Everyone loves Monopoly!
And thanks to people in chat encouraging me in ideas that I really shouldn't follow, we're going to see if Monopoly works in a forum!
My Monopoly board has 8 tokens, so let's start by saying there are going to be 8 spaces available for this. If you really want to play after those have been filled, drop me a message and I'll take a decision about extending that.

We're also going to play by the rules As Cadi Remembers Them, because that's easier than trying to sift through all our different versions and pick the 'right ones'! So here we go:
Rules

-- Cadi will be the Site (the Bank in normal Monopoly) (in addition to being a Player).
-- Players take turns in the order of the Player List (because that's easiest).
-- To take a go, follow the instructions further down the post.
-- You get 200 points for passing Go.
-- If you land on a property nobody owns, you can buy it from the Site for the number of points written on it. See below for a list of properties.
-- If you land on a property owned by another Player, you pay them the number of points marked as their rent value in the Property List below.
-- If you land on Chance or Community chest, click here to get a random number between 1 and 13. Then 'pick' that card from the Card List below. So, if you land on Chance, and get 6, you get 50 points because that's what Chance #6 says!
-- If you get a card that says you've been banned, or if you land on the Banhammer, you must go straight to the Ban square.
-- To be unbanned, either (1) get a double on your roll, (2) use a ban reversal card, or (3) pay 50 points.
-- Nothing happens if you land on Chat!
-- We're not going to use houses and hotels, because I want to keep this relatively simple ><
-- You can sell property to other people at the start of your turn.
-- The winner is the last person to run out of points!

For colour properties, you pay double the stated rent if the person who owns it owns all of that colour group. So, if Cadi owns all of the green properties, and beckew lands on WRFF, beckew pays 20 points to Cadi instead of 10.

Cadi will post whole-game updates every so often, with every player's stuff-they-own list and which square they are on, so that we stand a better chance of keeping track of it all!
I'm expecting this to be very slow-paced - normal Monopoly is hardly speedy, and we're using a forum format - so expect to spend about five minutes on a turn every few days, at most. Hardly demanding, hey? You should join in!
