Colt laughed, "Me too." He smiled kissing the top of her head. He sighed and closed his eyes. "This is perfect, well not the morning sickness for you, but think Caiden, we're going to be parents, we're going to be a real family."
Colt couldn't wait until the baby was big enough to feel it kick. "We still have to arrange a wedding date." He laughed kissing her cheek. "Do we want to wait for the baby or do it before the baby comes?"
She thought for a moment, "soon," she said, "[i]very soon/i]" She could barely wait to share his name, to be his for certantly forever. "I want to be yours, in every possible way as soon as possible."
His whole body tensed and he squeezed her a little tighter showing her he wanted it too.
Colt carried her to the couch and curled up with her turning the tv on and putting "Tom and Jerry" on. "Will this work?" He asked kissing the top of her head.
His arms twined around her waist and she leaned into him, she was in paradise.
(4 weeks later)
Caiden stepped into the bright pinkish purple room her husband had been painting for the last four days. The paint was still wet and she could smell it.
"What are you doing in here?" he scholded from atop the ladder.
"I-"
He was already down there wisking her out of the room, to set her on the table for the thousandth and twelth time in four weeks.
"I told you, don't come in there." He laughed kissing her. "Come in again and you'll completely ruin the surprise." He laughed, "Now let me get you some lunch, wrap you in a blanket on the couch, so I can work without worrying your going to come in again." He smiled. He whipped together a soup with lots of veggies and meat. The smell made his stomach growl.
"Joining me for lunch." She laughed, he walked back over to her and she rubbed some paint of his face.
"My stomach won't let me say no." He laughed kissing her.
"I had to cook for myself while I lived by myself. I hated food that didn't taste good so I learned to do it right." He smiled, "And I'll always be able to carry you." He kissed her neck and rested his hand on her stomach.
She laughed, "eventually you won't want to, that would be worse for me than walking."
She could feel him smile, "good point." He slurped down the rest of his soup and stood up. She didn't want him to and even tried to pull him back down. "The sooner I get this done the sooner you can see it okay?"
Reluctantly she let go and laid down on the couch. Intent on taking a nap. "You spoil me you know that?"
"No, I spoil myself. The happier you are the happier I am."
Colt kissed her eyelids and smiled. "Now sleep, love." He said in a loving commanding way. He walked to the baby's room and finished putting the last coat on. He set up fans to dry the walls. He quietly slipped out, locked the door, and slipped over to Brent's apartment. He used his key to get in, he had thought he heard Brent leave earlier. When he shut the door and turned around he was surprised to see Brent curled up on the couch with Adriana watching some show.
"The stuff you had sent here is in the guest room." Brent said kissing Adriana softly. Colt smiled and walked quietly to the guest room making sure everything he had ordered was there. THe baby crib, changing station, and more. He would order lettering to put the baby's name on the wall when they decided on a name. He slipped back out and looked at the couple then smiled, "Y'all make a cute couple." He laughed walking otu the door and heading towards his apartment.
