I find Jace sitting in his cavern, a gun at his side. His head is buried in his arms and I wonder where the twins are. Swallowing, I sit beside him and try to move the gun when he stops me.
"I-I can't do it anyway," he whimpers, "I-I can't do it."
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I take Rayah's hand as I sit beside her, "It's just me, Ray. Don't freak out."
She yanks her hand away and moans, that hand going to her stomach, "It...It was Jace's..." she whimpers, eyes still closed, "The doctors told me that I would've known if it was the other guys sooner."
I nod slowly, "Okay. But...what happened?"
She swallows and reveals her neck, a light slit over it.
Rayah...

I wrap an arm around his shoulders and pull him to lean against me, using a sleeve to wipe his face, "Then why aren't you with her? You heard her say she was drunk, Jae, and that she--"
"Don't pull that f**king bullsh*t with me, Nic," he interrupts, his voice wavering, "You know damn well what I'm doing here."
I tighten my jaw and look away from him for a moment.
"It still could have been yours," I say.
"Or his," he snaps back.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
I don't say anything as I read Jackie's text, moving in front of Jace and making him look at me, "Jackie's at the hospital with your wife, alright? You want to know what the doctors said? The baby's yours. Get over your f**king self and deal with the fact that she made a mistake when she isn't recovering from attempting suicide. Now."
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
Rayah stops breathing and my face goes pale. Her breathing starts again and I let out a breath I didn't even think I was holding, not letting go of her hand.
you'll be fine.

I watch Rayah, hating seeing her like this. The little, tiny bump on my stomach tells me that the baby is fine...but when she opens her eyes, they aren't that dark emerald green that I'm used to seeing.

I swallow and Rayah stops breathing again...but this time it doesn't pick up. After around thirteen minutes, it picks up again. Confused, I sniffle and look down.

Jae, don't do this to me! I try again and end up in the twins room, scaring the sh*t out of the babysitter. A note lies on the door, seemingly invisible to the sitter. I read over it and shake my head, disappearing again.

Rayah winces, a hand moving to her stomach. I help her by making it grow, the bump growing bigger. She lets out another breath and I flash a smile before looking down at my own stomach.
