I shake my head, "Nah. We can carry it," I grab the box in one hand and my journal and iPod in the other, "See?"

I study him, "Don't what?" I whisper.

Jace

I flash a smile and set the laptop on the top of the box, taking it from her hands, "Then let me carry the bulk. You've got four more days until two people come out of you. No heavy lifting."

I bury my face in her neck and try to calm down, the nightmare coming to an end as tears slowly make their way down my face in my sleep.

Rayah

I flash a smile but don't argue. Oh, Jay...Sometimes you can be... I shake my head at him and make my way downstairs, seeing another guy in the house, "Uh...Can I help you?"

Jackie

He starts crying and I wipe his tears, shaking him to wake up, "Nic, wake up," I whisper.

Jace

I follow her downstairs and tense at the sight of another guy, staying at Rayah's side.

Someone wipes my face and shakes me. My eyes open and I blink a few times, hugging Jackie tight when I recognize it as her.

Rayah

I watch the guy come closer, a gun at his hip, "What's you're name?"

I study him before replying, "Rayah."

"Well, Rayah..." He walks closer, "You have something we want."

He hugs me tight and I watch him, confused and hugging him back, "What were you dreaming about?"

Jace

I set the box down and step in front of Rayah protectively, not liking the sound of this at all.

"What do you want?" I ask.

I close my eyes and shake my head, quickly kissing her, "I-I don't want to remember it, Jacks. I don't want to remember."

Rayah

I take both of Jace's hands from behind and study the guy.

"I want more power. We want more power. The only way to do that is from demigod DNA. I want some of you're blood, Rayah. I've claimed you for our needs."

I swallow, What...? WHY?!

"And if you refuse..." He looks down at his gun.

I sigh, "I want to know Nic. You can tell me. You were saying my name in it. Please tell me."

Jace

I squeeze Rayah's hands, pulling her against me from behind.

"She's with twins," I inform the guy, eyes locked on his gun, "She can't lose any blood."

I look at her, setting a hand on the side of her face, and swallow, "There was a fire... Worse than the one the other day... It was at a house somewhere. You were with child and a little girl was playing around in the living room. I was...somewhere. I don't know. I don't know if I was home or not. Then the fire started and you and the little girl were trapped inside...I-I appeared and the roof began to collapse. You told me to take the little girl out first, so I did... When I came back, you were pinned down and more of the ceiling looked like it was going to fall..."

I pause and set my forehead against hers, closing my eyes.

"You told me to go," I whisper, "And the firemen arrived, dragging me out, so I couldn't refuse. I held the little girl and waited for you to come back out... You didn't. The house collapsed. I lost you."

Rayah

Nervousness takes over and he crosses his arms, "Again, If you refuse," He puts his hand on his gun, "Plus, I already claimed her."

I swallow, kissing him softly, "I'm here though," I remind him, "I'm perfectly fine."

I take a step back, pressing Rayah against me, and study him.

"I-I'm a demigod too...Why can't you just take from me?" I ask, "She can't handle it."

I loosen from her grip and take a step forward, looking back at the guy as I bring up my wrist.

I flash a smile back at her an kiss her back, closing my eyes as she does.

Rayah

He pulls away from me and I swallow, closing my eyes, and looking away.

I hear a slit and cringe at it, the man filling up a clear vile with his blood, "Thank you for you're buisness," he thanks before opening the door and walking out. I open one eye.

"Jay...You alright?"

I think about something as we kiss, Do I want a kid right now? Should I wait a couple years? Ugh...This is so confusing...

Jace

He slits my wrist and fills a vile, leaving in a hurry after thanking me. I place pressure on the wound and bite my lip, my stomach churning again. Rayah calls out to me and I glance back at her.

"S'okay, Ray," I tell her, "I just need a bandage or something."

I hold her close, pushing the dream from my head, and wonder what's she's thinking about when I notice how distracted she is.

Rayah

I nod, opening both my eyes and hurrying upstairs. I come back down with bandages and wrap it around his wrist, "You sure you're alright?"
