Jace

I sit at her side and drape a blanket over her, not sure what else to do but sit here. I hear the pounding of cold fists against the front door and close my eyes to calm down. My heart speeds rapidly in my chest and I can only imagine how this is affecting Rayah and the twins. God...the twins... Can't everyone just leave us alone?

Nic

I swing my sword and stay at Jackie's side, waiting for the undead to get close enough for me to take them down. A few more run forward and I slice those close enough, leaving a few for Jackie so she doesn't get pissed at me for taking all the fun. I need to get used to the fact she can handle all of this better than me anyway..

Rayah

The twins start kicking and I set my hand on my stomach, taking a deep breath before closing my eyes. Oh just please kill me... I hear the pounding and I start to feel traumatized again.

Jackie

I shoot a couple, one arrow going through two zombies, and freeze when I feel someone slice my cheek.

Jace

I watch Rayah close her eyes and take a deep breath, her hand on her stomach. Swallowing, I scoot closer and take her in my arms again, leaning her against me.

"S'okay," I whisper, "Nothing's gonna happen to us. We're gonna be fine. I promise."

Nic

I catch a glimpse of Jackie just as someone slices her cheek. Knocking down all those around me, I jump to that side and swipe my sword at their neck. Dismembered, the zombie falls to the ground and leaves me to turn around and examine Jackie's wound.

"You alright?" I ask.

Rayah

I swallow, nodding, and sigh, "I-I'm not feeling too good," I glanced down at my stomach again.

Jackie

I nod, flashing a smile, "It'll heal," I shoot someone behind him and it falls to the ground. I shoot another coming at us before lowering it.

Jace

I set a hand on her stomach and look up at her, "What do you mean? What's wrong?"

Nic

I nod, flashing a smile back, and get back to the task at hand.

Rayah

I freeze when I realize something, "It's happening, Jay. T-Their coming," I practically scream, closing my eyes, "Oh god this is not the right time for this to happen..."

Jackie

Once We've got down all the zombies in the area, I turn to Nic, "I'm going to see if Ray and Jace are alright. I have a feeling..." I think of how to word it, "Somethings happening."

Jace

I can't move, can't speak. F**ck no. Please, no. This is not the time for this. We had three more days. I swallow and compose myself, moving around to her front.

"Ray, look at me," I order in a soft tone, "You're absolutely sure?"

I nod and have a similar feeling, but I know Alyx should be there.

"I'll stick around," I tell her, "Just in case. You'll know where to find me if I'm needed."

Rayah

I nod quickly, opening my eyes, "Yes, Jay, I'm f*cking sure!" I yell, crying.

Jackie

I study him before I glance around to see a fire. Great. "Oh sh*t," I remember how my sister was at her friends house...and that was her house... Without another word I rush towards it, my heart beating fast in my chest.

Jace

I shrink back a little before swallowing and recomposing myself again. I take her face in my hands and wipe her tears.

"Deep breaths," I whisper, "Try and stay as calm as possible. I-I..."

Dammit. We need a freaking hospital.

Nic

She bolts towards a fire and I curse mentally, not even thinking about it before rushing after her. No. This is not happening today. I don't stop her, keeping at her back, but follow her in to help.

Rayah

I do as he says, "I-I need a hospital," I order, "NOW."

Jackie

I hesitate before making my way inside, searching everywhere for her. I get burned a couple times but push it to the side pushing away peices of wood as well. "Vanessa!" I cough, finding her. Sh*t.

I throw her over my shoulder, making my way out as the roof starts to collapse.

Jace

I run a hand over my face and tighten my jaw, standing and walking to the door. I push the dresser and bedframe away from it and head back to Rayah just as the undead begin walking in. Jamming a hand out, a gust of light energy shoves them backwards and buys us a few minutes.

"Then let's go," I scoop her up.

Nic

I follow her in, getting separated after a minute or so. I catch sight of her leaving just as the roof starts its descent. Swearing, I bolt out the door and somersault off the porch just as it does, finding Jackie and her sister perfectly fine.

Rayah

I scream again as Jace scoops me up, "H-Hurry," I beg, "I-It hurts."

Jackie

I run out with Vanessa as the house falls apart completely. I drop to the ground, her coming with me, and cough a couple times. Checking her pulse, I sit up and take a deep breath, relieved.

Jace

I bite my tongue, burying back my snark remarks and frustration, and quicken my pace. More of the undead crowd the streets and I swear, setting her in the first car I see and hotwiring it like Nic taught me.

Nic

I walk on my knees towards Jackie and her sister and take a deep breath, "You both okay?"

Rayah

He throws me in a car and I moan, crossing my arms over my stomach as he hotwires it and then starts driving.

Jackie

I nod, Vanessa uncontious, and plop back down in the grass, "Yeah. We're fine."

Jace

"Hold on, Ray," I glance back at her, "Like...seriously. Hold on."

I speed ahead and try my best to avoid any of the zombies, though a few end up hitting the front of the car and dashboard.

Oh what a wonderful day for birth.
