The Random Vampire Story [2]

Colt---

Colt laughed, "That's insane." He laughed. He yawned. "sleep is a good thing. WE wont get a lot of it." He sighed, he closed his eyes and if on que Tristian started crying. "You get some sleep, I'll get him this time." He said slowly getting up and picking Tristian up rocking him back and forth softly singing.

Caiden

Over the next few weeks the lullybuy that Colt would sing to Tristian also became hers. Every time he sang it she felt herself drifting away into sleep, only to dissappear into it when Colt returned.

She was in a blissful heaven.

Colt--

Colt couldn't believe how big Tristian was getting to be and how much closer he brought him and Caiden together. Tristian was starting to sleep the night through with only waking up a few times at night. The number was slowly disappating.

Caiden

"We're going to need to buy him new socks," Caiden said, "he keeps getting so big!"

"Maybe we should just buy socks that are a couple sizes too big this time," Colt suggested sticking his head out from the closet door where he was changing.

Colt---

"That wont work, they'll be falling off." She laughed as he stepped out and ran a hand through his hair.

"But we'll just have to get him that size later. There has to be a way to keep them on." He smiled.

Caiden

She laughed, "I don't think there is, is there?" She picked up Tristian "no there isn't, there's no way to keep your socks on is there? No no nope."

She blew a rasberry on his belly and he laughed.

Colt---

Colt laughed, "Alright alright. But let's get bags of the other sizes so we don't have to keep going back." He laughed. He tickled Caiden's stomach and kissed her neck.

Caiden

She playfully pushed Colt away, "not when the baby's right here! You're setting a rather poor example for your son," she said and kissed him.

"Oh like you're not?"

"I made sure he was facing away."

Colt---

Colt laughed, "Alright alright." He smiled, "But he'll have to get over it if he is always going to be watching when I want to love on my wife." He smiled.

Caiden

"WHen he's four you can start telling him to get over it okay?"

He smiled and took Tristian out of Caiden's arms, he sat him in his crib facing the other way. "Better?" Colt asked.

Caiden grinned, "yes."

He kissed her.

Colt---

Colt held her close. When they pulled apart he sighed. "I love you, Caiden." He smiled. Tristian started laughing and he turned around to see what he was laughing at. There was a man standing over his crib dangling one of Tristian's toys in front of him. "Who are you?" Colt demanded stepping towards the crib to grab Tristian.

Caiden

Her husband went for the crib or the man in front of it. Caiden didn't care which, she was going for the either. The man hovering above Tristian reached for him. She got there just in time that he did.

"Let go of my son or I swear on my grave that taking him will be the biggest mistake of your existance."

Colt---

Colt watched as Caiden and the man locked eyes. She was glaring at him. Colt took the chance to step forward and hit the guy hard in the nose throwing him back on the floor. Caiden snatched Tristian up holding him close.

"What do you think your doing in OUR house trying to take OUR son!" He demanded standing over the man.

Caiden

Tristian was crying now, she cradled him against her chest rocking back and forth cooing trying to calm him donw. "Colt, you're upsetting him," Caiden warned, "I'm going to take him to the kitchen."

"No don't!" the man shouted, "The werewolves are in there!"

HEr blood stilled within her veins.

Colt---

"Werewolves?" Colt demanded. "You brought werewolves into my house!" He kept his voice low so Tristian couldn't hear it. "How dare you bring werewolves into my house to where they can harm my family." HE hissed.
