Balthier

"Hey, is Jace still here?" I ask.

"Uhhh yea why?" He asks.

"I need to see him, its about his wedding." I said.

The next thing I knew I was walking into Jace's room following behind Nick as I do, when I see Jace he's almost dresed and was working on putting on a tie. I wait for him to take note I was here as I fold my arms waiting.

Jace

Nic walks back in, with another set of footsteps behind him, and I turn to face them.

"Oh, Balthier, right?" I ask, "Nic, I'm going to puke... Do this for me."

Nic shakes his head and fixes my tie for me, lightly slapping me across the face to snap me out of my nerves. My hands still shake slightly and I know there's no going back from that.

"He wants to talk to you," he tells me about Balthier, "So... Alyx and I are going back to my place to find our stuff to wear. Behave...and don't throw up. I don't have another suit in your size down there."

I roll my eyes at him and sit on my desk as the two head out. Once they're gone, I look back at Balthier.

"So...what is it you need to talk to me about?" I ask.

Balthier

"Its about your wedding, a few of my associeates down in the underworld have told me Hades is up to something. Given Rayah's histroy with the god, I got a feeling there's going to be a party crasher or two." I said.

Jace

I study the guy before sighing and glancing away, shaking my head, "Why can't we just be left alone? Everything..."

I shake my head again and look at him.

"Thanks for the warning," I say, "I owe you one."

Rayah

My sisters start bugging me about how there's only like thirty minutes until it starts and I sigh, standing, "C'mon then," I look at Jackie and she nods before opening the door for me and jumping in the drivers seat of the car.

"Beach, right?"

I nod, "Yeah, my mom's already got it set."

She nods again before pressing the gas and driving off.

Balthier

"Well Jace, your wedding's in thirty. I suggest we all get down to the beach." I said.

Jace

Oh sh*t. Thirty minutes.

I nod and walk out of my room in a daze, meeting my brothers downstairs.

Rayah

We get to the beach and I smile at the scenery, Jackie jumping out and fixing my hair again before leading me somewhere. Everyone's already in the seats and I swallow.

"You can do this," She says, setting a hand on my shoulder. "If you get nervous look at him. Block you're mind from anything but him. Focus on Jace."

I nod slowly, tensing, and she sighs, "Just relax. I promise it'll be okay. Stay here. I'm going to go find Jace and everyone." She says, walking back to the car and taking something out.

Balthier

I put the peddle to the medel and speed off with Jace and his brothers in the car, I make way for the beach a lovely day today was as I had about five minutes to get there.

"You sure you know how to drive?" I hear Nick.

"Of course, sort of." I said.

Soon I speed as I see the beach and the wedding ceromony, I make a last ditch effort to make it down there in time.

"Buckle up, this is going to be a bumby ride!" I yell.

And BOOM, I break though the guard railing and the car leaps into the air crash course for the beach. as the car smashes down, somehow still in tacted. I hit the break and stop just before the carpet, people were holind there breaths as I saw Rayah.

"Jace thats your cue." I said waiting for him to get out.

Jace

Oh...my...god.

I bust out of the car and resist the urge to kiss the ground. I rise, dusting myself off, and hurry to the alter, Nic and Alyx following.

"Sorry," Nic flashes a smile, "In a rush. All is well."

Rayah

Traumatized at what has just happened, I freeze, not blinking whatsoever. Jackie swallows and hesitates before standing and getting out of her seat, running over to me.

"You're alright," She assures, fixing my dress again before the music starts, "Remember, look at him."

I blink back into reality and swallow when my dad comes, offering his arm, "You ready?"

I look back at Jackie and she nods before sitting back down, taking a deep breath. I nod, "Yeah. I-I think so."

Balthier

I role down the window and get up and sit on the car door and place my hands on the roof of it, I smile as I wave to Rayah and then my mother as they both see me. I also see her sister which gives me a hand for and defense of this wedding, and at the beach was where I was most powerful. Hades me a fool at this point to attack us here.

Jace

I calm and flash a smile at Rayah, astounded by the way she looks today.

Sorry, blame Balthier's crazy driving, I tell her via mind message, anticipating the moment she starts walking towards me.

Rayah

I laugh a little at what he tells me and Grip my fathers arm. He glances down at me, sighing, and I just look at Jace like what Jackie told me to do.

Just...keep....walking...

I close my eyes for a second as I walk, swallowing before opening them again as I reach the alter.

Jace

I watch Rayah, flashing a smile when I find that she's just as nervous as I am. She meets me at the alter and I take her hands, nodding respectfully at her father. The person in charge of the ceremony clears their throat to begin.

"Dearly beloved...we are gathered here today to join these two in holy matrimony..."

I zone him out until the questions begin, knowing I could do everything she needs and be whatever she wants.

"Do you, Jace Carter, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

I nod, "I do."

He turns to Rayah and clears his throat again.

"Do you, Rayah Sparx, take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
