Jace

Alyx leaves, driving away, and I know I'll have to forgive him eventually. Just not now. I look at Rayah as she asks a question and shake my head.

"No, I-I need you," I say.

I smile and sit back with her, wrapping an arm around her, "Yeah."

Rayah

I nod and hold him close, "Okay. I'm here."

Jackie

I smile, cuddling against him, "Cool. How old do you want us to be when we have her?"

Jace

I lean into her and close my eyes, swallowing again.

I shrug and kiss her cheek, "Whenever you're ready for her, I guess."

Rayah

I watch him worriedly, kissing his cheek again, "You alright?"

Jackie

I nod again, cuddling into him, "Okay."

Just then, I hear the security alarm go off. I jump up, looking around just as someone takes me from behind, wrapping an arm around my mouth and a gun to my neck. I scream and he loads it, looking at Nic, "Where is it?!"

I try to get out of his grip and he squeezes me, leaving me to cough, "Don't tell me and she's dead!"

W-What...?!

Jace

I nod and look at her, "Let's just... I need to go somewhere to lie down. My head's spinning."

Nic

Uh...I would say "What the f**k?" but this situation is in better need of "What the hell is this idiot talking about?"

"...Dude, I have no clue what you're looking for," I state calmly, my eyes locked on Jackie's, "I don't live here. I'll be happy to help you look for it...just let the girl go."

Rayah

I nod and glance around, "Uh...We're kinda in the middle of no where."

Jackie

He starts to pull the trigger and I scream again, squeezing my eyes shut.

"You know what I'm talking about!"

No! He doesn't!

Jace

I flash a smile and look around as well, "You think we could walk to the beach? Or...find a bench somewhere?"

Nic

Hearing Jackie's screams again and noticing the man flex his trigger finger, I make my split decision and disintegrate. When I open my eyes, I'm in control of the b*stard. I let go of Jackie, gently, and back myself up. It isn't until I reach the door that something forces me out of the guy and onto the floor, a gunshot following.

Rayah

I nod again, seeing a bench, "There's one over there."

Jackie

Traumatized, I hear a gunshot go off, and Nic on the floor. The person walks towards me again and I swallow again, "No! Please don't!"

I back up, hitting the wall, and try to make my way around him and to Nic. He pins me to the wall and I scream. "N-Nic, help!"

He puts the gun to my chest this time and I close my eyes, tears running down my cheeks, P-Please help!

Jace

I nod and look back at her, "Help me over there?"

Nic

Jackie screams for me again, for help. I open my eyes to find my vision like that if I'd been drunk...except...I'm sober. I look up and find the guy pinning her against the wall, gun to her chest. Lifting one of my hands, I swipe it in the air, a beam of light following and knocking him to the side. I jerk it downwards and another beam hits him, matching that of an anvil against the back of his head. He falls lifeless to the floor, the gun clattering out of his hands.

"Jacks?" I call, dropping my hand and closing my eyes a minute.

My god... something tastes like blood...

Rayah

I smile and sling his arm around my shoulders, leading him over.

Jackie

He takes care of them and I swallow, running to Nic and dropping beside him. I take his head in my hands and set it in my lap, not sure what to do, "You'll be alright," I add pressure to the wound, "It's not that bad," I lied.

Jace

I flash a smile back at her and walk over with her help, my legs shaky. I sit on the bench and pat the spot next to me for her, not wanting her to get stuck on the dirty ground.

I take a deep breath and nod slowly, opening my eyes and looking up at her. One of my hands finds hers and death grips it, the memory flashing through me with the pain.

"I know," I find myself saying, "This isn't the first time this has happened."

Rayah

I flash a smile just as my phone rings, I pick it up, seeing it's Jackie. I swallow when I hear the news, "I need to go heal you're brother..." I whisper, hanging up, "He kinda got shot..."

Jackie

I flash a smile, glad he can still move, and grip his hand back, "Just relax. Rayah's coming. Hopefully her healing power works today."

Jace

I blink, expressionless, "Which one? Nic? What happened?"

I take a deep breath and nod again, closing my eyes, "I...Jace knows what to do if she can't. I blessed him with that knowledge a while back...unfortunately."

Rayah

I nod, "Nic. And I don't think what happened in what we should be focused in right now. C'mon," I start walking fast.

Jackie

I sigh, "Yeah..." I smile weakly, kidding his cheek, "You'll be fine."

Jace

I stand and weakly follow her, still feeling like sh*t.

I swallow and nod, hating the taste in my mouth, "Just stay with me through it all, alright? I don't want to be alone like this."
