we are the great fling of a frizbee throw like how you used to call me Cookies and I would launch you back a pout these games we played delighted Day but spinning heads could not have saved what came failing on after

Day was my calculus professor some, some years ago P: X is my best friend, and I'll be writing poems for and about him.
dare I welcome you back to Georgia the red back pines the rolling hills the lazy summer days horseback mottled flies dart perturbed by humidity sweat drenched creeks children playing in woods sink sand stories of ghosts between the barks & banks
you lived out in the boonies with the sheepdogs held your hand out to me scaled and rough with cotton puffs stitched in the need to protect in those limbs I see your Jamaica in those eyes
I see myself too— those brown molasses pools shown in the negative
when I'm there writing you is writing that hole inside myself
Oh, Reason 2 was lovely ^^ I could really identify with it, being from the South (assuming you're talking about the American state, and not the Middle Eastern country). I love poems like this. It seems to me like the last two lines are kind of irrelevant and unnecessary, but maybe that's just me. Favorite line(s): stories of ghosts between the barks and banks, and I see Jamaica in those eyes.
"My hobbies include editing my life story, hiding behind metaphors, and trying to convince my shadows that I am someone worth following." - Rudy Francisco
i wanna be a modern day femme warrior nomad because i find funny the way your expression says i could've axed off my knees instead
but didja know the American <<ow!>> first derived from the core of cow heavily processed and shoveled to citizens intestines and inners going down like stones scraping narrow gullets?
the Spanish want for none of that they prefer the pain of <<aiiie>> battle cries of the one-eyed pirates of the Armada who stuffed cannons like how we popped pills
Japan of east mark <<itai!>> times over the kiss of a samurai sword swiped clean of entrails and the whistle of boiling your rice by tea
the Brits are a more sophisticated bunch let loose all <<interjection nonsense>> for swap of poetic !@#$&0 phrasings
i told the nurse the trouble with not knowing where you're from is not knowing how to express your pain all you end up is the hung open silence of an O tongued fish
I told the nurse the trouble with not knowing where you're from is not knowing how to express your pain all you end up is the hung open silence of an O tongued fish.
I like the ending of this poem. I want to connect to the places in deeper ways to really feel like I miss them in the end.
you can message me with anything: questions, review requests, rants are you a green room knight yet? have you read this week's Squills?
<3 Thx. This next one's a bit rough on the edges, but I'll work on it some time.
Reason 5
we're in a skybox above carnival scapes dangling by wires, a straight away zip
yet somehow, I'm back home at my mother's clothesline tending old laundry.
I used to take the clothespins off, feel the wooden prongs the spring coiled fresh for the bite
The game was to stick them at the edge of nostrils, the tips of ears, whatever flap of skin wanted sacrifice most, and endure.
Endure until you're the last one standing--- broken face wide, but I won everytime.
The trick is to close both eyes and smile smile so that your face morphs another person so that you're teeth plays push-ups with each twitch of a muscle so that the tears pour forth closed lids so that the monkey smiles break hyena laugh, and feel the dimples fold in each cheek, tighter, tighter until all shapes contort, until your body breathes quivers, and nostrils sneeze the face off.
When we're back on ground, you asked how I enjoyed today, by now I'm such a pro, I don't even need clothespins.
I grow a little fisherman each day, who waits by the bay's hide and tries to hold on tight to the line, leash up my spine, and strike, strike until the water's fine.
He's in my soup at night forgetting to eat - so I forget the eating and invite whomever,
just
come by 'cross the line and take me places, talk about going and meeting faces, then talk about the comfort of our living homes. Our bodies tracing skin and sundials phoning for shadow's kin.
Later, we'll rent some cartwheels, or better! Some stones to pepper the lake.
