I speed through it, absolutely sure it's all right, before turning it in and bolting to the closest bathroom to double over in.

Nic

I slow in step when I hear that, in the parking lot of Yale. Turning around, I look at the building and wonder if I should tell Jace, "You should get her to a hospital, or at least to a doctor. That's not good at all."

Rayah

My vision shifting, I close my eyes and practically fall over, "Pretty butterflies..."

Jackie

I swallow, trying to keep her upright, "She won't move. She's hillucinating too. I don't know what got to her...the virus has been going around here for a while. Have you told Jace?"

Jace

I wash my mouth out and walk to my next class as the bell rings. Just three more finals. If I finish them all today, I can get a head start on the way to Rayah's for break.

Nic

I get in the car and start it up, sighing, "No. He wouldn't let me talk to him this morning. I woke up and he was doubled over. Rushed off before I could say anything. He's got finals all day today. I don't think it would have done him well if I did. He's gotta pass this semester, not that he has anything to worry about, and wouldn't be able to if he was thinking about how sick she is."

Rayah

I double over again, trembling, and Jackie lifts me, putting a Trashcan by my side before setting me on the bed. I close my eyes, having a migrane.

Jackie

I fake a deep breath, running a hand through my hair, "Alright. I'm worried though--"

She spazzes out and coughs up blood all over herself, and me.

I wipe my arm and make a face, "Jesus Christ...I'll call you later, okay?"

Jace

I make it to my next class and rush through my exam, my head pounding.

Nic

I pull into Boston University and nod, despite the fact that she can't see me, "Yeah, yeah. I've gotta go anyway. Keep me posted, alright? I'll tell Jae when I'm out. Love you."

Rayah

I roll on my stomach, burying my face in a pillow.

Jackie

I nod, "Love you," I hang up, hushing Rayah before laying beside her and reaching over for her water and making her drink a little.

Jace

I run a hand over my face, trying to snap back into focus, and look over my test. Bubbling in the final few answers, I stand and hand it in. As soon as I reach the door, I feel my knees weaken and shake. Swallowing, I take a deep breath and decide to wait for the bell in my dorm.

I hand up and rush into class, knowing I missed the first and would pay for it later.

Rayah

I cough up the water, moaning, "I want my Jae."

I shake my head, "He's not here, Ray."

Question: are Jackie and Rayah going to the college at Olympus or FSU?

Jace

I make it to my dorm and slide down the door, closing my eyes for a moment. Two more tests. Two more and I can go.

I slip into class and sit in the back, attempting to pay attention.

I shake my head, "My Jae...."

The bell rings and I groan, hesitating before standing and walking to my next class.

With a sigh, I sit through class and wait for the day to end.

Rayah

I fall asleep, murmering Jace's name.

I take a deep breath, running a hand through my hair.

Jace

I nearly pass out in the middle of my next exam, feeling like crap. Once I finish, I hand it in and stumble to the bathrooms.

I sigh and cancel my tutoring sessions for the whole day, pleading a family emergency.

Rayah

I throw up again, this time my heartbeat slowing, and open my eyes just a peak.

I swallow and shake my head, feeling her forehead before getting a wet washcloth and setting it over her forehead.

Jace

I double over again and wash my mouth out when finished, determined to get through my last exam only to remember that I actually have two more after that. Kill me now. Please.
