~I looked down on the guy from my hiding place on the shelf. He was acting all frantic and scared. I'm scaring this guys pants off! Oh this is great, I smiled. Glancing at his hand I became a little more serious. He has my book. I neeed it back. He stopped looking and looked up. Here goes nothing. . .

I jumped from the bookself, landing heavily but intact on the ground infront of him. He leaped back, surprised with a confussed look on his face. Taking advantage of his confusion I lept forward and grabbed the book. For a scary moment I could get it but then I was able to pull it out. I run full force out the door, mocking a salute as I leave and shout

"Thanks, Buddy!"

I turn down the hallway once it branches to the left, then make a right. It's dark but when you've been in a place for almost a year you tend to know the way. I ducked into what should be one of the cleaning supplies rooms. It's never locked, so I won't be locked in.

I sit down with a big thud gainst the wall, breathing heavily and covered in sweat. I can't believe I did that. After a while I smile. That was fun. Perhaps I should do that more often. . .

I hug my book to my chest. Atleast I hav e this back. I just hope non of the pages fell out. . .~

I opened the door and dashed out of the sauna, Ellie close behind. The creep didn't have time to react--we were out the door and into the steam room before he could even turn around.

Of course, with no power, there was no steam in the steam room. No, this was more like mist--steam was hot, but this stuff was freezing. I kept running, throwing off my robe as I went. I was heading for the lobby, and if the creep followed us, the robes would be a dead giveaway.

"Go, go!" I hissed, keeping my voice down so the jealous ex wouldn't hear. Ellie scrambled out into the lobby, and I followed, closing the door tightly behind me. If only there were something to prop against it--that would throw Mr. Creep through a loop.

Out in the lobby, a crowd of guests had gathered, surrounding a flustered Annie Marino. She had a bunch of flashlights in her arms, and was handing them out to the guests. "I apologize for the inconvenience!" she said, raising her voice so everyone could hear her. "It appears that the lightning strikes have damaged both our primary and backup generators. I'll send repair crews out as soon as the storm dies down."

"And when will that be?!" someone shouted.

"I don't know," Annie answered. "The last weather report we got included a tropical storm warning. I don't know if that's what we're experiencing, though."

Zander Foster

Viola looked back at Ferdinand and waved, though he was too deep into his book to see her. She looked back at me and sighed. "Is Zander Foster asking me out on a date?" she raised her eyebrows.

"Wha-What? No! It's just, you know. Just wanted to try out what you said. Teach me how to enjoy the midair." I say, my face flushing red.

"I'm just joking. Don't worry. Of course, I'll come. The thing is, even I don't know how to get there, but we'll find out, yes?"

"Yeah... Sure. So, I'll pick you up at 7 in the evening?" I ask hopefully.

"That would be great. Thanks." Viola said as she stepped into the elevator and waved. "I'll meet you there, then! Bye!"

"Wait! What's your room number?" I yelled as the doors began to close.

"304!" She shouted, giving me one last wave, dropping her books.

Poor dear...I wish I was in there, to gather her books for her- show her some country hospitality.

I popped my collar and started down the hallway, feeling good about myself- then I realized that, as the host of our-erm, not-date- I should be prepared. So I turned around and walked to the front desk.

The woman smiled warmly. "May I help you?"

"I-um-need-um-directions...to the midair."

"The midair?"

"Yeah- I mean, I'm not exactly sure what it is, but Viola told me that it was pretty cool, so we're, I mean, where is it?"

"Do you have a date?" The woman asked.

My face flushed red. "No- I mean- no. It's nothing personal...strictly business."

"Business? What sort?"

"We've got to discuss...philosophical matters...like Dr. Weiss...and...shut up! Just give me directions."

The woman laughed- a carefree laugh that reminded me of my mother- and gave me directions. I thanked her and sprinted back into the library, getting dirty looks from the librarian. I quickly found a Dr. Weiss book and check it out.

Ferdinand gave me dirty looks as I was leaving.

Hmm...All you had going for you was Dr. Weiss...and I'm about to have that. I thought smuggly. Then Viola will be-

The lights went out and thunder crashed outside, loudly.

I cursed and stumbled into my room.

"This is perfect! Ow! Just perfect! I finally get a date with a pretty girl and what happens? A storm comes through! No walk on the beach tonight!" I ranted, as I paced back and forth in my floor, tripping over my chair the first lap.

I flopped down on my bed angrily. "And now it's all ruined. I can't even read that Dr. Weiss book without electricity. There's nothing to do-"

I suddenly stopped, realizing that Viola had nothing to do either. I hurriedly grabbed my backpack and emptied it onto the bed, snatching the flash light I had brought- a big, cumbersome contraption that took a big, square battery. I flicked it on and shone it around my room- the Dr. Weiss book, two of each kind of pop in my fridge, and the few bags of candy I had brought (rather, Mom had packed for me) quickly found their ways into my backpack.

I quickly, though uncertainly, started out the door. I started towards the elevator, and, realizing that they wouldn't work without juice, went to the stairs. I was really nervous by the time I made it to room 304 and knocked on the door.

Viola timidly opened the door. "Yeah- oh, hi Creole. What are you doing here?"

My face was red, burning, and I knew it. "Well, erm, I thought that- well, I didn't know if this power outage freaked you out- and- well, I didn't know if you had anybody to...I mean...I brought pop and flash light."

She chuckled, but I wasn't sure if she was going to let me in or not.

I found my way out of the library and walked back to my room, feeling thoroughly disgruntled. That girl hadn't needed to scare me half to death--I was planning on returning the journal.

I walked down the corridor slowly, relying on the lightning flashes to see where I was going. About halfway to the stairs, I started counting off rooms--317, 316, 315--

Wait a minute--I was on the wrong floor. I sighed, and continued down the hallway.

At the end of the hall, I noticed a dim glow--a flashlight, coming from someone's doorway. As I walked past, I peeked inside. There was Zander, holding a flashlight and his backpack. Inside, Viola stood holding her book. She saw me, and gave me a tiny wave, but then turned her attention back to Zander. I clenched my jaw, thinking of our conversation again--

And then I smacked into a wall, and went tumbling down the staircase. The hotel whirled in a circle around me, and as I reached the bottom, a sharp pain went shooting down my neck.

I sat up slowly, my head aching, and scrambled to my feet, nearly falling over again. I stumbled over to a window, hoping I'd be able to see my reflection. My face looked fine, but that didn't explain the headache. I reached up and ran my fingers through my hair. For some reason, my head was wet...

As I stumbled away from the window, I looked down. My hands were covered in my own blood. I growled to myself as I walked into the lobby, hoping Annie Marino had a doctor hidden somewhere.

There was a crowd gathered in the lobby, and as I approached, the fake blonde--Jade--turned around. "Whoa," she said, her eyes looking straight at my bloodstained hands. "Dude. Who'd you kill, huh?"

What a bummer.

There was a damn storm outside! And I thought this day would be perfect, spending time out on the beach and all. But noooo. There just had to be a hacking storm.

I was staring out of the lobby windows at the pouring rain. It hit the ground hard, splattering the water against the building. The sky was gray, like stainless-steal-appliances-grey. Hitting an almost black hue. Horrid.

So the tennis racket in my hand had no purpose now. Wonderful.

How long does it take a guy to get a tennis racket and come downstairs to play? It's been like two hours. Where in God's name is Shane?!

Looking through the window, I gawked at the Tennis Court. It was a beauty, and someone, rather, two people were out there, dancing in the rain. Lucky them, they played before it. As I took a closer look to see who those crazy people were, I recognized the blonde hair of Shane Delowski.

"You've got to be kidding me," I hissed at myself.

He didn't even goddamn wait.

I stormed out of the lobby in search for some place to just chill. And it just hit me. let me find the library. So what the power is out, I have a flashlight so I could read.

I sit on the couch, with my journal beside me, and I've projected the picture to my laptop, so I can sit to sketch. I switch on the T.V. to check what was in that I ended up with a music channel - MTV. I shake my head to the beat, and start sketching. I decided to do the little hangings of light first.

Just then, the television made a huge sound of going off all of a sudden, and the lights went off. There was a large sound of the thunder booming outside. I close the curtain, annoyed. Oh, great! When I want to sketch, I don't get the chance. Why do circumstances prevent me from doing things I love? I walk across the room, not knowing to where I'm walking too, and come across the drawer. Opening to one of them, I feel through a candle and a matchstick. Lighting it, I place it on a candle holder, making some way for light to flow in.

I suddenly remember the evening that me and Zander had to spend. Bummer. He looked like he was really looking forward to it. And, so was I. It would be a great day to have fun and that I had already got two friends who seemed deeply engrossed by books just like me. Great. What a stupid day.

I hear a knock on the door, and I somehow manage to get the door due to the candle. I open it to see. Who must be it at this hour? Especially, when all the lights are out? I see Zander standing on the doorstep, and I smile. Am I glad to see him.

"Yeah- oh, hi Creole. What are you doing here?" I ask, grinning.

His face is like a tomato. I smile again because he looks cute that way. "Well, erm, I thought that- well, I didn't know if this power outage freaked you out- and- well, I didn't know if you had anybody to...I mean...I brought pop and flash light." he stammered.

I see Ferdinand passing by, and I give a little wave with a cheerful smile, and I concentrate back to Zander.

"Well, we have lots of this at our country, so it didn't really freak me out but thanks for coming." I chuckle, welcoming him inside.

He strolls in, looking around. He finds a flash coming from the room. "Your laptop?" he asks.

I nod, and he takes a look at my sketch under the flash. His eyes widen a little. I can see he looks impressed and I'm happy. I hear a crash somewhere downstairs and I turn to look. I realized I forgot to close the door. I look back at Zander who seems concerned.

"Maybe we should check what happened?" I ask, and Zander nods as he pops up with flashlight.

We make our way downstairs, and see Ferdinand on the first step on the stairs, with blood on his hand. He looks like he's hugely in pain. We run over to him, and help him up. We see a fake blonde turn, and stare at us, wide-eyed.

"Whoa." she exclaims, looking at Ferdinand's hands. "Dude. Who'd you kill, huh?"

"If you hadn't noticed, he's hurt." I shoot back. I mean, seriously.

"Like I don't have much sense to notice. You okay?" she asks, and walks towards us.

"We need to get a doctor." I declare. "Zander, could you please do us a favor? Go find Annie, and tell her to get a doctor. I'll come too. And you." I say, turning to the blonde haired girl. "Please stay here."

She shrugs and nods, and I follow Zander as we both set off to get Annie. Where the bloody hell was she?

LOL I totally didn't read things carefully enough. NEW POST. NEW NEW POST xD

Lynn Caradean

He was spinning me in circles, the rain falling down hard against my skin, making me shiver deliciously. The fact that I was dancing with a guy I had just met that day, in the rain, and laughing and talking and hoping that maybe, just maybe he'd kiss me, was beyond reasoning. I didn't fall for people. I was the kind of girl that would be forever alone, never to fall in love. And yet, on my first day here, I could already feel it. And I loved it. I'd only been spending an hour with him, yet I could feel myself being insanely happy. "Hey Lynn?" He whispered, as he pulled me just a bit closer and wrapped his arms tighter around my waist.
"Yes?" I said back, a little breathlessly.

We some how loose Jake and end up in the Lobby. A crowd of people form and I feel a bit claustrophobic. “Hey I am going to run to my room and get my computer.” I say to Jade.

“Cool I will stay here.” she say.

I nod and run to my room. I use my key card to open the door and walk inside. My bags were on my bed neatly arranged biggest to smallest. I have not been in my room once the whole time I have been here. I know I have only been here a few hours, but I still have not unpacked. I go over to my bed and unzip the bags.

It takes me around twenty minuted to unpack and get everything in order. I grab my computer bag and throw it over my shoulder. I hurry back into the lobby and find Jade. “You cannot you that the wifi is out.” she says

“I know that. I do a lot of research and writing. I told you I am kind of a nerd.” I say shrugging.

All of a sudden a guy came in with bloody hand and a bloody neck. “Who did you kill?” Jade asks.

Two other people I have not seen before are here and the female starts arguing with her. I roll my eyes and sit next to the injured guy. “You being hurt has sure caused a lot of commotion.” I say.

He tries to smile, but it does not really show. “It is just not my day.” he says.

“You need to stay calm. Try to lower you heart rate and only concentrate on that. Do not think about pain or the blood. Just make your heart beat slow down.” I say with a calming voice.

“What is that going to do?” Jade asks.

I get up and walk to her. “The less he thinks about how much pain he is in, the lower hid pulse will be. When you lose a lot of blood it increase. I do not want him to faint because he might have a concussion.” I say. I go back and sit next to him to make sure he does not fall asleep

I overheard the natural blonde talking about concussions, and tried to sit up. I was really dizzy, but I tried anyway, because she was probably right. She came back over and sat down next to me, probably to make sure I didn't pass out.

"I'll go find Annie," the fake blonde said. "She'll know where a doctor is." She ran off, up the grand staircase.

Suddenly, I noticed that my backpack wasn't on my shoulder. "Backpack," I muttered. I couldn't lose my backpack--it had my journal and all those library books in it. "Viola, where's my backpack?"

"Right here," Viola said, setting it down next to me. I looked over and inspected it--the front pocket was unzipped. I grabbed it and started digging through it, in search of my journal. If someone had taken my journal...

Viola Murtaugh

The fake blonde grabs my shoulder and shook her head. She told Zander and me to stop walking, as she looked at Ferdinand who seemed to try to sit up as a light blonde haired girl helped him sit up.

"I'll go find Annie. She'll know where the doctor is." she says.

Wasn't I supposed to do the same thing before you stopped me?

"Uh..." I stammer.

"I know where she is." she responds. "By the way, I'm Jade."

"Viola." I say and point to Zander beside me. "He's Zander."

Jade nods and light blonde haired girl walks up to us. She looks at us to what we should do, as blood was still running out of his head.

"Hi! I'm Ellie." she says.

I introduce myself and Zander here, as Jade goes off to go check with Annie. We scramble off to Ferdinand who seems to be looking for something. I pick up his backpack. After a few minutes, he comes up with a question.

"Viola, where's my backpack?" he asks.

"Right here." I say, setting it next to him and I look at Zander.

He fishes in his hand through it, but he couldn't find it. He looks really annoyed. The lights still haven't come up. Crap! We have to find someone to work through this. I ask Zander to pass me his flashlight and he does so, and I go through my bag.

Let's see. I have my journal, a few pens, my books, a picture of our family, some emergency makeup and first aid. Wait. Hold on. First Aid? My eyes widen. I've got a bunch of cotton and bandage. This could work!

"Ferdinand, hold still. I'm going to fix you up." I say, taking out my bandages and cotton.

"What're you doing?" Zander asks me generously.

"I always carry first aid. Zander, would you please pass me the cotton?" I request him.

He passes it to me, and I carefully rub the blood off the head. Zander is flashing the light over the wound. I swish the bandage over Ferdinand's head, doing the same 2-3 times so, it holds it tightly.

"Your wound isn't too deep but you may need 1 or 2 stitches. I've stopped the blood from flowing out. I think you'll be okay." I say.

"Thanks." he says.

Jade comes in with Annie and a doctor, who comes running over to Ferdinand. Ellie, Zander and me move away from him, as they examine him. I nod to Jade, who comes to walking to us.

"You think he'll be okay?" Jade asks.

"Yeah." I reply.

The lights come on, thankfully. Finally. An hour without electricity. Wow, that sucked.

Zander Foster

Viola hesitated a moment, waved at somebody passing by, and then look back at me. I glance behind me, it was Ferdinand- it annoyed me a bit that he was there, but, as I was talking to Viola-not him- I didn't get overly jealous.

"Well, we have lots of this at our country, so it didn't really freak me out but thanks for coming." She giggled, and motioned for me to go inside.

Yes! Yes, yes, yes!

I coolly stroll in and look around- there's a light coming from somewhere. "Your laptop?" I ask.

She nodded as I looked at her sketch under the flash.
Oh my gosh! This is amazing! My eyes had to be wide.

We heard a crash, and both turned towards the door-which Viola hadn't shut. I was a bit concerned- darkness+ a crash= not good.

"Maybe we should check what happened?" Viola asked.

I nodded and flicked my flash light back on.

I carefully walked in front of Viola, being sure that the path was safe, walking down the stairs- then we see Ferdinand lying on the first step, blood on his hands, a grimace on his face. I leapt down the remaining stairs and sprinted to his side. A fake blond turn, staring at us wide-eyed.

"Whoa." she exclaims, looking at Ferdinand's hands. "Dude. Who'd you kill, huh?"

"If you hadn't noticed, he's hurt." Viola said venomously.

"Like I don't have much sense to notice. You okay?" the blond said stupidly.

"We need to get a doctor." Viola stated firmly. "Zander, could you please do us a favor? Go find Annie, and tell her to get a doctor. I'll come too. And you." I say, turning to the blonde haired girl. "Please stay here."

I turned and quickly started down the hall, Viola quickly behind me. The blond is behind us in a moment. "I'll go find Annie. She'll know where a doctor is."

"Uh..." Viola said, seeming a bit annoyed.

"I know where she is." The blond said. "By the way, I'm Jade."

"Viola," Viola said, then she pointed at me. "He's Zander."

Jade sprinted off, and Viola and I hurried back to Ferdinand's side. The other girl walked up to us, looking at Ferdinand, who was still bleeding, and then back to us for direction. "Hi! I'm Ellie."

We went through introductions again, and then sat down by Ferdinand, who seemed to be looking for something. Viola picked up his backpack and looked at me uncertainly- the boy must've hit his head really hard. He didn't seem all there.

"Back pack. Viola, where's my back pack?" Ferdinand asked.

"Right here," she said soothingly, as she handed him his backpack, and looked at me.

The three of us stared at the backpack for a long moment, and then Viola asks for my flashlight- I give it to her and watch her go through her back pack. In a moment she grabs a first aid kit.

"Ferdinand, hold still. I'm going to fix you up." She said, as she tossed the cotton towards me.

"What're you doing?" I ask, as I pulled the cotton apart.

"I always carry first aid. Zander, would you please pass me the cotton?" Viola asked.

I quickly handed her a bit of cotton and watched as she carefully, gently wiped the blood from Ferdinand's head. I held the flash light over the wound- giving Viola all the light I could, as she put a bandage on the wound.

"Your wound isn't too deep but you may need 1 or 2 stitches. I've stopped the blood from flowing out. I think you'll be okay." Viola said comfortingly.

"Thanks." Ferdinand answered weakly.

Jade comes running back, dragging Annie behind her, a doctor following close behind her. The doctor runs to Ferdiand's side, and we all step aside. Viola nodded to Jade, who came walking over to us.
"You think he'll be okay?" Jade asks.

"Yeah." Viola said.

The lights flicker, and then there's a whir as they all power back on. Finally.

I look at Viola and grin nervously. "That's amazing. How did you know so much about first aid?"
