The Random Vampire Story [2]

Caiden

She would have protested if she had the chance. He was suddenly picking her up and carrying her to the bathroom. When he put her down she walked into Tristian's room and laid him down, "we'll give him a bath when he wakes up" she smiled at Colt.

Colt---

Colt nodded, "Now, bath or eat. I don't want you getting sick."

"You already have the bath up we'll do that." She smiled he nodded and lead her to the bathroom.

Caiden

Once she had washed her hair and the rest of her off the water had grown cold. And the smell of food coming from the kitchen was almost impossible to resist.

Wrapped in her robe she went into the kitchen to steal some of whatever Colt was cooking.

Colt---

Colt had thrown together a beef and veggie stew. The smell was making his own stomach growl, but he wasn't even going to try it before Caiden got in. She walked over and he smiled, "Feel better?" He laughed, she nodded. "Here, taste this, tell me what you think." He held a spoon full of the stew out. "It's a little hot." He warned.

Caiden

What she had felt in hunger before that hit her mouth was nothing compared to what happened after that bite.

"It's amazing," she said and went for a bowl. "I'm really hungry now."

She got her bowl out and Colt dished her up a huge pile, and there were two biscuts put on the side as well.

Colt--

Colt pulled her chair back for her as she set the food on the table. He went and got his bowl and biscuts and sat next to her. He didn't eat as fast as she did, he was to busy just watching her. He had missed being able to see her while she was gone. He was happy now that his whole family was back at the house and under his protection again.

"If we have another kid, your having it here." He laughed smiling up at her. "That way nothing can happen." He bit into a biscut and savored the flavor.

(I have an idea to make them vampires again)


Caiden

She laughed, "love, you know how much more could happen if we have it here? Something could actually go medically wrong."

Colt took another bite and swallowed before replying, "they said something medical had happened in the hosptial, and then you vanished."

Caiden tilted her head to the side, "what did they say happened?"

"Just that something had gone wrong and you were in really bad condition."

"Well I still feel fine, hungry, but fine." She practically swallowed the next busciut whole.

Colt---

Colt laughed, "Alright, you want me to get you more?" He asked motioning to her empty bowl. She nodded and he dished her up more food. He handed it to her as Tristian started crying again. "I'll get him." He smiled. He walked back to the baby room and picked Tristian up from his crib. He smiled. "Hey buddy, what ya cryin for?" Tristian made a lughing sound and Colt smiled. "You felt left out didn't you." He laughed walking back to the dining room table. He sat down bouncing Tristian in his lap.

Caiden

She smiled at the pair of them as she took another bite. "He looks just like you."

Colt twisted his head to look at Tristian "really?"

"Yes he does."

"I think he looks more like you."

"Well he probably is exactly like us both," she laughed.

Colt---

Colt laughed, "He's perfect, that is all I can tell you." He laughed. "Although, him waking up in the middle of the night screaming gets really old."

Caiden

Caiden laughed and took her son in her arms. "Well let's just hope he doesn't get too used to that." she said smiling down at the infant in her arms. "You're not gonna get too used to that are you?"

Colt----

Colt laughed, "I told him he would be grounded for the rest of his life if he did. Course he just laughed at that." Colt played with his son's little hand. "You'll grow out of it. Both of your parents like to sleep, you will too."

Caiden

Tristian yawned, "I have an idea," Caiden said smiling, "why don't we move the crib into our room for now? He won't have to cry as long."

Colt kissed her forehead, "I like it."

Colt---

Colt stood up, "I'll get it. YOu get reaquanted to your son." He smiled. He walked to the baby's room and moved the crib. He walked to the couch and sat down next to Caiden and Tristian. "I should've thought of that before." He smiled.

Caiden

She lifted the baby and nuzzled his nose, "hi Tristian," she said. "remember me?" The baby giggled, she kissed it's forehead, "I knew you did. Sorry I missed the last few days, I wanted to be here, really I did." she held him tighter, "oh I missed you my perfect little angle."
