"Why have they been following us, why are you here?" Colt demanded looking at Caiden. "What do you and them want from us?" He walked to Caiden taking Tristian from her and supporting her. He kept his glare on the man though.
I held onto Colts waist with one hand and carressed Tristian's face with the other. They needed to stay calm, but she was sure that wouldn't be an easy task.
"Well, you kinda killed a few of them." The guy laughed,
"They asked for it. It wasn't my fault, they came looking for trouble. I'm not going to let them tear our house to bits again. But they aren't going to harm my family."
Colt looked down at Caiden, he didn't want to endanger his family. Not with someone he didn't know.
"Why should we trust you?" He asked looking at the man. "Why should i put my families safety in your hands when I odn't know you and you tried to take our son."
Colt frowned, "Fine, I'm going to get some of Tristian's clothes." He said looking at Caiden. He helped her sit on the bed and then quicky threw together a bag of clothes for Tristian grabbing some for Caiden and him too. He didn't know how long they would be gone.
She knew she wasn't going to be that graceful on the way down the fire excape. She kept Tristian cradled to her chest and even removed her shoes to get rid of the clacking. Colt was always right there to help her keep her balence.
