Oh wow! My cousins both had Game Boys and thay used to get me to train their pokemon. I always wondered why thay wouldn't want to do it themselves, until I got my first pokemon game.
My brother used to beg to go to one of his friend's house to play the NES, since it was just so new and awesome.
We finally got a Sega Dreamcast in our teens. It was awesome.
