Sara and Drew looked at each other, blinking in confusion. So much was expected of them lately- and they didn't even know where to start!
"It seemed like just the other day that we were living our lives in peace, away from anyone else... but now- I don't think I've meet so many new people in the same period of time in my life!" Sara stated, shaking her head.
"The other day?" Drew responded, finally removing the mask that covered half his face. "Really that was just a few hours ago."
"hard to believe... Now, what do you think of this revolution?"
"I have no great love for my own kind..." Drew reminded her. "But it seems like we better find this 'Vengence' and see what's really going on before we're too late. There's change in the air little sister, and we best not be left without a kite."
Sara laughed, hitting him on the shoulder. "Wow. Very wise..." she looked down at her own hand, then his, both of which were still clasping the voice recorders Swiftfur had given them. "Better hold on to these, just in case."
Drew nodded his agreement and took both recorders, placing them in his backpack then, together, they ran back into the woods- their clearing disappearing in the brush behind them.
"What do we do now Drew?"
"something we haven't dared to do since we first went into hiding- visit the slums."
Sara repressed a shiver, following after him with trust. If there was ever a person who knew how to go unnoticed and still stay safe, if was her brother.
