I nod, glad she understands, "I'm not sure how many other demigods are in town, to be honest. I've focused more on tasks given to me by my father than rounding up strays. There has been few attacks though, so I believe it's quite safe."

Char He sighs and wipes the tears off my face. I move away from him and grab a water bottle out of the refrigerator. “You should not care.” I say. He tries to say something, but I cut him off. “We need to start and finish this mission as soon as possible. Do you have any ideas of where you want to start?” I ask him.

I wake and gently slip out of Alex's arms. I go into Jake’s room, and find him awake and looking at the ceiling. “Hey Jake. Why didn't you wake us up?” I ask.

I study her, crossing my arms again as I think of a response to her question, "Scouting out the town. We need to be familiar with our surroundings. I'll drop by the police station and ask for any further information on sightings of the subjects. We'll go from there."
