So through out the whole book, he's exposed to diffrent emotions in diffrent doses yah? ^u^ Keep in mind they might be to much to handle, k? ^u^

So, you know that one character I hate, yah? The one that drove Synn over the edge, yah? (Rick? is that his name? well, what ever -_-) He's the one who picks on Syn the most ^u^ (we learn later cause he spends so much time with Sarah and Rick has a thing for her ^^'' a nasty, twisted version of a crush XP)

Moving on. One day, two of Ricks gang members go overboard insulting Syn, Sarah and the other two. Like, way beyond the line to the point to where the other girl in the group starts crying. Sarah eventually threatens them out, but the damage is done and Syn watches as Sarah tries to comfort her and the other guy is pacing the room saying whathe would have done if they had stayed.

The next day the people on the base wake up to the image of the two boys beeaten up on the ground. Many people imedietly turn to Syn, claiming that he's finally turned on them. But he just looks confused (His confussed face is adorable ^u^) 'I didn't. . .I was alseep' Since he is basically incapable of lying, they eventually believe him.

Rick blames Sarah and the other two, since they're always protective of Syn so they had ample reason to go after his goons. They defend themselves, but now it's on everyones mind.

Sarah tells him off, saying it couldn't have been Syn or them. But then instead of leaving gracefully, he leaves insulting her and ends up hitting her across the face and threatens her. Syn is watching the whole thing in horror, unsure of what to do. (I mean, what do you do? ^^'')

After Rick leaves, Syn says 'Are...Are you ok?' (he's so unsure of what to do? /u\) and she turns to him and smiles saying 'It's ok ^^ It's not the first time I was hit. Don't worry, I'll be fine ^^' Syn stares at her for a moment then where Rick left the room.

The next morning Rick is lying on the ground unconsious in a small pool of blood, with two black eyes and three cracked ribs. A message above him written in red paint/blood says 'Just Try It Again'.

Acussations fly all towards the group and to settle the issue the doctor (don't know his name yet either ^^ he's friendly with the group ^^ he's one of the few that doesn't hate Syn ^^) agrees to doing an interigation the next day, using truth serum. Although the stuff works, it can have painful side effects and that's why they refrain from using it, but now it's the only thing that'll settle the crowd. Syn is there the whole time.

The people in charge agree that the three (Sarah and the other two) should be kept in a holding cell for the night, under constant gaurd. Syn actually tries to object to the whole thing, they couldn't have done anything wrong. The head guy (who hates Syn the most, second only to Rick) says 'oh, don't worry; you'll be under lockdown too.' Sarah says to Syn 'Don't worry Syn. We'll be fine, just get some sleep, ok?' Syn still has a worried expression. (So cute! ^u^)

That night, in the holding cell, Sarah and the others wake up to the sound of loud, deliberate footsteps from down the hall. They escape from the cell and chase in persuit. There is a small trail of red paint so they follow that. It leads to the lab. They open the door to see who it is.

They see a figure with his back to them. He swipes his hand swiftly but violently across one of the tables, all the glass chemicals and tools break and shatter on the floor. Turning on the lights, they see the figure has white hair. 'Oh no. . .' The figure turns to them. It's Syn.

Except, instead of his normal (Adorable! ^^) near expresionless expression this Syn wears and expression ecstasy. Of frenzied violence. (Think, when Gaara was a kid, when he's fighting lee and when we see the sand armour crack off for the first time ^u^ Except on Syn ^^) and they're like 'What the heck?! This can't be happening!' one of them says 'I don't believe it' and Syn laughes (like, evil laugh) 'Believe it' and this is creepy and scary cause he never talks so loud or so forcefully before (or with emotion at that ^^'').

And Sarah's like 'So you're the one who beat up the others? and Rick?' Syn laughs and turns his head to the side, as if reliving beating the crap out of them 'F*cking B*stards had it coming.' This is a whole new shock cause he's never cursed before.

'But, why?' He turns back to them, the ecstasy expression replaced with one of innocent confussion 'Be. . . Because they hurt you. They hurt us' he puts his hand on his chest and the other pointing to them. 'I don't like when we hurt'

He looks down at his stomach 'for a while now, I've felt this thing, this fire here,' he points to this stomach 'It hurt too, it felt like pain. The words, the fire; it all hurt.' he looked up in a 1000 yard stare, as if remembering something 'That one night, I was in the room (he's refering to the room with mirrors ^^) and they walked by. The fire burned hotter. I got up, to go see the doctor; I thought something was wrong with me. when I went out, they bumped into me, they started hitting me. The fire told me to hit back'

Syn looks up at them, smiling 'So I did. And it felt sooo good' He looked up, his eyes closed, his hands facing outwards a little bit 'I don't know why not everyone does it. It felt good for them to hurt. To hurt like I did. Like we all do.'

Syn looks back at Sarah, with a sad expresion 'Then he hit you.'

They're all shocked and Sarah is shaking her head 'No, no Syn this isn't right. This isn't the way to get back at them. It's really bad, ok? It's what bad people do.'

Syn just smiles 'But it felt so good.' Sarah says 'but it's wrong! When you are picked on or hit, it hurts, I know that. You want relief from the pain. But hitting someone else, although might give imediate pleasure and relief just makes you feel worse later. They right way is to talk to your friends. Together we make the pain go away. Please stop this, you'll regret it!'

Syn's expression turns to one of disaproval. 'If you aren't going to help me, then just leave. It. Makes. Me. Feel. Good.' Sarah shakes her head, an expression of sadness on her face 'I don't want to have to stop you, but I will if only to save you from yourself' At that time other people come in the room, brandishing weapons. The guards of their cell woke up an saw them missing. they're like 'Freeze, or we'll shoot'

They see Syn's frenzied look and shiver; it's scary even for grown men. 'Guess what the fire wants me to do now.' He runs and ducks behind one of those metals lab stations that have wheels. They start fireing, but Syn shoves the station at them and most go crashing down or are disoriented. They recover to see him coming at them and they get the crap kicked out of them.

Sarah and the others join the fray, trying to stop Syn and stop the others. Once most of the gaurds are out for the count, it's Syn vs. Sarah and the others. He's behind another lab station and shouts 'If you're not with me then you're against me!' And he starts fighting them too (for some reason Syn is kick*ss in a fight! ^u^) it goes on for a bit and it ends up with Syn about to punch Sarah across the face, but he stops right before he does. A bit of the real Syn is coming through, and he remembers the reason why he started all this. Now he's kicking the sh*t out her and the others.

His smile falters, he backs off Sarah. He looks around to the room, the real Syn coming too (You see, this violent Syn is kinda a seperate personality ^^ Later they refer to it as Black Syn (get it? ^u^) The real Syn has no idea what the black one has done when he comes out ^^'') he starts freaking out a bit, looking at what he did. What really pushes him over the edge is seeing Sarah. He puts his hands on his head and collapses to his knees, screaming.

When Sarah comes to he's not there. She gets up and runsto where she knows he'll be. When she gets to the mirror room she sees Syn in the corner, hugging his knees to his chest silently cring his eyes out, rocking back and forth slightly. She tries to go up to him but when she gets close, he scrambles away to another corner. She tries to go to him again, but he says without looking up 'How can you even bare to look at me? I. . .I hurt you. I hurt you.'

She smiles a bit and aproches him him again and this time he lets her. She kneels down with him and puts her arms around him and holds him. 'I. . .I'm so sorry.' he whispers.~


And that's his first run in with the emotion of Anger ^u^ (And regret for that matter ^^'') As I said before, this is the birth of Black Syn, and he only comes out once in a while. After this, Syn is still the Syn we all know and love, but he gets better with dealing with anger ^u^
