Cara-

Cara liked walking next to him. She felt comfortable with him there. She scolded herself for the thought. She smiled as he started talking about his family.

"So Storm is related to you?" She asked, "He helped us find the town." She smiled,

"Yep," I nodded, "He's my cousin. His dad and my mom are brother and sister."

"But your mom's an Avian too isn't she?"

"Yep, she became that way just before my father proposed."

"How did she become one?"

"He turned her."

"Is that anything like when a vampire turns someone?"

I shrugged, "only a little, it changes your dna a tad, but only so you can work your wings, you're still human in every other way, he just gave her a feather."

"That's all?"

"And some words in elvish...did I mention that before he was turned my father was an elf?"
I just lost the game.

Cara-

Cara shook her head no. "I've meet a few elves, but that was a long time ago." She smiled, Fire growled, she followed his gaze and swallowed hard. It was the mage. "Um, I-I gotta go find something." She smiled and turned around quickly walking into a big group of people.

How did he find us?

He's a mage, Cara. Fire growled.

I stared back at where she had been looking a moment ago, a throughly ticked off looking person was over there. He ran up to me, "where did they go?" I could tell he was a mage.

I pointed towards the pretty much oppsite direction of where they went. He started off that way and I followed Cara. "What's going on?" I asked.

"N-nothing," she said. I caught her by the arm.

"You're afraid."

She nodded.

"I'll fly us back to my house, its safe there. Do you trust me?"
I just lost the game.

Cara-

Cara frowned, "Yes, but you don't understand, he wont stop just because I'm at someone's house." She glanced around. "He's followed me to six different towns now. I thought we had lost him." She glaced around again and swallowed hard.

"My house has at least 6 mages, granted two are in their 60s but they are there, trust me my family is well armed and experienced in dealing with troublesome mages." I looked down at Fire, "do you trust me?"

Fire-

Fire pushed into Christian's head.

If it gets her away from him yes, and why do you have such a strong barrier over your mind?

Cara-

"He's back." Cara breathed seeing the mage behind Christian, he was looking around. "Fire can't fly with us, he'll see him, but I can't leave Fire." Her heart was pounding, whatever made this mage follow her also made him mad enough to kill her, he had alreayd tried twice and almost suceeded.

"Fire do you remember the way back to my house?"

The wolf nodded. "Run!"

The wolf didn't move.

"You trust me, I'll keep her safe, now go!"

The wolf turned around and ran. I picked up Cara and started running out of sight. I made sure I was behind the mage before I put Cara down for a moment and chucked a rock at one of the shops, it caused the whole thing to collapse and everyone gathered around to look at it, even the mage. Turning back around I picked up Cara and flew off towards my house.
I just lost the game.

Cara-

Cara clung tightly to Christian's neck as they flew away. She didn't dare to look where she had last seen the mage. She closed her eyes tightly as they started landing. Fire was laying on the ground watching for them. When Christian landed he ran over and looked her over to make sure she was ok.

"I-I really shouldn't bring danger here, weather there are mages or not. I couldn't live with myself if someoen got hurt because of me." She said looking around.

OH god, she was perfect! I wanted to personally kill the mage now.

"Danger to my parents is nothing new," I promised. She looked like she was going to faint again. Putting an arm around her waist I dragged her inside and sat her down at the table.

"Wait right here," I said, "I'll go get my parents and then we'll help you."
I just lost the game.

Cara-

Cara frowned but she stayed put. Fire walked over and laid at her feet watching anything and everything that moved. She sat on the floor next to him and started rubbing his head.

I don't know if this is the smartest idea. Fire said laying his head on her lap.

What else am I supposed to do? I know I should really leave, but I don't want to Fire. I-I

Don't think it, I know what your gonna say. If you love him then you'll leave so that him and his family aren't put in danger. That is why your parents hide you in that hole. They were trying to protect you by abandoning you. That way teh people after them couldn't find you. He replied softly.

A-alright, let's go.

When I returned, Cara wasn't there. A wave of panic seized me. "She's gone"! I shouted and started out the back door. She had been running for too long. I wasn't about to let her keep running just to keep us safe. I flew over the neighborhood until I spotted her.

I landed on the ground not too far away and kept running.

When I caught up to her I gently grabbed her arm and made her stop, "where are you going?" I asked.

"A-away."

"You don't have any of your supplies and you won't be able to run from him forever."

"I can try."

"Cara, please," I pleaded, "let us help. We know what we're doing, trust me."
I just lost the game.

Cara-

Cara couldn't look him in the eye, not if she was going to stay strong on this matter. "But what if someone in your family gets hurt, or something like that. I couldn't do that to you." She turned to run again, but he didn't let go of her arm. "I'm sorry, I can't do that." She pulled free and started forward. Fire stood stalk still.

We need to get back, a storms coming and the mage is close. He said,

"Just until the storm passes them I'm leaving." She said looking at Christian.

I nodded and we started back towards my house, walking though, if the mage was coming he'd be watching the sky too. I was content with that, storms always lasted for days around here. We'd be able to convince her that we could help.

I didn't dare tell her about the storm thing though.

"Why is this mage after you anyways?" I asked, "it would help a lot."
I just lost the game.

Cara-

"You see, thats the thing. I'm not enterly sure. We were just walking through the woods like we always did when we heard people talking. Fire said we shouldn't have listened in, I should've listened, but I was bored. They were talking about some plan or something like that. When I snuck off I guess one of them heard me. He tried killing us, but we got away. he's been following us ever sense. I don't know why." She sighed,

Tell him what the plans were though. Fire said,

"They were talking about taking some tower over. Getting some mages out of the way, stuff like that. I don't know much about mages, I thought maybe it was some code or something." She sighed,

I went to confront noisy neighbours, only to find the windows dark, stuck with two notes. The ghost, too, had "gone fishing". Something still whistled.
