Mount Olympus [2]

Rayah

He speeds ahead and I cough, moaning agian before letting out another scream. We get to the hospital and I close my eyes, feeling like I'm going to pass out.

Jackie

I look up at him before scooping Vanessa up and bringing her to a bench. When I do, I sit beside her and take my head in my hands, taking a deep breath as well.

Jace

She moans and screams again before we get to the hospital. I slam on the breaks and scoop her up again, rushing her inside and getting pushed aside and ripped from her by doctors and nurses.

Nic

She leaves and I compose myself, hesitating before following and sitting at her feet.

"You wanna take her to a hospital?" I ask, "Just to be sure."

Rayah

People rip me from Jace and my vision goes blurry as they bring me into a room.

Jackie

I nod and scoop her up, walking to the hospital. We get there and I push open the doors to see Jace sitting in the waiting room, I stop and look at him, "What are you doing here?"

Jace

I sit down, slightly shaking and anxious to be split from her in the moment I feel she needs me most. A few moments later, Jackie and Nic arrive. I look up at them, taking a few more moments than necessary to process Jackie's question.

"S-she went into labor," I say, dazed, "R-Rayah's having the twins... What are you two doing here?"

Nic comes and sits at my side, reeking of death and ash. I wait for one of them to answer, trying to compose myself.

Jackie

I hold up the girl in my arms, "My sis."

They take her to a room about thirty minutes later and I sit, waiting. A nurse comes out of a room and looks at Jace, "Are you Jace? You're kids are here," She smiles.

Rayah

Holy. Sh*t.

They let me take both my kids in one arm and I flash a small smile, still a little shaken up, and they wrap them in blue blankets. So cute.

Jace

I nod slowly and look down, hating not being close to Rayah right now. A nurse comes out of a room a while later and tells me my kids are here. I shakily stand and swallow, taking a step forward before my legs give out beneath me. Nic swears, chuckling a little, and catches me.

"God, Ja..." he shakes his head.

He helps me back to my feet and supports me.

"My kids..." I whisper.

"Yeah, Ja. We're gonna go see them now, okay?" he flashes a smile, "C'mon."

He walks with me to the room with Rayah in it before letting me go on my own. I trip over my own feet a few times before landing in the chair beside Rayah's bed. I flash a smile, seeing the bundles in her arms, and my world stops for a moment.

Rayah

I see Jace and flash a light smile, offering one to him, "Here's Lo," I whisper, glancing back down at Riley, "So precious."

Jace

I flash a smile and take Lo in my arms, unable to take my eyes off the two.

Nic

I catch a glimpse of the twins before smiling and heading back to Jackie. It's like he's drugged or something...

Rayah

I smile and sit up, Riley flashing a no-toothed baby smile and her eyes squinted like she's still asleep. A tear runs down my cheek and I couldn't help but hold her as close as I can, smiling even wider, "Welcome to the world," I whisper to them.

Jackie

Nic comes back and I smile, "Are we allowed in there? I want to see them," I stand.

Jace

I smile at Rayah and move to sit on the bed beside her, kissing her tears away and setting my head against hers as we look at our twins.

I smile and shrug, "i don't see why not. C'mon."

Rayah

I smile at him and look down at our children, kissing both their cheeks.

Jackie

I nod and take his hand as we walk into the room. I freeze when I see them, "Rayah..."

She looks up at me and flashes a smile, "You wanna hold Riley?"

I nod quickly, "Of course I do."

She nods and I walk over, taking her from her. So precious.

Jace

I smile at them and look up when Nic and Jackie walk in. Rayah hands Riley to Jackie and I swallow, looking at Nic. He flashes a smile and ruffles my hair.

"Don't worry," he tells me, "You can hold your own kid. I don't want to impose. I'll get a chance to hold them once your mental state improves."

I narrow my eyes at him and he smiles, shaking his head.

"Congrats, Ja," he finishes.

Rayah

Jackie starts crying and I look at her, "You alright?"

She wipes the rims of her eyes and flashes a smile, still looking at Riley, "Yeah. She's so pretty."

I chuckle, "How can a baby be pretty?"

She glances at me, "Cute, she's cute."

I shake my head at her and she hands Riley back to me, "Congrats."

I nod, smiling back, "Thanks."

Jace

Nic sighs and flashes a smile at Jackie, watching her. I keep looking at Logan, then looking up to glance at Riley and Rayah. My family...

Rayah

I keep smiling, Jackie smiling at me, "If you need anyone to babysit..." She starts, "I'll be happy to do it. I love kids."

I nod and look up at her, "Thanks. I bet we'll need that. Anyways..." I grin.

She studies me, "What?"

"Nothing," I smile.

I assume you'll be having a kid soon...right? I'm not stupid, I tell her via mind message.

She narrows her eyes at me before looking away, "Maybe," She replies aloud.
