When I go to Uni, I plan on taking either Advanced Science with a Major or Specialisation in Software / Computer Science, or an IT (mainly programming based) course.
I'm studying Medicine! I debated for a long time between doing it and an arts degree, in English or History. I loved English and History but in the end I felt too strong a vocation towards being a doctor. So that's what I'm doing. And I don't think I'd be happy doing anything else!

I'm almost done with my four years of undergrad in Biotechnology, as you know, and looking at grad school options. I've found a love for life/medical sciences, and something that I hope I can earn a living out of.
With the whole scenario of jobs though, I'm still confused because right after grad school, I need a job that pays decently so that I can repay loans; so an immediate PhD is out of the question. Lately, I've been looking at journal companies to see what sort of people they hire.

I'm studying English with a concentration in Creative Writing. The college I'm at now is a community college so the courses aren't as advanced or rigorous as I'd like. The college I'm going to in the fall though, has an amazing English program.
Originally I was an education major. In order to complete that major, you need to do 30 hours working in a classroom student teaching. During my time student teaching, I realized it wasn't what I wanted to do with my life so I turned to writing. I still have no idea what I want to do after I graduate, but this college I'm going to in the fall is real good about finding you a job coming out of school.

I'm only a junior in high school and I'm planning on majoring in creative writing. But, I'll also add a minor or double-major to make it more marketable. I told a friend the other day "I can't wait for college. All I'll have to study is history and English, and I can take all the weird writing electives I want. And my dad will yell at me about how I'll never get a job. It'll be awesome!" XD

I'll finish my MS in December, and I'm still trying to figure this all out.
That said... I did my undergrad in English Lit. (with almost-minors (read, I was too lazy to finish/didn't want to spend an extra semester at uni) in Anthropology and Music), my MS is in Library and Information Science, and I'm debating getting some kind of degree or certification in something IT-ish, so computer science, systems stuff, something like that.
Or I'll go do something with digital humanities or new media stuff. That stuff's fun!
As for why... I did what sounded like fun at the time? Well, there's more to it than that, but that'd be an entire essay ^^

I'm just finishing my first year at college as an English major with a Communications minor. I really wish people would stop asking me if I want to teach! Seriously, as soon as I say what my major is, people automatically go, "Oh, what grade do you want to teach?" Um... none? I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with my degree, but I would love to maybe get into the publishing industry.
