Do you guys remember the old games on the Ps1, and Gbc, you know, old, retro games? I remember when I was a little kid I used to play Pokemon and Tekken a lot. What did you play when you were a little kid?

Oh wow, yeah. That takes me back. We had a PS1, my brother and I, and we had all these games like Rugrats, the original Spyro, Croc, and some strange one about aliens being used to make soda.

My nan used to have a sega, too. My cousins and I used to rally up for marathons of Sonic the Hedgehog games. She also had The Lion King and this Paperboy game that I was the best at.

Man... The memories...

Did you ever play shooting games like SyphonFilter? My mom would yell at my cousins because we were playing violent video games and we were only like four XD.

Used to play Pokemon? I still do! xP

What I really loved when I was younger was playing 007 GoldenEye on the Nintendo 64. Everyone on the block would come over with their controllers to see who's better. Ah, fun times.

Aww, I had the SNES. Super Mario Bros (The original), I fell in love with that game. I never beat it. Then I got a gamecube. The only games I had on that were Mario Kart Double Dash, Pokemon XD: Gales of Darkness, and Star Fox Adventures. I still have XD and Star Fox. Sometimes when I'm bored I'll play Star Fox, because I still haven't beaten it (I play on the Wii).

I grew up with the NES, Gameboy, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, PSX, Dreamcast, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advance.

Some of my earliest gaming memories are Scooby Doo (SNES), Mega Man X (SNES), Tetris (NES) and Doctor Mario (NES).

Here are the games I can recall off of the top of my head that I spent the most time with, per system:

NES: Doctor Mario, Color a Dinosaur, The Legend of Zelda, and of course, Super Mario Brothers

Gameboy: Tetris, Contra, Dragon Dance, some Kirby game

SNES: Super Mario World, Mega Man X, Mega Man X 2, Killer Instinct, Zelda: A Link to the Past

Genesis: Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles

Nintendo 64: Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Glover, Mario Party, Diddy Kong Racing

PSX: Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy Tactics, Sheep Raider, Mega Man Legends

Dreamcast: Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Tomb Raider

Gameboy Color: Mega Man Xtreme, Frogger, Star Wars: Episode 1

Gameboy Advance: Mario & Luigi Super Star Saga

I never had a gameboy color, but I went through three SP's. My first game was pokemon yellow (I loved how pikachu would follow you around)

Oh my gosh, you guys have taken me back. 007 GoldenEye on the Nintendo 64 FTW.

Anybody remember Age of Empires? I mean, I doubt there's anybody here that doesn't know about Half-Life, but I do wonder how many people know AOE.
My SPD senses are tingling.

You're not taking about Oddworld are you? I live that friggin game. I remember rugrats and Spyro and the first silent hill. But before that I had a Sega genesis with mortal kombat, sonic the hedgehog, Doom, vector man, and the Beavis and Butthead game.

Anybody remember pulling the cartridges out and blowing on them whenever the game glitched?

It's still my first reaction to a game refusing to play. Assuming it's not a disk.

Hitting the system was a hard habit to break. These newfangled electronics are so darned delicate. Can't even take a little love tap.

^^^^ HA YES. The dust would get on those... metal chip thingies. Most annoying thing ever, especially when you beat the boss and then the thing jammed.

We had a gameboy and a ps1.... the best things on earth until my bro got a nintendo. I think my favorites were donkey kong and megaman, and spiro, respectively. (Although the new spiro looks so dumb, I was crushed. :(

This is the funniest thread I've read on here for... awhile now
