I study him, hesitating before feeling the scar on his forehead, "What happened?"

I take a deep breath, "An accident, or something. I honestly don't know."

I follow her, looking around again.

Rayah

I nod, sitting back on my heels, "When I was fifteen I got in an accent over by the ocean. My dad told me I was...close to dying, but, I was with someone and they saved my life by guarding me from the glass breaking. Though, he would never tell me who it was. Told me it'd confuse me beyond reason."

We get there and I set out towels down.

Jace

I furrow my brow, "Nic told me I was around that age too during my accident. When the doctors would visit me, they'd tell me how lucky the passenger of the car I was in was to have me..."

I spread out my towel and sigh, looking at the ocean.

I nod, "Oh. S'weird," I hesitate, "I fractured my arm and dislocated my ankle, so I was in the hospital for around three months. They wouldn't let me leave. They made me look at family pictures to get my memory back. I didn't remember a thing."

I study her, "Neither did I... Nic said I threw him out of my room more than once 'cause he'd freak me out, and he had me look over pictures of my mortal family, of his, and then of me and him."

I study him, "Wow..." I hesitate before pulling out my phone, wondering if I still had pictures from back when I was fourteen or fifteen on it.

I sit next to him and flash a smile.

I watch her, wondering what she's doing.

I flash a smile back and take her hand.

I find some pictures and study them, and a picture of me and a boy. He's carrying me, me kissing him in the sunset as he does, but I can't see his face. Just our outlines. I furrow my brow and look through more, not able to see his face in either of them. Mom...she deleted the ones with the full body pictures. She knew... I glance up at him, "Check your phone and look through old photos from that time."

I smile, sighing before looking up at the sky.

Jace

I study her before pulling out my phone and looking through the pictures until I get to that age.

I look over the ocean and sigh, hesitating before standing and wading in.

I watch him before looking through more.

I stop over one of me holding a girl, the shot frozen in a kiss before a sunset. Flashing a smile, I show it to her and sit back.
