of his.

I run into his arms and hug him tightly. He hugs me back in a huge bear hug, like the big brother i've never had.

"Ashty...nobody told me that you'd be here." I say, nuzzling my face into his expensive suit.

"Yeah...thats called a surprise dipshit." I pull back and flick him hard in the forehead.

"Ah Ashton! There you are!" Leo says, as he walks back over with a warm smile.

"Yeah, sorry i'm late. The plane ride hit major turbulence. I walked in as soon as little miss inbred picked up the microphone, and released some of her inner shit out onto all of us poor bystanders."

Leo, Kristin, Oliver, and I all laugh out loud. Thats one thing that you've gotta love about Ashton. He knows how to change a mood with a snap of his fingers. He frowns at me.

"Ave, she seriously looked like one of those hillbilly, homeschooled, inbred chicks though. It kind of creeped me out. You said that you lived in Connecticut, not some country bumpkin, farmland, type of shit." He runs his hand through his dark auburn hair.

"How long will you be staying?" I ask, hopefully forever.

He sighs and puts a finger on his chin considering.

"Maybe about a week. Maybe a week and a half. I wish I could stay longer, but i'm starring in an indie over in Paris. You could come if you want." He says, serious.

And I really consider it. I mean, imagine how perfect it would be to run away from all of this. To move to one of the posh expensive villas that my family owns in France. I look over at Leo, and he's also considering. Even Kristin is considering it for a second. I know that they both miss Europe. And I miss my extended family.

"I-i'll think about it. Alright?" Ashtons eyebrows shoot up.

"Huh. I was expecting a straight up no. Thats what you gave me when I invited you to live with me in California." I roll my eyes.

"Because you're a huge perv. WHere will you be staying for your duration."

"The plaza right here in the city. Jesus I love that place. It even comes with a Butler and a private chef." Ashton smiles brightly.

"What do you wanna do Ave?" Leo asks me. his face worried "I'm sorry that, that cunt ruined your night. But it's your choice what you wanna do with the rest of it."

I've never heard Leo say something so...vulgar. I look up to see Oliver, Kristin, and Ashton all nodding in agreement. I think on it for a second and then the best idea known to man pops up.

"How about Provocateur in the city?" I ask, a mischievous smile growing on my lips.

"Oh god that would be awesome!"Kristin squeals while Oliver stares at her and me in confusion.

"It's one of the most expensive, exclusive, sophisticated, and all around awesome clubs in the world." I say in explanation.

"I haven't been there in awhile." Ashton says with a smile. "It would be fun."

"I'm up for whatever will make you happy babe." Leo says, smiling down at me.

I smile back up at him and kiss him on the lips. And then I look down at the beautiful gold gown that i'm wearing.

"Ashton, call a limo over here. Kris, go get Dyl and Alosha, i'm sure that they'll want to come. Oliver, go get a few bottles of champagne for us to drink in the limo and call off the party. And Leo, drive me to go get me something short and tight."

Everyone begins doing what i've asked, while Leo stays by my side.

"Jane...I should have punched her in the face when I had the chance. But now...she's got a hell of a lot more coming. I promise." Leo looks down at me with a look of complete love and adoration.

"Thats the Avery I love."

"And one more thing Lee..." I say, nervousness coursing my veins.

"What is it love?" He asks, as we step out of the resturant, a smile on his face.

"I think...that I might be preggers." I say quietly.

His smile grow two times its original size and for a second i'm sure that he heard me wrong. But he takes me into his arms and hugs me close to him tightly.

"Than that means that we're definitely moving to France." He says, and kisses me softly.

I pull away.

"Are...you sure?" I ask, amazement in my voice. He nods and embraces me even tighter.

"It's the best thing i've ever heard." He pulls away and looks down at me with a joyous smile. "Now. Lets go party ourselves out." He says, and tugs me to his car.

I walk around, smiling at strangers, shivering from the cold.

Standing in the middle of the crowd, I realize that I have no idea what I'm doing.

Like, the only person I know it Avery. And I barely know her. Oh, and Leo. Her fiancée.

A voice sounded around the crowd.

"Excuse me? Everyone? Party's over! Happy New Years, have a safe trip home!"

I sighed.

I pulled out my phone, unlocked it, and opened my texting app.

"Hey, Avery. Party's over already? Guess I'll see you later."

I sent the message, and started walking to the sidewalk.

Sighing, I sat on a bench, and studied the design of the dress I was wearing.

(Sorry it's so short! I don't know what to write about.)

Ashton

"Hey." I say to the pretty girl that I slightly recognize. She stares up at me in surprise and slight recognition.

"Um hi." She says with a small smile. I frown. Yeah I definitely recognize her.

"Do I know you?" I ask, but before she can say anything a weird looking inbred chick gets onto the stage and just starts saying...well shit. Hell if I know what she's talking about, but when I finally spot Avery and Leo they both seem to be wearing upset expressions. I look back up at the girl in confusion.

"Do you have any idea what this chick is talking about?" I ask the pretty girl standing next to me. She shakes her head and frowns eyeing Avery worriedly.

"Whats your name by the way?" I ask her.

"Jasmine. And yours?"

"Ashton." If I was trying to fuck her I'd probably do the whole, i'm Ashton Baxter, movie star/billionaire baby! But i'm not. I'm only gonna be here for a week and the only time I get booty calls is when I'm staying somewhere for more than a month.

"Well nice to meet you." She says with a cute smile. Huh. I might just break my rule.

Suddenly the weird looking inbred chick hops off of the stage and runs out. Thats seriously a friend of Averys? I didn't know that Ave was the type of person that hung out with chicks that took their brother as their lawfully wedded hubby. She's changed.

I notice her crying now, being comforted by that sexy cousin of hers. So thats when I decide to make my appearance.

"That was quite the spectacle." I say putting on my smirk.

Hot guy. I couldn't stop looking at him. And of course I knew who he was. It's Ashton from the Walking Dead spin-off. He played Avery's husband. I played a major role on the show, a zombie that came back to life as a human. For Ashton's character, I was a miracle and he kept me around to see how that happened. I was a major person to his character. So, he would recognize me soon enough.

Why did Avery invite him? Obviously because they were still friends. The thing was, Ashton and I had a fling one night after the fiftieth episode aired. We were drunk, crazy, and I was in love with him. Avery didn't know about this, no one did. So that night... I took advantage of it. He let it happen because he probably just wanted some excitement.

I followed Ashton to where ever he was going, I wanted to talk to him again. I couldn't help but feel my heart pang just by hearing him. Once he stopped, I realized we were by Avery and Leo. She was tearing up.

What happened? I didn't hear or see anything.

"Avery," I sighed from behind Ashton.

He turned his head and looked at me, eyes full of curiosity.

"She's my best friend," I smiled at him, then faced Avery again. "Ave, what happened?"

She sniffled, burying her head into Leo's chest. All her makeup was running down her face. Oh my, seriously, she was in a bad state. My breath caught in my throat just looking at her. I walked up to her and ran my hand down her hair.

"Ask Kristin, I... don't wanna... talk." she replied.

Kristin just happened to be walking away, hand-in-hand with Oliver. She was probably taking care of something for Avery.

"This bitch came up on the stage and sad hurtful things, didn't you hear?" Ashton asked me.

"Uh, no..."

I didn't even look at him because I knew that there was a smirk on his face already. It was the Ashton Baxter appeal. But then, I couldn't resist, I'd rather see his smirk, but it wasn't there. He was just looking at me, his face straight with no emotion.

"Why would someone say hurtful things? There is always a reason for everything Avery. What happened between you two?" I said, trying to solve the problem.

"What? You aren't on my side?" She asked, her voice covered with venom.

"No, it's not that Ave. You know that I am... but there's a reason for everything." Then was meeting Ashton and Avery again a reason for coming out with Bradley? No it wasn't. It was a reason to start anew and be myself, Jasmine. I am not Bradley.

I felt something touch my shoulder, so I turned my head and saw Ashton have his hand on my shoulder. Swallowing hard, I looked back at Avery.

"She's just crazy, a drunk." Leo said for her.

"That's no excuse. What happened between you two?" I urged.

"I don't wanna talk about it!" suddenly Avery got angry, pulling away from Leo. She was standing straight, digging her eyes into my soul. I couldn't help but just at the tone of her voice.

I took a step back from her and steadied myself.

"If you wanna give her the benefit of the doubt, go talk to her, not me." Avery hissed.

"Jesus, Avery." I snapped. "You can't be like this. I am asking you a question as a friend, because I want to help. And all you're doing is thinking about yourself! That I just want to help her, not you. This is about helping you, but also about seeing what's going on. Get your head out of your damn ass!" I told her with a leveled, but angry voice.

Now she took a step back and didn't speak, just looked at me. Her eyes were wild, and she was looking from Leo, to me, to Ashton. I guess she was taking a double-take. I took a deep breath in and stood my ground, my fist clenching and un-clenching.

"I'm- I'm sorry." she said, her voice steady. I could tell it was sincere.

"Okay, it's alright Avery. So, I'll talk to you later..." I said but then she cut me off.

"Yeah... I'm sorry. Old Avery would've not listened. Ha," she smiled. "I am really sorry Jasmine. Just, let me like recover from this."

I smiled, taking her hands in mine. I squeezed them, making her smile even brighter. Pulling my hands away, she walked back to Leo and clinged onto him. Turning on my heel, I walked back to where I was, looking at the city center. All the doors and windows were open, so I walked to an open door and leaned on the door frame, watching the city alive.

My phone rang in my purse, so I pulled it out and looked at the Caller ID. Unknown. Who could it be? I answered it, sort of interested.

"Hello?" I asked.

Breathing came from the other end, that's it.

"Hello?" I tried again.

"Bradley?" a guy asked, his voice cynical.

My throat closed up as I gripped onto the phone, my eyes filling up with tears. Jesus, can't people leave me alone? I hid my Bradley phone at home! How did they reach my normal phone?!

"No, this isn't Bradley. Wrong number." I said.

"Sure..." he laughed. "To keep your secret, you better do what I say."

"I'm not afraid of some sick bastard. Okay? This is not some Bradley girl, don't play games with me. Go get a life, go fuck yourself. I'm sick of these supposedly death threats or secrets threats or whatever! Just go and fuck yourself, that gives you a life." I yelled, hitting the hang up button.

Sliding my phone back into my purse, I rubbed my hand on my forehead and closed my eyes. I sighed, opening them again and walking back into the party. People swam around me, getting out the doors. Did I miss something again?

"Everyone is leaving!" a girl yelled to me.

"Why?" I yelled back.

"Party over!" like four people told me.

I looked around and found my way to the back room, where I knew Avery was. Walking in, I saw her sitting on a couch, reading a magazine. Leo was on the phone with someone and Kristin was on the love seat with her boyfriend, making out. Uh, PDA is not welcome. Then I saw Ashton chewing on some chips next to Avery.

"Hey guys," I smiled.

William Franco

I guess I was moving on. So, stepping into this party wasn't as hard for me as it would have. I walked around, noticing the elegant walls and furniture. Straight lines, yet sophisticated and comfy. The walls reminded me of the coffee place down on Maple Avenue, they had the same color, a brown so rich it could be gold. Some people were scattered around, but most were just leaving. Did I seriously come too late?

"Um, is the party over?" I asked a guy I'd recognized.

"Oh, my. It's William Franco! The man of the hour!" he smiled, clapping his hands. I had every intention to believe he was being sarcastic.

"And you are?" I asked him, feeling my eyebrow raise.

"Ashton Baxter! You don't remember?" And then everything clicked. He was from the Walking Dead spin-off.

Suddenly the gift bag I was holding felt heavy, so I switched hands and smiled at Ashton, looking as if it didn't move me.

"Right, Ash. Nice to see you again." I said.

"Come, give me a hug. I heard you've been going through a rough time." he opened his arms, but I hesitated.

Then, I let myself give him a brotherly hug as he squeezed my bones. Once he pulled away, I took a breath in and shook my arms. He started to laugh and I joined him, shaking my head.

"Too long, Will." he sighed. "What've you got in there?" he pointed at the bag.

"It's for the couple." I shook it slightly.

"Dude, you don't want to see them now."

"Why not?"

And he told me everything that happened. Once he finished, I couldn't believe my own ears. Jane wouldn't do that... but then again, she would. I can't believe she said that I was still in love with Avery though, that made everything worse.

No, what made everything worse that it reminded me of my coma. In it, I made a speech at Avery's reception. The deja-vu was horrible, it made my head hurt. Did I predict the future or something in my coma? Was Avery then going to get in an accident with Leo? No, that was to tell me I got into an accident, that was to show I was awaking an remembering. But, I can't believe that what I did at the reception was what Jane did here.

"We didn't even wait for the clock to strike twelve!" Ashton joked.

I shook my head, wiping my mind so I could get back to being social again.

"Yeah, weird." I smiled.

"Give me that, I'll give it to Ave. It doesn't seem like you'd want to now. I'm gonna find a girl to smooch when twelve comes, go find that cute supermarket girl you told me about." he smiled, taking the bag from me.

We gave each other a small hug and separated. I should find her, whatever he name was. I looked ta my phone and found her number, texting her. There was her name, Harley. Nice name, no, sexy name.

As I walked out of the restaurant, I saw a girl siting on the bench just outside it. I decided to talk to her, I mean, what bad could it do? I walked around the bench and smiled, catching the girls eye.

No shit. It was Harley. She just put her phone down and smiled, her cheeks getting red.

"How about that coffee?" I smirked.

I shivered again, feeling people staring at me.

My cheeks were still bright red. Partly from the blush I was wearing, and the rest from the cold, and William. Pulling the clip out of my hair, I let my hair fall loose, making my neck slightly warmer.

What'd this guy see in me?

I felt body warmth from another person close to me, and my blush darkened for some reason.

"How about that coffee?" The person said.

Was it..?

I turned around, and saw him standing there, smirking.

"I...um.." I looked at what I was wearing, then back at him.

He was studying my body.

Biting my bottom lip, I nodded.

"Sure. But...don't I need to maybe...change?"

He looked at my eyes, and he grinned. "I have a shirt in my truck."

I remembered that I had leggings on.

"Oh...uh...sure." I replied, hiding half of my face in my hair.

I watched him go out to his truck, and come back with a navy blue T-shirt.

Perfect. This dress was going to kill me.

I took off my heels, took the shirt as he handed it to me, and ran to the bathroom.

Going into a stall, I unzipped the back of the dress, and slipped it off.

"It's freezing in here.." I whispered to myself, putting the shirt on.

It went halfway down my thighs.

I walked back to the bench where he was, standing in black leggings, a shirt, and no shoes.

I held the dress, and heels in my hands.

He was staring at my body again.

I blushed, and hugged myself.

"So, coffee?" I looked up at his face, smiling slightly.

Avery

"Hey." I say to Jasmine with a smile. "Sorry for the breakdown earlier. I'm just feeling really emotional for no particular reason." I say with a roll of my eyes.

Jasmine shrugs and smiles.

"It's cool. We all get those days. So why are you canceling the party so early?" She asks, her face shaping into a frown.

"Well," I say blushing a bit " I'm not in the mood to let what Jane said ruin my night. SHe had a few points, but she didn't have to fuck up my whole party to prove them. So we're spending the rest of our night clubbing." I say gesturing to everyone.

"Ah...where are you guys going?"

"Provocateur. Have you been?" Kristin asks from Olivers lap curiously.

I notice that she looks uncomfortable. I know that Bradley has probably been, but it would be strange for Jasmine to have gone. I mean the place is just chopped up full of little millionaires, celebrities, singers, just everyone famous.

"No, but i've heard of it. I'm not sure that i'd even be able to get inside..." Jasmine says, looking awkward.

"If your up for coming, i'll be sure that they let you in." Kristin says, smiling at Jasmine brightly.

"Um sure! Sounds like fun!" Jasmine says, fakely enthusiastic.

"Special delivery for the wonderful couple of the hour!" Ashton booms, as he walks up to me with a cute little gift bag. I frown.

"Everyone put the gifts in the side room." I say, staring at the bag like a foreign object "Where did you get that?" I ask him.

"Oh," his smile grows wider "the ex-est with the bestest." Ashton says smirking.

"Oh god you're stupid." I say, snatching the gift from his hand and rolling my eyes. "So it's from Will?"

Ashton nods and at that exact moment Leo gets off of the phone.

"Okay, so the limo company was called. You can change in there. Oliver, you got the champagne, right?" Leo asks.

"Yep. All done and waiting by the door." Oliver says as Kristin leads a trail of kisses down his throat.

I grimace at the PDA and turn to Bradley.

"We got a pretty large limo to take us, and Leo picked me up a few dresses to choose from for after the party. If you want you can change out of the one you're wearing, and you can borrow one. The one you're wearing looks like something you wouldn't want to party in." I say, staring pointedly at her cute little high-low.

She looks down at it herself and shrugs.

"It's not that big of a deal. But if you do happen to have something cute in there..." She says with a small grin.

I notice Ashton staring at her with...well that type of look on his face. The one he makes when he sees someone that he wants to get intimate with. In his words, fuck, but that just sounds way too vulgar for me. I shoot him a look that he either ignores or doesn't seem to notice. And then I wonder if he recognizes her. I mean she did play a pretty big part.

"Okay guys lets get going!" Leo says clapping his hands loudly, shocking me out of my thoughts.

He offers me his hand and I take it. We walk hand in hand to the doors with everyone following. When we're in the limo I marvel at how large it is. I mean i've been in my share of limos, but this one is pretty large for its occupancy. When I ask Leo with my eyes he just shrugs.

"You need space to change." He says simply.

I look around at everyone in here. I mean theres no one to be particularly shy of. Dylan and Alosha are whispering sweet nothings to each other, Kristin and Oliver are (you guessed it) practically dry humping each other, and Jasmine is talking merrily to Ashton.

"Here." Leo says handing me several designer bags.

I find my pick in the Versace bag, a cute, tight, sparkly black backless little mini dress with a plunging transparent neckline. In another bag I find some gold bangles, a gold chain necklace, and another pair of gold pumps. I kiss Leo on the cheek softly and smile brightly at him.

"You know me so well." I say, with a huge smile.

He rolls his eyes, and unzips my gown for me. I climb out of its silky contents, and shake myself out.

"Pour me a glass Kris." I ask as I squeeze myself into the tight mini dress.

As soon as my head pops out, Kristin is holding a glass in front of my face. I take it and sip it down in one gulp.

" Hashtag Team drunkards!" Ashton calls out offering me a high five, which I accept.

Leo stares at me worriedly.

"Avery, if you're pregnant its not good to drink. You know that." Leo whispers in my ear.

I nod and deny the next glass Kristin offers to me. I look through the bags and find the perfect dress for Jasmine.

"Jas!" I yell out excitedly "Wear this one! It would look so good on you!"

She stares at it and shrugs.

"I'll try it on, but no promises." I nod excitedly and watch as she slips out of the high-low and puts on the mini dress I picked for her.

When she's all finished and we're all surveying it (even Kristin, whose stopped sucking face for more that five seconds). It's a bright and vibrant strapless purple, with a sexy silver mesh wrapping around her midrift so you can see her belly button piercing. The mesh begins right below the cleavage and ends at the beginning of her waist, where her underwear begins. I pass her a pair of Luis Vuitton silver sparkly pumps and after she puts them on I know that its the outfit for her.

"You. Look. Amazing." I say, surveying her figure and just everything.

She blushes a little and looks at Ashton. His eyes are wide with recognition and pure attraction, but he doesn't say anything, all he does is nod and offer a small crooked grin. Both Leo and I begin snickering.

"Well wow. If you've shocked this guy to silence, that should be enough to tell you that you look great. Kris? Alosha? See anything you like?" I ask Kristin whose smiling widely at Jasmine.

"Nah. I'm fine with my cute cocktail." Which doesn't look much like a cocktail dress, but more like a fancy nightclub dress.

Its a bright silver wrap that ends at her mid thigh, with a sweet heart neckline. Caught right in between clubby and sophisticated.

"I love this high low that you lent me to death." Alosha says with a bright smile. "I'm fine with this thanks."

I lent her a cute little high-low with a corset top, and a blue ombre skirt that starts at a pretty china blue and ends in a gentle sea foam. Yep, that dress is perfect for her. I check out the guys in a variety of suits, from Armani, to gucci, ending with Leo in his expensive yet wonderfully dapper and handsome Brioni suit.

"By the way, Avery when are you planning to have your wedding?" Alosha asks me, revealing her legs as she rests the on Dylans lap.

"I was thinking about spring time, verging on summer." I say as I climb next to Leo. Alosha nods.

"Thats a nice time. Its warm but not hot. Indoor or outdoor?"

"I'm caught between having it at the plaza over here in the city, and having it on a private beach. It's a tough decision." I say, frowning a bit.

"Dylan and I will be having it at the Union Hill Inn in Sonora, California. Its such a comfortable, vintage-like atmosphere, surrounded by nature. I love it, and we've already got a reservation for June the twenty-second." She smiles contently, her face radiant. "I'm so happy."

"Do you have any idea what dress you want?" I ask, leaning towards her.

"Pnina Tornai wedding dress. I'm having it shipped from Italy. I insist on paying but this guy," she rolls her eyes and Dylan smiles "refuses to let me." I nod my head at Dylan.

"It's a $14,000 dress. I'd be pissed if he let you buy it." I say.

"And tell her the most wonderful news Loshy!" Kristin suddenly cuts in excitedly.

"Ah yes. Kristin will be my maid of honor, and is in charge of finding bridesmaid and the groomsmen outfits." Alosha says, shooting a sincere smile at Kristin who smiles brightly.

"We're at your destination sir." The driver says.

We all begin filing out, and I smile at the sight of the nightclub, the red neon heart on the outside filling me with excitement. I lead the group to the front, cutting the other people in line who all complain loudly, I shoot a sneer at them over my shoulder and continue to the front where the bouncer is standing there, in designer jeans and a button down shirt.

"Whats your name? Are you on the guest list?" I raise my eyebrows and stare at him innocently. He sighs.

"If you're not on the list, I can't let you in ma'am." The bouncer says. I smile coyly and take the golden crown off of my head and throw it somewhere, and then I shake out my curls, letting them fall around my shoulders.

"Ma'am you can't flirt your way in here." The guys says, smirking. I place a hand on my hip and jut out my bottom lip.

"Not only that but you and your group cut everyone hun." He says, staring at everyone behind me and at my group.

I walk close to him and trail my index finger down his broad chest. I feel him shake just the tiniest of a bit. I get on my tip toes and whisper in his ear.

"I'll give you my number if you let us in...sir." I pull away, and he unclasps the velvet rope. I let everyone walk ahead of me and then begin walking in myself, but not before he grabs my arm softly.

I see Leo jerk back at the sight, but I shoot him a look. He rolls his eyes and waits to the side.

"I'll come looking for you later. Alright?" I nod and wink at him, and he lets go of my arm.

"I hate it when you do that." Leo says with a sigh.

"We wouldn't have gotten in anyways. And don't be jelly. He's not my type anyways." I say with a smirk.

He grabs me roughly by the waist and tugs me towards him. He bites my neck softly, and the moves my face to meet his.

"You're mine. And only mine alright?" I nod with a smile.

Damn I love it when he gets all possessive. I kiss him softly on the lips, and then he smiles against mine.

"God I love you." He mutters with his eyes closed.

"I love you too." I say softly and eskimo kiss him. "Now lets go. They're beginning to count down." I grab his hand and tug him along with me to the center of the club.

"I can't wait for us to get married. For you to have my child." He says, as everyone begins counting down from ten.

I smile and wrap my arms around his neck.

"Neither can I,love. Happy new year." I get on my tip toes, just as everyone explodes in excitement, and kiss him passionately. He returns it, with just as much. When we pull back I find the whole group paired up. Kristin with Oliver, Alosha with Dylan, and surprisingly, Jasmine with Ashton.

"Well this will definitely be an exciting new year." Leo says chuckling lowly in my ear. I nod against his shoulder, but continue to hug him closer. It most definitely will be.
life is a beach (*chuckle chuckle* get it lol)

Emmett

I know I'm supposed to be a smart guy, but I honestly don't know what to think.

Lacey and my parents stopped by earlier, with Ace in tow. Lacey had also been invited to go to the party Jane went to, but said she'd rather go to the family friends party.

"Maybe less classy," she laughed, "but filled with people I adore. Besides, I don't want to go support a teenage marriage, no matter how much like Avery. It's a dumb choice; there's so much to do after High School than get married! Next thing you know, she'll be pregnant! I'll tell her congrats at school, but it seems almost like a waste of potential."

My parents hugged me and apologized, but I swore up and down that I didn't mind, as I never really made it up that late anyway. When my parents and Lacey leave, Ace lingers behind. She's wearing a purple dress to match the purple streak in her hair, and it glittered in my vision.

"I hope you know that Jane is coming back, Emmett. Lacey was texting her. You won't be alone. None of us would ever let us happen."

She smiled, and blew me a kiss before walking out.

I wait a few hours, the hallways echoing with a few lonely steps of nurses. This was a terrible time to be caught here, but at least the accident had prevented Christmas. My IPad crosses my lap, and I watch episodes of Merlin, another British show that I like. I'm almost done with season five, finishing up the already retired show. I wonder, blankly, if Jane watches Merlin too.

It's 10:30 when the door creaks open, and my heart stops. "Emmett?"

I'd been avoiding thinking about Jane for as long as I could, because I'm scared of what she could possibly have meant to me; I'm scared of what I mean to her. I'm frightened of what those kisses on the cheeks could mean, what they did mean, what they mean now.

God, tenses.

I pause the show. "You're a Smith fan, aren't you?"

Jane walks in, looking confused, but smiling. "What?"

"I guessed, earlier, that you were Tennant, because every girl in the world is a Tennant fan. You aren't, are you? You laughed more at Smith's jokes in the fiftieth."

Jane sits down besides my bed. "That's something we had in common, you know."

"No, I don't know, but I'm re-learning." I take a look at her, trying to avoid looking at how pretty she is (right, the last thing I need is a crush), focusing instead on the fact that she is wearing a New Year's-esque dress. "How'd your thing go?"

"I told Avery what she needed to know. Stood up for all the things I've done, for the people she's hurt. She must hate my guts." She pauses. "You don't even remember her, do you?"

"Lacey mentioned her, when they came to visit earlier. Getting married. 'Terrible decision, waste of potential' situation?"

"I love your sister. Yeah, that's pretty much it, but a tad bit more complicated for me. Avery Piest is pretty, popular, the type of girl who doesn't acknowledge her flaws, only cries over them when they get in the way."

I lean my head on the back wall flipping shut the cover of the IPad. "Tell me about them, Jane. The people I've forgotten. The people who are there in my mind, but exist only as ghosts."

Jane looks sad. "Oliver is British. He lives with me, and he rescued you. He dated your sister for a while, but now he's dating Avery's cousin, Kristen. To be honest, I think your sister would be better for him, even though I love Kristen." I nod, but cannot picture who she is talking about. "Kristen is really gorgeous, and overly friendly. She... had a thing for you, for awhile, but it didn't work out."

She looks at me, but the names only ring a bell in a far, mythical portion of my mind. "Lacey does deserve a British guy." Is all I can say.

Jane smiles. I like her smile, and I have an urge to have more of it, as though it s the water to my brain's drought. "There's more, too, of course, but those are the two I know the most. Lacey's friend Ace. Your friend Taylor, with the beanie. Andrew, with the really dorky glasses."

"I... think I remember them. They came to visit, Andy and Taylor. I remember them the most, out of anybody I'm not related to. They were there for me when we first moved here... I... just don't remember when it was."

I get this sick feeling in my stomach, an overwhelming grossness. I can't even remember the year I came here? Can I even remember Jane's last name? What Oliver looks like? Why gorgeous Kristen Piest had a crush on me?

The answer is no, and I feel an overwhelming sorrow at my losses well up inside me.

"Oh God, Emmett." Jane takes my hand, something that should feel alien, something that isn't right, but feels like she's done so a million times before. Maybe she has. "Don't cry, Emmett. I won't be able to hold it together if you do."

I wipe the water from my eyes, watching the clock. I can hardly trust my own voice. "I'm tougher than that, Jane."

To my surprise, her answer is beyond honest. "I know you, Emmett. You don't even know how well I know you. You aren't as tough as you pretend to be.

I let her keep hold of my hand. We don't talk as the minutes go by. "That was brave of you, standing up to Avery."

"Yeah? That was brave of me to let you take your hand."

It's quarter to, now. "Blow out the candle when it strikes midnight, will you. It's a bit of a tradition, blowing out the candle of 2013. The Nurse was nice to bring it to me. Sometimes we burn all the bad stuff that happened from the year and burn it."

Jane smiles. She uses a piece of paper on the nightstand, writing a few things down. She moves to the candle, and we both watch it go up in flames.

"Here's to a new year, and new forgiveness."

"Amen to that."

She brings the candle to me, and we blow it out together, as soon as the clock says Midnight.

"Happy New Year's, Emmett."

"Happy New Year, Jane."
I have loved the words and I have hated them. I only hope I have made them right.

Jasmine Bradley Urbaniak

"We've got a disco ball, loud music, and time running out... seems romantic." Ashton waggled his eyebrows.

"Sure," I smirked, rolling my eyes.

"Jasmine, would you like to be my New Year's kiss?" he asked.

Him asking me was just something I would've said yes to a year back. But now, it was the last thing I wanted to do. Any girl in this room would be glad to kiss him. He should find someone else soon. It was easy for him, just a few words and done. Or he''d just plant one on a random girl, and her life would be made. Just not mine. I let him get me one time, last New Years' Eve.

"Ash, find someone that'll say yes." I smiled, pushing away from him.

I walked through the crowded place, people bumped into me as they dance. The music blasted Pitbull, almost deafening me. I found my way around the sweaty teens and young adults to the bar. A few people were seated as they watched the bartender do a trick with a martini glass and a kiwi mix bottle. He threw the bottle and glass in the air, like a juggler, then caught the bottle on his shoulder blade, letting it pour the contents out into the glass he just caught in his hand. The people clapped and I joined them, sitting down.

"Hit me up," I said, sliding a five on the bar.

The guy looked over at me and gave me a soft smirk. He finished the drink and gave it to one of the people and then walked over to me. Leaning his arms on the table, his face was close to mine, and I did not mind. He was handsome, may I say he resembled Zac Efron in the least bit? And his eyes, it looked like he was tired, those browns were clouded with pleasure of seeing me though. He had that look to him that said 'I may like this job, but I'd rather be at home watching Doctor Who.'. That's how I am sometimes when I have to sing. Okay, he really looked like Zac Efron, and I've met Zac, so I know each flaw and perfection on his face. But he wasn't Zac, that would be impossible. And plus, he had a birthmark on his neck in the shape of a sloppy drawing of Illinois. Zac didn't have that.

"What may I serve you?" he asked, licking his lips.

"A spritz, orange juice though." I smiled.

"On the way," his eyes traveled to my bust as he pulled away, slipping the five into his jean pocket.

Jeez. I wanted to get out of this dress. If I were Bradley now, I wouldn't have minded it as much. I wear these kinds of things in celebrity mode because it's for the publicity, attention, and social life. So I'm used to it when I wear my wig. But without my Bradley attire, I feel it's unnecessary to wear this and I'm not used to it. I never liked wearing this stuff, even as Bradley, but being her I knew I had to, so it was okay.

It was a pretty dress, don't get my wrong. Avery had great taste. I was just... I liked being covered.

The bartender did a little dance as he got my drink ready. I barely looked at him, but I smiled when he turned his head to me. He poured the drink into one glass and then slid it down the bar and I caught it in my hand. I put it to my lips and took a sip.

Damn, it was good.

I almost downed the rest, but stopped myself, knowing there was alcohol in it. As I put the glass back on the table, I noticed a napkin was under my coaster. So I took it in my hands and read it.

Hey, Purple. Here's my number if you ever wanna talk. Bartender aka Reilly.

Even though it was such a play like in any bar, I couldn't help but throw on a cheeky smile and stuff that napkin into the purse I had. I had gotten numbers before... as Bradley. This bar was my top one too. I got a total of sixty two numbers which made Avery go ballistic and then happy dance for me. But as Jasmine... this was my first number. And it wasn't even sick. He said if you wanna talk, and I actually believe he meant that.

I looked over into the crowd and saw all the people I knew. Ave, Leo, Kristin, Oli, and Ash was clinging onto one girl. It just brought back memories. But last time I was here, it was with Ave, Will, and Ash. And this is where he played me and took my virginity. Though, he was nice to me. He knew and took care of me. But I knew he really wanted sex. He wouldn't be that desperate to take a virgin, but I was there and I loved him. I was in love with him. That was easy. And it;s not like he would ever see me again, and I wouldn't tell anyone. But, it still felt like he maybe cared.

"Eight!" the people started to chant. "Seven!" "SIX!" "Grab someone!" "Three!"

And I was pulled off the stool. My legs barely caught the ground when I landed in familiar arms. Looking up, I saw those eyes. Those blue eyes that took me last time. I was scared and ready to dash. I didn't need a repeat. But then, he held me close, licked his lips.

"ONE!" Everyone screamed but the both of us.

He brushed his lips on mine, sending me in euphoria. I clinged onto him, my hands touching his neck so he could get closer. He had his hands on my back and held me.

Ashton

"Mmm... I knew that it was you. My little Bradley." I say against her lips after all of the yelling dies down. Her eyes widen and she begins to pull away but I tighten my arm around her waist. I kiss her softly again, savoring the sweet taste of her lips. She pulls harder against me, and I let her go with a look of shock. Well this is a first.

"Didn't I say no earlier? I know that you've always had trouble getting things through that thick, cocky skull of yours, but I didn't know that its gotten worse." She says, slowly wiping off her lips, and looking at me with a frown.

"Oh stop being so cruel. You can't tell me you haven't missed me." I say smirking. She rolls her eyes and crosses her arms.

"Oh, but I can. I haven't missed you one bit since last time." I can tell that she's lying. By the way that she keeps looking down at those uncomfortable looking pumps Avery lent her.

"Wow. Stab me in the heart, and then twist the knife why dontcha. But since you simply refuse to be honest with sweet ole me, I'll say it first. I've missed you. Very much." Her eyes slightly widen, and stare up at me with that innocence she had just a year ago. But then she shakes her head as if dismissing the thought.

"Yeah right. Mr. Bigshot missed me. Ha." She begins turning away and something compels me to say whats been on my mind since she first left L.A.

"You didn't answer my calls." I say quietly. Although the music is steady pumping she seems to still be able to hear me.

"I was busy." She says and begins walking away, her cute little butt sashaying in the tight dress Avery lent to her. I run to catch up and she rolls her eyes when she sees me by her side.

"Why do you go by Jasmine now? Its so weird." I ask with a frown. I miss being able to call her the Bradster, which she really hated.

"I wasn't in the mood to be famous, alright? All of the fame, fortune, and crap turns into mush after awhile. And at some point I'd just like to sit down with some snacks and watch Doctor Who for hours. Is that too much to ask?" She asks rhetorically.

"But Bradley is who you are." I say, grabbing her arm and tugging her to a nearby hallway to talk. She yanks her arm out of my hand and glares at me.

"No. It's not. Bradley is just who I wanna be when I feel like. And I'd appreciate it if you'd call me Jasmine." I roll my eyes at her.

"Why can't you just be both? Thats what I have to do, and you don't see me complaining." I say with a shrug.

"Well of course not. You love the fame and attention. You thirst for it as soon as you wake up, and hunger for it at night. You use it to attract girls, and to take advantage. Try not to compare us ever again. We're nothing alike." I find myself glaring right back at her.

"Do you not fucking think that I hate being me sometimes? Do you seriously think that everything is sunshine and daisies for me? Well I've got news for you. Its not. I would love to go out to a cafe one day, and to not have someone call out "Oh its Ashton Baxter". I'd love to be able to make friends, to actually get a girl to like me, without them knowing that I'm famous and rich. Everyone is fucking fake in this world Jasmine! No matter who you choose to act as, you'll either be treated with fake respect and adoration, or real pettiness, drama, and shit. All I was trying to say was..." I take a deep breath "I miss you. The real, weird, innocent girl I knew a year ago. She was beautiful, dignified, intelligent, and unique. All I see now...is someone fake." I sigh when I finish.

"Its not my fault that you took that innocence away from me Ashton! You can't purposely run over your puppy, and then expect to see it when you get back home. I'm so sorry if you don't like what you see now, but here I am." She hisses at me.

"Is he giving you some trouble, Miss?" Some young guy who works here I guess asks.

"Um, we're speaking dude. Get the fuck out of here." I say, glaring at the guy.

"Actually, do you mind leading me back to the bar. This guy was giving me a bit of trouble, and I kind of forgot how to get back to familiar grounds." She says with a flirt smile on her face.

"No problem ma'am. I'm glad I could help." The guy says, putting his hand on the small of her back.

"I swear to god Jasmine. If you go with that guy, I'll have him fired within a week." She looks up worriedly at the guy and begins to back away but he smiles at her and takes her hand gently.

"Don't worry. He doesn't have the power to do that." He says calmly. She nods her head with a smile of her own and follows him.

"I swear, these little young millionaires and actors think that they can throw their weight around wherever they go." I hear him say loudly as they get lost in the crowd.

"Its actually billionaire, you stupid son of a bitch." I mutter to myself, taking my phone out of my pocket.

I was happy. I was so... happy. Nothing ran past my mind except for Harley. She had that smile that showed her innocence. And her eyes were beautiful, showing how real she was. Man, she was different from any other girl I've ever met. Though, Lena is a little like her. What happened to Lena anyway?

We were walking to my car. It was almost twelve o'clock and I am used to have someone to kiss. I wasn't going to kiss Harley. That was too much. And plus, I just met her... even though she was pretty. It's just. No. Why am I even thinking this? No point.

"Where do you wanna go?" I asked once we hopped into the pick-up.

"Anywhere, you're owing me." she smiled.

Finally, I got her comfortable with me. I smiled and slid the car in the ignition, starting the car. The heater turned on and we drove off. As we drove, I caught snow falling from the sky. And then, all at once, it started to pound down. All this snow covered at the streets, almost blinding me as I drove. It was hard to see in front of me, I even flickered the high beams on but they did nothing.

"Shit," I huffed.

The moderate speed I was going at was ten miles an hour, and that was helping no one. I didn't even notice the cars around me. As I pushed the gas, I realized I couldn't go anywhere quicker. I felt the gas trying to trudge against the snow. And then, all of a sudden, the truck jumped, making my heart race. I looked over at Harley and saw her gripping the handle on the ceiling and the emergency brake. She didn't pull it up.

"Are you okay?" I asked her as I hit the brake. We stopped and I let myself breathe.

All she did is nod frantically and not even look at me. I smiled and hit the gas again, trudging through the snow.

"It's twelve." I heard Harley whisper.

I looked at her for a second and still tried to navigate.

"Happy New Year!" I said. "I know, not the best way to have it, but it's here."

Somehow, I managed my way and we parked at the lot. We sat in the Starbucks by the restaurant we just left. It was around one in the morning so we were the only people here, other than the people behind the counter. Some music was playing throughout, simple coffee house songs. We happened to be sitting in these comfy seats that were orange and big, making a very comfy place to be at this hour. I had my green tea in my hand and looked at her, her eyes so contagious.

"Harley, how do you know Avery? Unless you were there for something else." I asked.

"She invited me actually. I met her with her fiance... she said that I was a person worth getting to know." she replied, sipping her drink.

I could tell she was nervous by the way she was tapping her slim fingers against the cup she was holding.

"Avery knows a good person when she sees one."

She smiled a shy smile that made my insides all warm and gooey that I was afraid of. Still, I let myself feel that and keep my eyes on her.

"Right..." she sighed. "It's hard to believe anyone can see the good in people."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, everyone has good and bad in their hearts. It doesn't make them either or." it's like she was getting at something.

"Well, it doesn't matter. I just want to get to know you."

I took a sip of my green tea and then put it down on the table in front of us. The girl at the front was talking on the phone with someone rather loudly, complaining she got the night shift this week. I couldn't help but shake my head at what she was saying.

"Why? Why would you want to get to know me? You just owe my coffee." her voice was sort of off putting, it made me wonder what she's been through.

Looking at her, I watched something in her face change, like a shadow wiped passed it. She had some history that I wasn't ready to get into. But it looked un pleasant.

"You know that's a way of asking a girl out, right?" I gave her a smirk.

This made her blush, but then she looked around, nervous.

This wedding happened to spur things up around Kristin and I. We got extremely sexual. I don't know if it was the wedding. Like maybe we were afraid we'd get over each other and find someone new... or we wanted to build up to a relationship that could lead to a wedding. Or maybe we just wanted each other.

Was I turning into a girl? Uh. Stop.

"Oli," Kristin rolled onto my shoulder, her bare self crushing into mine.

I looked over at her and smiled, taking in her beautiful smile. Every time I looked at her, I couldn't help but fall in love with her again.

"Want me to make breakfast?" I asked, running my hand through her hair.

A twinkle hopped in her eyes as I hopped out of bed, pulling her along with me. We walked out of my room and walked into the kitchen. Jane happened to stay at the hospital last night, so we had the place all to ourselves. Kristin ran into the bathroom to get ready. I got the food ready and started cooking.

After a few minutes later, I had the bacon already done and on the plate. Now it's time for the eggs and pancakes.

"Is that my man cooking?" Kristin said with a laugh.

I looked up and saw her wearing my Led Zeppelin T-Shirt as she walked up to me. Flipping the pancake, I put the spatula back down on the counter and turned to face her. She had her arms wrapped around me, so I placed my hand on the back of her head and pulled her closer, kissing her softly.

"Sit down, I'm almost done cooking." I said.

"Why don't I finish and you get rid of that morning breath."

Pulling away, I walked to the bathroom and let her take care of the rest. I got ready in the bathroom and got out, catching her finish off plating. I walked over and smiled, sitting down at the breakfast island.

Her phone started to ring and she jumped to it.

"Oh man, it's Ave. I'll be right back." and she walked over to the balcony.

I put a heater there just so we could sit and still be warm, so I wasn't worried she would freeze or anything.

What do I say?

He's hot as hell, and I'm, well...me.

But he keeps staring at me.

Not really my body.

My face.

Gah, the way he smiled. It was adorable.

I was staring at my cup, tracing the edge of it with my finger.

Noticing my other hand was tapping the bottom of the cup, I forced it to stop, and set it in my lap.

"Why? Why would you want to get to know me? You just owe me coffee." I asked, trying to hide my voice from the past.

I don't have a clue as to why I was thinking about memories.

I thought of the first time I went to a coffee shop wit- no. We're not thinking of this.

He was staring at me.

"You know that's a way of asking a girl out, right?" He said after awhile, smirking.

I blushed, and looked away, thinking of home, and him.

I don't know what it was about him that...made me think of him more.

And Halana was probably worrying about me.

I should text her...

"So, um, tell me about yourself." He said, breaking my thoughts.

My blush faded slightly, and I looked back to him, clearing my throat quietly.

"Uh, well...you see, my paren- biological mother and father...abandoned me when I was three." I told him, not very loud.

I hated telling people about this. But, I couldn't always push away what happened.

His face softened, and he was still staring at my face. My eyes.

"They were nice enough to leave me by an orphanage. How kind, right?" Sarcasm dripped in my voice. I tried to hold back my emotions, but I could feel them breaking loose.

I inhaled slowly, and exhaled quietly.

"You don't have to tell me anymore if you don't want to...alright, Harley?"

I felt a tear escape my eye, and trail down my cheek.

"Tell me what you do on a daily basis."

I nodded, and a faint smile appeared on my face, thinking of my family at home.

"Wake up. Freshen up. Make breakfast for my foster siblings. Callie, Tacket, Ruby, Sylvia, and Conner. Um...oh, go for a jog. Come home, play games with my siblings. Make lunch. Sometimes we go to the park, and play whatever." I look at my cup, and my smile grows. I feel him looking at me, listening. "We go home. Watch TV, most of the time they want to watch anything that contains adventure. Then we cook dinner together. Eat together. And I tuck them in, read them stories until they're all asleep. Then go talk to my Foster Mom, Halana. She's always busy, which is why I take care of the kids. She still does a lot, though."

"So you still live in the orphanage?" He asked, curiosity covering his voice, and face.

I nod. "But I'm choosing to. The kids beg me all the time to stay. They don't go to school, because Halana doesn't like public schools. We usually teach them during the summer."

He coughed, and looked at me again.

This guy was a good listener.

And, so, so, so cute.

His tradition. His family's tradition. Well, we never had this moment before, as we never celebrated New Year's before, like, together. It was a first and I loved that I was there for it. What I wrote on the card though... I didn't know what to write, so I just wrote something we could all agree on.

I wish that everything would work out.

That was my wish. My hope.

I woke up at around seven in the morning and saw that Emmett was still asleep. For a second, I didn't know where I was or what was going on until my brain started to work again. Ah, I fell asleep as we watched Merlin. I managed to plug the tablet into the TV so we could watch it together. Even though I could've gone home, I really didn't want to. He needed the company. And, I needed him.

I made my way to the bathroom to freshen up and then got out to see that Emmett was still sleeping soundly. It was time to leave. I wrote on a notepad a note for him so he could know I left. Once I finished, I lied it back down on the bedside table.

Looking at him for one more second, I threw on my coat and left his room.

Shit. I couldn't get out of the hospital parking lot. None of the roads were plowed around me and my VW couldn't take it. Now I was wishing to get Will's pick-up. Wait, Will's pick-up! He could tow my car and get me!

The first thing I did was ring him up.

"Hello? Jane? Why are you waking me?" his voice was all sleepy which was sort of attractive like on every guy.

"Sorry Will. I just wanted to ask if it wouldn't be any trouble..." I took a pause. "...if you could tow my car out of the hospital parking lot and take me home?"

It took him a while to think. I was feeling nervous, he had every right to say he couldn't, I mean, maybe his truck couldn't handle the weather. Which is highly doubtful, but it's possible.

"Yeah. no trouble at all. I'll be there in a few." and he hung up.

I decided it was best to text Lacey and let her know that I left and that Emmett was fast asleep. After sending the text, I leaned my head back against the head rest and waited for the heat to surround me. The car wasn't hot enough yet.

My phone went off and I grabbed it, seeing Oliver's name pop up. Answering it, I watched the snow fall on my car. And I just wiped it clean... dammit.

"Yo," I said. "That is the first and only time I will be saying that." I smiled.

"Good," he laughed.

"What'd you want?"

"Are you still at the hospital? I mean, I'm happy you are cause that give Kris and I some peace... not saying you're bad or anything..."

"Okay, I seem unwanted." I huffed playfully.

"No, Jane. I just wanted to check if you were okay."

And by that he meant... well, I know what he meant. Being at the hospital with Emmett wasn't as fun as I'd like it to be. It was tough. Seeing him in his state was heartbreaking and not only that, I was being selfish. I wanted him to love me again. It hurts.

"Yeah, I'll be alright. Go back to Kristin."

"Great, just don't lie to me again. I know you. Don't think about it. He's having it tougher, and you know that. So get over yourself and try to help him." he was trying.

"I know I should... it's just hard."

"You'll get it. I'm gonna go."

"Kiss Kris for me, give her a sloppy one!" I laughed.

He laughed along and said something under his breathe that I couldn't quite catch, hanging up afterword. I let my phone fall out of my hand and grunted. The way my heart was beating was too fast for anyone. I couldn't stop thinking about Emmett's kisses. How soft and great they were. How gentle he was. The way he held me felt electrifying, like when I held his hand earlier, so natural and yet, abnormal.

My phone bleeped and I looked at it, seeing a text from Lacey.

I'm happy he's asleep, he wasn't able to fall asleep for days. Good thing you guys had fun :)

I replied.

Yeah, he was snoring when I left lol xD So, how's your morning?

Just a few seconds later and my phone bleeped again.

It's um, okay. My parents are ranting about how we could help Emmett. Even though we can't do much but try to get him to remember something. It sucks, he doesn't even know he's a young adult. He still thinks he's like fifteen.

OMG that's not good. That's when you guys moved here? He barely remembers the move. It's so hard on him.

Yeah, it really is. I'm happy you're there for him Jane, really. I gotta run, sorry. Ttyl!

Okay, bye :)

I put my phone back in my purse and sighed, imagining what it would be like to be Emmett at this moment.

Jasmine Bradley Urbaniak

I wanted Ashton. I really did. But it was hard to believe what he was saying. He was like a Barney from How I Met Your Mother. Such a player, and easy to be fooled by. I was Robin. Literally. I know, they got married in the end, but Ashton and I are different. Completely different. And now that he's discovered I'm Bradley, ouch, that's heart wrenching. My real name happens to be Jasmine, but he doesn't see that since to him I;m the Bradster. Whatever.

The bartender pulled me out of that situation and I don't know if I should be happy or mad about it. It's not like I wanted to leave Ashton. I wanted to talk to him. But it was hard not to want to believe him and kiss him. So, I guess this dude saved my ass from being played.

"I'm Reilly by the way," The guy said as we walked.

I looked up at him and saw that Reilly really matched him. Sometimes people's names just don't work, but him, I would say Zac was a better choice but Reilly fit perfectly too.

"Jasmine," I smiled.

"Who was that guy anyway?"

"You don't recognize him?"

He smiled with all his teeth and it made me want to kiss him. His smile was real and sincere.

"Not at all, but by the way he was acting, I could tell he was an ex of yours." I loved his voice, deep yet very young.

"Yes he is, but he's also Ashton Baxter! Celebrity actor!" I faked enthusiasm.

A laugh came out of him as I joined it, covering my mouth. The party was still alive as people danced around us. Reilly took my hand in his and led me to a door that was behind the bar. We ended up in a storage/break room. There was a couch and a kitchen area but if you looked to the left, there was a room with all the supplies you need to run this club.

"I think I've seen him in a movie somewhere." he paused. "I just need to grab some stuff for the bar, you're welcome to sit."

I took his propsistion and sat down on the comfy couch, almost sinking into the fabric. The music from the club was faint, but still detectable. My phone started to ring from my purse. I had it slug over my shoulder. I pulled it out and saw Avery's name blinking.

"Hello?" I asked.

On her end, you could hear the music. She was still here.

"Have you seen Ash?" she asked, all drunk.

"Why?"

"Cause, he's missing..."

"He probably found a girl to bang. He's fine."

She paused, making me uncomfortable.

"What?" I asked.

"But he kissed you..."

I hit the hang up button and slid the phone back in my bag. Reilly emerged from the storage room carrying a box of something. It was a wooden crate actually, so I'd suspect alcohol. The crate didn't look heavy by the way he was carrying it, but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to lift it.

"Hey muscle man." I winked.

He cracked a laugh and set the crate down, sitting on it himself.

"You really didn't think I was flirting with you with that napkin?" he asked.

That sort of caught me off guard. And he noticed that.

"I mean, a lot of girls think I'm just asking for sex. Sometime I am, but with you, I wasn't. You seemed troubled and I wanted to be nice." He added.

"I never met any considerate boys before... maybe cause they were boys. You're more manly then most." I smiled. "and no, I got the image you were being nice."

He smiled back, his beautiful blue eyes twinkling in the fluorescent lights. Standing up, he picked up the crate. I followed him, opening the door back to the bar for him.

"Thanks," he said.

I nodded my head and let him out, following after.

The Morning After

I woke up to five missing texts and seven missed calls. Looking around the room, I noticed I didn't know where I was. Shit.

"Oh my God, where am I?" I whispered to myself in a hurry.

But then I remembered. Last night. Reilly was being a good guy and took me home after I had a few more drinks. He didn't do anything to me and let me sleep on his bed. I remember telling Avery I had left. So why is she ringing me?

I picked up my phone and called her.

"What's happening?" I asked once she answered.

"Ashton is missing!" she was frantic.

"No he isn't. Ave, he's a big boy. He can take care of himself. He's probably at home, fucking a fooled girl." I reassured her.

"No, then he would still answer my calls. Jasmine, be honest, what did you do?"

I smiled, holding back my laughter. "He would answer while he's having sex? I doubt it."

"Jasmine."

"Is this a prank? Does he want me that bad?"

Then the door of the bedroom opened, making me jump. Reilly stood there and smiled, just realizing I was on the phone I covered the speaker with my hand. Just seeing him made my heart race.

"I'll be right out. And, thank you." I said.

He nodded, "Alright, I ordered some breakfast since I can't cook. I know, bad host. But it's good food!"

I couldn't help but laugh as he closed the door behind him and left. Uncovering the speaker, I listened to Avery panic.

"Ave, Ave!" I almost yelled.

She shut up for a moment and let me speak.

"I'll go look for him, I'm sure where he is."

"Okay, just... find him."

I hung up and got dressed. It was time to find that bastard. And I knew where he was.
