Victoria

I look at him. "Leader? You just let that guy get smashed by a tree, you got knocked out and don't know how to treat yourself." I said, standing.

"I was just trying to help, Okay? Don't act like your all that. Because you aren't." I snap and bite my tongue. I shake my head and cross my arms over my hips, walking away and leaning against the tree.

Stella

Watching Trevor's face cool down under Tori's cloth had given me an idea. I didn't want to go straight to her, though, not after what Trevor had said.

"Hey, Trevor," I said, sitting down next to him. "Your head's a lot cooler now. ...Do you think Tori could do that for Mince's leg? If it swells too much, the bone fragments could start moving around and tearing things. I bet she could fit something inside his boot."

Nephil

I chuckle as Twila talks on, her hyperness never ceases to amaze me, I sit down against the wall just under a window, I place Masamune against my shoulder and cross my legs and fold my arms securing Masamune against me. Once Twila finishes specking I chuckle again and sign to Zaen.

"Forgive Twila, shes a very kind person but she sees the world though the eyes of a new born. But when push comes to shove she knows when to fight back." I sign, then I look over to Mark.

"Why don't you go look around and see if theres any good food a few houses down from here." I told him.

I look to Twila and Zaen.

"Why don't you two gt some sleep I'll keep watch." I said.

Trevor

What?

I stand and follow her, something foreign pulsing through my veins.

"Excuse me?" I pull her aside where no one else can hear. "Yes, I am the leader here and you need to realize that. Don't tell me how to do my job. They're my freaking family back there; I know just what happened and I damn sure know how to treat myself."

I calm and take a step back from her, drawing in a silent but needed breath.

"And I'm not acting like I'm all that." I add. "I'm acting like I have to."

Shaking my head at her, I sit back down and sigh. Stella sits beside me, getting my attention.

"Your head's a lot cooler now...Do you think Tori could do that for Mince's leg? If it swells too much, the bone fragments could start moving around and tearing things. I bet she could fit something inside his boot." She proposes.

I study her then nod, not seeing any harm in trying.

"He may not like the water so much though." I flash a smile.

Zaen

I follow Nephil and Twila back to camp, Nephil signing for me to forgive her for her actions. Smiling lightly, I sit across from him, not sure where else to go. He orders the boy off and tells us to get some sleep. After Twila lays down, I look back at him.

My sister was with them, wasn't she? I sign solemnly.

Nephil

My eyes grow soft as she signs about her sister, I sign back to her as she finishes. I'm hesitatent for a second but then start signing.

"I'm afraid so, I sensed a different pressence different from the loyalist's and different from you, I do believe shes close to joining then, if she does, I fear for my life if you to are to combine your's power's against me. I will never harm innocent's. So I will never draw my sword against you two." I sign slowly.

Mince

I was dozing on the tree branch, my arms and legs hanging limply. Flames danced around me. I moaned in my sleep as the boot tightened around my leg. "I won't...be..dead weight," I whispered in my sleep.

Victoria

Trevor was getting me pissed off. I watched his carefully, not wanting to do anything stupid. I realize I'm staring at him when fire cracks on his shirt and he catches on fire. I look away quickly, trying not to attract attention.

He looks at me, trying to put out the fire. "I know it was you!" He says, finally getting it out.

I don't look at him, too mad to. "It might have." I shrug. "Your the leader so you can Handle it, Right?" I snap, enthusiastically.

Before I knew it my anger took over my powers and a wildfire started by the trees. I sighed and let it go, knowing it would die out.

Mince

The flames that danced around me suddenly screamed in my head. (Don't ask why...) I jolted up just as branches cracked and fell from the trees and on top of me. I screamed as I fell to the ground underneath a pile of large limbs. There was another echoing crack as ANOTHER tree fell towards me...

Zaen

I nod and glance down, thinking.

I can't turn against my sister, I sign slowly, But I refuse to use my powers against the only other who's treated me this nice...

Trevor

Tori sets me on fire and I flip out, drenching myself with just one thought. Swearing, I glare at her.

"I know it was you!" I shout.

"It might have. You're the leader so you can handle it, right?" She snaps.

I tighten my jaw and take a step towards her when a wildfire starts. Mince falls from one of the trees and one of them falls on him. He cries out in pain and I take off towards him, bringing on the rain as I do. I extinguish the fire around him and heave the tree off of him, sitting him up.

"Mince?" I try to calm him down. "Buddy, stay with me."

I scoop him up and stand just as another tree cracks above us.

That phoenix is dead after this.

Victoria

I see everything that happens and swallow, running towards them. "I'm sorry! It was an accident!" I said, trying to help him.

"Just back off." He snaps at me. Before I knew it my mothers words repeated in my head.

Don't turn away when you know you've done something wrong...

I look at Trevor, "No. I'm not leaving him like this. It's my mistake." I told him, kneeling beside Mince.

"Its gonna be alright." I whispered. "Trevor, wet him." I say feeling Mince's pulse. "He's burning up."

Mince

I was floating in complete darkness. I must've been inside my sub-conscious. I could hear everything that happened around me, but couldn't respond. My body felt as if it were on fire...and it felt good.

To much fire will kill you Mince. Remember that my old friend Kio said before he died.

I have to get rid of this fire. Focusing, I summoned flames around me that spelt Back Up. When Trever and Pixie read it, they stepped back. The flames were sucked into me and I sighed. I focused all the flames inside me into a single ball. My eyes opened and fire exploded from me, causing no harm to everyone.

Trevor

Tori runs towards us just as I get us out of the line of fire (no pun intended).

"I'm sorry! It was just an accident!" She says.

"Just back off." I snap, setting Mince down and checking him for injury.

"No, I'm not leaving him like this. It's my mistake." She argues, dropping beside him. "Trevor, wet him. he's burning up."

I shake my head, knowing full well that Mince wouldn't like that, just as writing in fire above him. Back up. Swallowing, I pull Tori away. A huge ball of fire explodes from him just as he opens his eyes. I shield my eyes from the light, the worry mixing with adrenaline.

Victoria

I feel heat coming from Mince and Trevor pulls me back. Fire explodes from him and sends me about three steps backwards. I swallow, tears threatening to come.

"I'm so sorry, Mince. I-I was just mad." I said, turning away, all my powers downing.

Nephil

That's when it happen's I hear a scream for help, a scream so loud anyone could have heard it Twila, Zaen and me all bolted straight up knowing who it was. Mark was in trouble, we all ran where the stream came from, only to see a man standing over a hold his hand in the air. He has a grin on his face some badly dressed waiter outfit on and I hear Mark.

"Please don't! Please, please don't kill me." He pleads.

But the man makes a fist and the hole shuts and I hear a scream muffled by blood. Mark was dead, and now my anger boiling as the man smiles showing no remorse for what he has done, Mark was gone, never to come back or speck another world. And that cocky grin across his face I hated it, I hated it with a passion. That's when I draw my sword, not caring for the code at this point. My friend was dead and now I was going to kill this man and avenge Mark. The man's grin fell as he looks at my sword and knows he's trouble. I don't give him an inch and attack with blinding speed, my sword cutting into him like butter in my last slice he falls to the ground and I stand over him.

"Please do- don't kill me!" he cries out.

"Did you do the same for him?! Did you do the same for Mark?! The man you just killed?!" I yell at him.

"Nooo." he cries in a weak dying tone.

I raise my sword over my opposite shoulder ready to swing and cut the man's throat. Zaen grabs my arm and I turn to her in my rage but see the sadness and fear in her eyes, it pulls me out of my rage and I stop. My sword falls to the ground tear's running down my face, Mark was my friend, and now he was gone.

Mince

Without remembering about my leg, I stood up. Instantly, I cried out with pain and collapsed.

"Mince!" Trever shouted running to me.

"We have to go," I whispered.

"What do you mean?" he asked me.

"During the fight, I placed an non-harming flame on Nephil, and it lets me know where they are. One of them just got murdered. From Nephil's reaction, it was Mark. I believe they may either come after us, or Mark's killer will come for us," I said sighing.
