A flow of electricity ran through my glasses as I turned my head around. “There’s a strong aura of power coming from the West. About 2.5 miles. I believe they are Shadows,” I said.

Kira nodded and went to go talk to Aaron.

I shouted to Kira that I was going to go on and go play and flew off.

My brother leaps off before I can even tell him to watch after Aaron, I take a deep breath and swear under my breath as I walk back to Aaron's tent. I move in under it and sit across from her, as she carves into a piece a wood I given her to mess with.

"So you're not going after all?" She asks quietly.

"Nope Jop leaped off to go have his fun as usual, I couldn't stop him before he was our of ear shot. So I'm sticking around to watch after you.

I flew in the air giggling as the air ruffled my hair. My glasses extended with a volt of electricity and became like goggles in the air. The town appeared within minutes and I landed on top of a building. Looking around, I looked for a perfect place for my pranks.

I flew to another building which was above the town square. Giggling, a bolt of lightning materilized in my left hand and a trident of water appeared in my right. I jumped from the building and landed in the middle of the town. Screaming echoed as I looked around.

"Come out you Shadows, Hidden, and Loyalists," I shouted. When nothing responded, I threw my trident at a building. The trident hit a building which turned into ice. Giggling, I threw the bolt at a car which exploded.

"Stop it!" a girl shouted.

Turning around, I saw a girl standing next to a boy.

A volt of electricity ran through my glasses as I opened communiction with my siblings.

"I found them, and their power is strong," I said.

I watched Trevor leave and frowned. What was wrong with him? He never gave up that easily. Was he getting soft? Sighing, I looked at the others. Stella and Tori were off training. The new recruit was trying to master his power. I sighed. Everyone had changed since Simon's death.

We all trained hard, and vowed to never forget Simon. No matter what Trevor or anyone else said, I was going to be the one to fight Nephil for Simon.

I stop when it starts raining, looking up, and my knees give out beneath me. Dropping to the muddy ground, I stare into my sword at my reflection. My face isn't what I see back.

Dropping the weapon, I look back up at the clouds and watch as the rain separates around me. Each one seems to whisper things to me, reminding me of things and helping me forget others.

What the hell am I doing out here?

I remember leaving so quickly and my face flushes a little, ashamed to have do that in front of them. Shaking my head, I stand and stop the rain, heading back. The sword at my hip is completely still, striking me with a sense of deja-vu.

I took the bow back from Tori and tried what she had just shown me, giving myself only a single second to shoot each arrow. I wasn't quite as accurate this time, but I was able to do it.

"Good," Tori said, nodding. "And don't worry about your aim too much. You'll get better as you practice more."

Then a fat raindrop landed on my head. I shielded my bow instinctively while Tori and I ran for cover. We found a tree with thick leaves and sat underneath it, waiting for the rain to stop. Tori looked up at the clouds, fidgeting in place. She was probably thinking about creating a fire umbrella for us, but that would probably use up more energy than she was willing to give.

"So..." I mumbled, trying to think of something to say. "What do you think is up with Trevor? I've never seen him walk away from a training fight before. Besides, he likes fighting Mince." I had my own theory, but I wanted to hear Tori's opinion first--she was closer to Trevor than I was, after all.

It starts raining and I curse under my breath, running for cover. Both me and Stella sit under a tree when she asks me,

"So..." She starts. "What do you think is up with Trevor? I've never seen him walk away from a training fight before. Besides, he likes fighting Mince."

I have to think about it for a minute before finding an answer. "Well..." I bit my lip. "He probrably just needed some time to think. He's been training hard with us and even a captain needs some rest, right? And anyways, if it's something else then I think it's best if we stay out of it." I nod, flashing a smile.

She studies me before nodding back. I sigh and wipe the water from my arms.

We arrive at the border, a storm brewing in the distance, and I know that Master senses it too. Loyalists.

I turn to him as Twila asks which way we're headed. Zoning out, I study the distance between us and the storm, wondering if Tori would be a part of this one. Could I fight her again? My fingers subconsciously reach over at the faded burn mark on my one arm, hoping I could see her while hoping she was nowhere close at the same time.

I knew the second I hit the wet muddy ground that this was going to be a long mission. Not only was it raining but I sensed Loyalists near by, I take a quick glance at Zaen, who had zoned out holding her hand on the faded burn mark she had from her sister. I knew she felt the pressence of the Loyalists to, at least it was one thing she gained, it was the ability to sense out enemy pressence.

"Well best start covering the distance cause I'm sure enough Loyalists are here, might as well find out if there behind all this." I said to Twila, Zaen, and the recruit.

We slushed on though the wet and muddy ground thinking if I wasn't on an important mission, I would think of sliding around in the mud. We moved though a heavily forested area and then came to a valley, it was battle scared there were signs of fighting all over it, this is it, I could sense the Loyalist extremely near but something yelled to me this made no sense.

The new recruit suggest a mud sliding episode, overeager and excited. I flash a smile at the idea and snap out of my thoughts, looking at Master for his reaction.

The rain doesn't stop. It's out of my control now. I walk back to the valley and find most of my group under the tree. Flashing a smile, I shake my head at them.

"Is a little rain really so bad?" I ask, joining them.

Twila-
The ground is wet and muddy from the rain. I slip out of my shoes and socks and walk through the woods, the ground muting my light steps.
The recruit slips in the mud, so I make the ground a bit firmer and more even under his footing until he gets used to the muddy terrain.
We emerge on what must be a battle scene. I really love valleys, with the ever-present Earth surrounding you on more sides than usual. They're so peaceful and tranquil and safe. At least for me. I can make valleys very dangerous for others.
"Maybe there was a mudslide?" the recruit suggests. I shake my head.
"This was a battle," I say, "the slope's not steep enough. Should we set up camp here and let them come to us, or move on until we stumble into them?"

I look at Trevor, "You know my power. I hate water." I sighed, trying to wipe the remaining water from my face. I dry my hair and cross my arms, glaring at him with a smile.

Then, just as Tori finished her sentence, Trevor walked out from the forest. I raised my eyebrows a bit and looked down at the ground. At least he hadn't heard us talking about him.

"Is a little rain really so bad?" he asked, chuckling.

"You know my power," Tori grumbled. "I hate water."

"Plus it scatters light everywhere," I complained. "Everything's blurry."

"Let's go in and maybe have a little fun sliding down why not?" I said.

I stepped out and slide down, Twila was right. Not steep enough to pick up any real speed, so I slide down and quickly look back and wave them down, as they did I looked to a tree that I see a few people sitting under and take only a step forward before realizing who they were. Loyalists, Zaen, Twila and the new recruit joined me at my side as they stand themselves. And without any real though my hand goes to my blade, I was ready for a fight.

"Zaen, ready you're sword." I tell her.

"Hidden!" I scream! I got confused looks.

"They broke through my infared flame barrier. They're coming!" I scream. Trevor's face hardened and started passing out orders.

"Nephil, I'm challenging you," I said, my voice echoing.

"Mince, no." I try and stop him, standing in front of him. "You have no clue what you're getting into. You're not doing it alone."

We slide down the hill, definitely more fun than I thought it would be, and discover the Loyalists. Master orders me to ready my sword and I do so as a familiar voice challenges him.
