Jop

Where was Kira?

I struggled back to my feet from being attacked. "Kira," I said again through the communication line, this time weaker.

"Jop! I'm trying to hurry," she shouted.

Zaen

What? Twila and the new recruit hesitate before pulling me away. He stands in the middle of them. I don't want this, but know there's no disobeying him. He fades in the distance and I eventually turn away and stop struggling.

Trevor

Nephil sends his group away and I center in front of him, the others closing him in.

"He's mine," I say. "Tori, look after Mince. Stella, keep a close eye."

I turn back to Nephil, remembering a similar situation, and raise my sword. Offering surrender is the last thing on my mind. I curl my fingers and motion him forward, slipping in stance.

Kira Lowell

"I'm trying to hurry!" I say over communacation's.

I finally reach town after a two mile hike but still wasn;t enough I ran for Jop as fast as I could, I turn the block and see Jop. I pull my blade and shoot fire hitting the girl attacking him. I stab the boy in the leg and place my foot on him.

"You alright?" I ask him out of breath.

Jop

"You alright?" Kira asks me breathlessly. How could she ask me that. I was covered in blood, cuts, and gashes. I sighed, standing up.

"I guess so," I said with tears almost in my eyes.

Nephil

I was tired, in pain, and worst of all emotionally unstable. Trever calls off his people and prepares himself to face me, I met his challenge. If it was anything for Zaen I would at least stall them as long as I could. I ready myself, at the ready as trever charges inand swings knocking Masamune out of my hand, and lands not to far off from me sticking into the ground. Trever kicks my legs in as I'm to weak to fight, he has me at sword point and funny thing was I could only think of the time I had spent with Zaen. The month's I had trained her and watch her become stronger. At least she be able to get away.

Kira Lowell

"Come on let's get you over to the river and get you cleaned up, then we can use some of supplies we got from all those Hidden and Loyalists we beat." I told him.

Twila-
The new recruit and I pull Zaen away. I swallow, trying to stay strong for Zaen. I don't know what to say to Zaen, so I say nothing. I don't have much hope for Nephil. I look back and forth and fiddle with my hair so I won't think unwanted thoughts.
"What's your name again?" I ask the new recruit.
"Coryn," he says. He's tan and I've noticed he's clumsy. He's seems shy and quiet as well.

Trevor

When Nephil doesn't move, I swing forward and knock his blade out his hands. I kick his legs in and force him to the ground, my sword tipped at his throat. Hesitation sets in as I stare into his eyes. I kick him back, throwing his sword at him, well aware of the fool I'm making myself to be in front of my family.

"Stand up and fight!" I shout at him, the emotions trolling behind my eyes.

He still doesn't move. I draw within myself and take a step forward. Instead of a wave, a gust of wind is sent towards him, doing nothing at all. I freeze, my breath caught in my throat, and stare at him.

I swore I'd never use that again. It was supposed to have ended with him...

Nephil

"I'm far to weak Trever, I can't fight in a state like this. But as long as I allowed my apprentice and my other comrads and friends get away, then I care not for what happens to me." I said.

I begin to generate the energy around me into my body slowly mending my wounds, something I promise I never use again, I was using.

Trevor

I swallow and take a step back, glancing around at the others. My face flushes slightly, my thoughts racing as to guess what they think now. Wind and water...

Shaking my head at myself, I sheathe my sword and pick up his.

"Take him back to camp," I order my family. "No one is allowed to see him without my permission. Do not inform the Elders. Do not speak of it at all."

One last glance at him and I turn away, knowing the others could take care of him.

'A house divided, yet two sides stand'... Why couldn't he have stayed away like he said?

Victoria

Everything happens and I just stand there in shock. Mince saves me, I hit Nephil with one of my arrows flamed with fire.

I hit Nephil...

Something inside me cracks and I take a step back.

I. Am. Dead.

Trevor tells us to take him back to the camp and I swallow, stepping away again. "I don't think that's a very good idea..."

Nephil shoots me a look and I aim another arrow at him. He looks away and I lower it, still keeping aim, just in case. I form light in my hands and add it to thr point of the arrow. If he decided to make one more move, I wont hesitate to blast him into the forest.

Nephil

I see Mince get up and move in and retreive my blade from the ground, nearly doubling over and falling to the ground from Masamunes weight. Despite it's look Masamune is a heavy sword, and I was pretty strong to be able to use it with one hand. Another Loyalist ties my hands behind me and takes me what seems to be there base, I was placed in a holding cell. Who knows what Trever was planning. I finally see is that blind girl who can still somehow see and I can tell she wasn't a fan of me.

"Wind And Water?" Who are you exactly?" She asks.

"A former shadow, could you guess who's my twin?" I chuckle.

Kira Lowell

I took Jop over to the river to get him cleaned up, his wounds weren't as bad as they looked. After that was done, we walked back to camp. I got out some of the first aid and started to bandage his wounds, soon after we were back to our own thing.

Mince

Masamunes was heavy. What shocked me was that Nephil had used Water AND Wind. Could he be a former shadow? I sighed and sheathed Masamunes and slung it across my back, opposite of my katana. I smiled, I would "keep" it safe.

Jop

Kira helped me to a river and cleaned me up.

"Thanks for saving me. I didn't want to fight them," I said truthfully.

"It's okay," she told me as she finished.

Stella

I stayed by Nephil's cell as the others left to clean up the mess. It wasn't that he needed guarding--I was curious about Trevor's reaction, and since Trevor was probably too upset to talk to me, I thought I'd try talking to Nephil.

"Wind and water?" I asked him, alluding to what I'd seen during the battle. "Who are you, exactly?"

"A former Shadow," Nephil chuckled humorlessly. "Can you guess who's my twin?"

"No way," I gasped. So that was why Trevor always had trouble around Nephil!

I sat down on the ground next to Nephil's cell. "What happened?" I asked.

Victoria

I let out a sigh, realizing I had nothing to worry about, but still on guard. I slug my arrow back on my hip and walked to where his cell was, seeing Stella. I flashed a smile at her and walked over. "I'm proud of you. You did good in--" I saw Nephil and jerked backwards. "Uh...Hi?" I say protectively sitting beside Stella.

Nephil

"Get my brother over here so I can discuss me sticking around, cause there's no way this cell will hold me, I want see if I can eat with you guys." I told her.

"Tell me first." She replied.

I sighed knowing I wouldn't get no where with this girl unless I told her, it couldn't be that bad anways.

"Me and Trever are brother's we both trained under a swordsplay master that goes by Master Roku, I was chosen as his apprentice and this sparked Trever's hate for me. As I'm sure you could imagine come Branding, we were both marked as shadows and Voltages. We were quickly found by the Loyalists and the Hidden afterwords. And well as I'm sure you can remember a few months ago, Zaen and Tori had a fall out much like me and Trever. And even now as time goes on History repeats itself." I talked.

I couldn't make out much of what she was thinking due to her blank stare but I believe she now knows what me, Trever, Tori, and Zaen were all going though.
