I bring back supplies and place them on the table in front of the couch, I told him to sit up and a ploped down next to him looking at the wound, I didn't have to look to know he was scowling at me. Probably still ranting on how I ruined his wing in his head. I bandged the wound up after cleaning it and then disinfecting it, which needless to say took a while. I got up off the couch and stood taking a few paces away.

"I suggest not shifting in dragon form anytime soon, you could risk further injury and possibly turn it into a scar." I said as I opened the glass slider onto the balcony.
An angel, a knight, a man who will bring light to where there is only darkness, I am the Morning Star, the Bringer of Light, hail to me as I am King Lucifer!

The Night Dragon

I rolled my eyes. "Perfect. Now how in the world am I going to get to my mountain hideout when I can't shift? I hate it when that happens." I check my watch. Sunrise was two hours away, my cue to bail while I still got time. I hitailed it out of the boy's place and took the back way into my apartment. I managed to change clothes in spite of the pain on my shoulder.

I poked my head through the door, looking around to see if I was followed. Just my luck, nobody followed me. I went to the library and started going through books at random. The weather was warm, so I had to down-size on my clothes to keep my cool temperature. After all, I still had the characteristics of a dragon and dragons were considered reptiles in the middle ages.

Frame me for what?

Carpenter-

My position wasn't one of the most strongest, especially with Alvah right in front of me. So I kicked back on the couch.

"Something to eat?" Alvah asked. "Turkish Delight? Something else? I am the host after all."

"Well I would ask you to go to Hell, but I already know you've been there and back," I quipped. "Maybe some Root Beer?"

My eyes caught a flash of gold from the hallway. Alvah moved to a private glass mini fridge. While his attention was partly split I glanced toward the slightly open door. Black Beauty... but her powers would be cut off. Everyone was a sinner somehow.

"Root Beer," he announced and tossed a can to me. Talk about dated. No one used aluminum anymore.

"Thanks," I answered and popped the opener. Remember the stories where you never take food from Hades or else you'll be stuck forever? I wouldn't put it past Mr. Tall, Dark Demon. About to take a sip I decided to change the subject.

"So Alvah, your supremacy?" I needed to keep him talking.

Just a note: Carpenter isn't going to digest anything Alvah puts infront of him.
"Oh please don't tell me you're archaeologists."

"Do you have a problem with archaeologists?"

"I'm a time traveler. I laugh at archaeologists."

That's fine. He's cautious. To be expected

I chuckled, and decided to mess with him a little more, just to show him the extent of my powers.
"You'll forgive my dated accommodations. I haven't been here since the nineteenth century. I assure you, I'll have this re-modeled"
I sat, facing him, and laced my fingers, leaning forward.
"You see, I intend, as all supervillains, to obtain supreme power. How or when I'll leave undisclosed"
I turned to a side.
"Oh, if you want to talk to Black Beauty, be my guest. Just remember, try to escape and you place yourself in my power. Attack me and you place yourself in my power. Cross me and you place yourself in my power. I'd like nothing more than to kill you, trust me"

I almost choke. I show myself and lean against the wall where he could see me. I glance at Carpenter and then back at Alvah. A small spark starts at my finger but nothing happens. I chuckle. "You know I can still control the weather..." I grinned, a thunderstorm starting. It dissapears suddenly.

Oh crap.

"Uh, never mind." I bite my lip. I shake my head at myself, looking down awkwardly. "Do you want a fight? Or...Do you just want to let him go?" I ask taking a step foward.

"Fight?" I did my best to sound amused. "Fight me, and I am authorised to fight back. Now, I'll give you some alone time with Carpenter. No ruining the furniture" I chuckled and left, heading to my study. I had master plans to orchestrate.

I watch him leave before turning to Carpenter.

"What the hell are you doing here?!?!" I ask yelling in a whisper.

Carpenter-

"What the hell are you doing here?!?!" Black Beauty shot at me in a harsh whisper.

"Me! What are you doing here? It was suicide coming here!"

"Oh and it wasn't for you?"

"I didn't come here. You took off to do who-knows-what and I was nabbed from behind."

"Well, Alvah said he had you trapped and I had to get you out."

"Yeah, some rescue," I muttered. Black Beauty growled and flopped down on a nearby chair. I sighed and looked over at her.

"I'm sorry. Tonight," I check to clock. "Today hasn't been the best of days. You forgive me, Partner?"

Black Beauty ran her fingers through her blonde hair. "Yeah. But what are we supposed to do now?"

"I'm still trying to work that part out."

"Well wasn't that just precious?" Alvah snarled from the door, the look on his face said our little back and forth was anything but. The one thing a creature of sin can't deal with... is forgiveness. I smirked.

"Wasn't that just precious," I snarled. If there was one thing I couldn't understand was the ability for these puny humans to forgive. Happiness and all that stuff. How useless. It only clogged the mind, prevented from thinking straight.
"Well, make yourselves comfortable. Soon you'll have a lot more to forgive for. The Night Dragon will be joining us soon"

I took the time to take in some sun, maintaining my tan. The day dragged on, boring me to death. Once I returned to my apartment, I checked my shoulder with a mirror. The wound was still there, but I still needed to stretch my wings every night. It's a part of my nightly ritual as the Night Dragon. I changed my clothes and waited for nightfall to come around.

The Night Dragon

I jumped from roof to roof, searching around to look for any sign of criminal activity. Bored of being around in human form, I shifted forms in spite of the pain on my shoulder. I checked my wing. It wasn't as badly clipped as I thought, so I took flight and prowled the sky with pride and dignity.

This might or might not be godmodding. Alvah can teleport, so yeah, it would be godmodding, in a sense. But he feeds on sin, so that's makes me him very powerful indeed.

Alvah

From atop a skyscraper, I saw the Night Dragon on the prowl. Moonlight shone off of his wings, and I noticed one was clipped. I also realized the guy had sinned badly in the past, and grasped an inkling of his power. He had to be mine.
"Hey," I called, as loudly as I could.
Immediately, the dragon brute turned to face me.
Who are you, it hissed in my mind.
"A benefactor," I replied, smoothly. I waved a hand, and his wing restored itself to its former health. "Those are quite a majestic pair of wings, I must say."

I looked at my wing. The wound was no longer there and the wing itself was back to its former glory. I managed to a building and shifted to human form in midair, landing on my feet and feeling no pain on my shoulder. Whoever the man was, he had some skill for healing. Flying was very sloppy with a clipped wing. "I know. There are some benefits of being a dragon. Being black as night and able to fly around unnoticed, it's some of the few things I take pride in." I took the bandage off my left shoulder. I didn't need it anymore. I raised a hidden eyebrow at the stranger. "What are you here for other than flattering me about my wings?"
