Kat
Andrew and Kat walked back into the house and locked the doors tightly behind them. Kat went back into the kitchen and cleaned up the dishes, humming as she did. Andrew gave her a weird grin and he leaned up against the door post. Kat glanced over at him and stood up straight. "What?" She asked, smiling.
"Oh, don't act like you don't know." He said. grinning even more.
Kat rolled her eyes and put the dishes in the dish washer. "I am not acting, I do not know what you are hinting at." She said.
"You and George." He said, helping her.
"What about 'George and me'." Kat asked.
"Oh do not play that game, you so like him." Andrew said, laughing.
Kat thought for a moment. "What? Where did you get that from?" She asked, blushing. She closed the dishwasher and started it up.
"That look you give him. He looks at you that way too. Plus he talks to you, a lot." Andrew said. Kat never though about having a crush on George.
"I am not sure." Kat said.
"What do you mean you are not sure?" Andrew asked.
"I am not sure if I like him." Kat said. She looked at the clock and it was getting really late. "Hey, you need to you to bed. I have to work tomorrow and you are going to your friends house. We both need sleep."
"Why do I have to go to his house anyway?" Andrew asked, a moan in his voice.
"Because you cannot, and will not, stay alone in this house without your father or me in this house. I do not trust the world." Kat said.
"Okay 'mom', I get it." Andrew laughed. He walked out of the kitchen and up to his room. Kat turned off the lights and went up to her room as well. She changed into shorts and a loose shirt and laid down in her bed. She quickly fell asleep, not even knowing how sleepy she really was.
The alarm clock rang loudly at nine o'clock in the moring. Kat sighed and work up. She turned the alarm off and yelled for Andrew for him to get up. Minuets later he yells back and she could hear him getting dressed. She sits up in the bed and sighs. She hated mornings. She got out of bed and got into black work out shorts and a bright pink shirt. "The only thing good about working at a gym was that you get to be causal." She mummbled under her breath. She quickly lased up her shoes and walked down stairs. While she walked into the kitchen, she tied her hair up and turned the news on. While she was listening to the news, so got a bottle of water and jumped up on the counter.
"Breaking news! A broken down was found this morning. Could this be another attact? Stay tuned." The lady said. Kat looked at the car and gasped. She ran over to the phone and quickly called the Marshals.
"Hello?" George said. Kat was suprised that he answered the phone.
"Hey, it's Kat. I saw your car on the news! What happened?" She asked.
"Oh our car broke down and we had a little run in with the mutants." He explained. He told her the whole story and they soon got off the phone. Kat drove Andrew to his friends house. She went as fast as she could without getting caught. This was one of the first times, she was affraid to be alone. She rushed to work and was happy to know that she was safe.
