"I'm not in danger," I growled, struggling to my feet. "Taylor's in danger! And I think Ann has an accomplice!"

"Who could it be?" asked Sarah, trying to make sense of the whole situation. Kidnappers, accomplices, and now apparently Ann was the only person running this whole building. This was not a normal place.

Lucas

Lucas sat in his cozy room wondering what all the commotion was from downstairs... Being the lazy man he is, he sat down upon the couch so nicely set in the middle of the so called "living room," which also accompanied a queen sized bed and a rather large-sized flat screen.

He reached for the remote when he heard more yelling from downstairs -- "What is going on down there?!" He accidentally yelled, but yet he procrastinated from moving from his seat. "Lets see if there is anything good on TV," Lucas said as he turned on the television set.

Taylor
" Waht the heck is going on down there. Let's see.." Someone said from their room.
" What was that." said Taylor. She looked at Sarah in fear. " Ok we have to see. What if that was Toby." She walked over to door 19, but could not bring herself to knock. She looked at Sarah and she shook her head. " Fine. I will do it." Taylor lifted her hand and knocked on the door. And to her suprise, a guy opened the door. Who was he? Taylor thought teh only guy in this apartment now was Steven. She knew Toby was still here, but he was taken. " I don't think it is a good idea for you to be in your room." she said to the guy.

Ranger

An accomplice? Since when had this become about Ann? Taylor and Sunny left before I could ask them another question. Fine - there was someone else I needed to talk to.

I whirled around, storming out of the hall and into the lobby. Ann looked up at me placidly, which made me angry for some reason.

"What is going on here?" I demanded, slamming my hands against the desk. My longbow clattered on the smooth surface.

"I'm sorry?"

"In case you haven't noticed, one of your residents has been attacked, one of your residents has been kidnapped, and everyone is about to panic! How do you run this place by yourself, Ann? Why don't we ever see you working? I advise you explain to me what's going on before I call the police or handle this myself."

Ann just looked at me. "You may call the authorities if you wish. However, I do not think that what you've just said is wise." I blinked.

"Are you threatening me?" I asked.

"That's for you to decide. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do. Have a good day, Ranger." With that, she turned and calmly walked into a back room. I heard a lock turn behind her. Seething, I raised my bow, drew it all the way back, and fired an arrow into the door. Then it struck me. How did she know my name?

Suddenly I felt a lot more unsafe.

Sarah had not seen the guy that came to the door. He must have refrained from joining the madness all around him. Good for him, but what if he could help? Maybe he knew something, or someone? If he had not been involved, maybe the kidnapper didn't notice him and ran past!

Syca

Syca scowled. So that's how it is, huh? I hold just one party, one tiny little freak storm, and I get thrown out. Seriously?

However, she'd recently heard of a set of apartments that accepted anyone. She stood outside te YWS complex, with all her stuff. The place was a flurry if activity. She walked in, and watched in shock as a guy shot an arrow at a door.
"Hey, what did you do that for?? And what is going on with this place? And who the hell are you?" she asked all at once.
"Married to music - 'nuff said."

I'm a girl. XD I can understand how you'd get it confused, though.

Ranger

Oh, shoot! I whirled around, lowering my bow. Of all times to lose your temper, you choose the exact moment someone comes in!

"Okay, this looks bad." Very bad. "It's probably not what you think... You should really leave, though. Now. Although it might be too late. There's been an attack, and a kidnapping, and apparently no one is allowed to leave this place. How Ann - she runs this place - plans to enforce that I don't know, but I don't plan on finding out.

"I just tried to ask her what the heck is going on, and she refused to answer my questions, threatened me, and blew me off. She knew my name - and I'd be willing to bet she'll know yours by the end of the day, if she doesn't already know it." I took a deep breath. "I shouldn't have shot her door, though. I'm just - angry." I barely avoided saying 'afraid'. I really was shaken. "I'm Ranger, by the way," I added, trying to appear calm. "I'm going to get to the bottom of this. Who are you?"

Lucas

Lucas had enough with all of the noise coming downstairs. "Damnit!" He yelled, angrily, as he got up, turned off the television, and stormed out of his room leaving the door wide open. Lucas decided to take the stairs to the lobby, maybe needing some time to cool off.

Once he reached the final stair, he opened up the staircase door, only to see a crazed woman holding a crossbow. "Ummm..." Lucas said aloud, almost paralyzed with shock. He noticed the bow sticking out of the doorway behind the front desk. "Wow -- I, uh..." Lucas said as he began to take a few steps back... "How... I..." With that last statement, it seemed as if he had lost his mind.

Holy- this is getting annoying. Sorry, Ranger. So far, I've mistaken Lyricalias,
Pilot, Hei and a lot of other people's genders. If she wasn't my sister, I'd think Icy was a guy too. ^^'

Syca
"I'm Ranger, by the way. I'm going to get to the bottom of this. Who are you?" she asked. Syca was about to reply when a guy thundered down the stairs. However on catching sight of Ranger's longbow, he beat a hasty retreat.
Syca looked back to Ranger and replied "I'm Syca. And, since I've got nowhere to live right now, I think this place works fine. Can I help you? I love solving mysteries."

That's alright, Musica! It's happened before - my username isn't exactly feminine.

Ranger

"Sure," I said to Syca. "And it's okay," I added to the guy who was backing away. "I'm not going to hurt anybody... except kidnappers." He just watched me warily. I sighed. If I didn't get kidnapped or killed, I was going to have the cops called on me instead. I returned to Syca instead. "I think there are two beds in each room, although I haven't actually been to mine yet. Do you want to live in my place? I don't think it's a good idea to be alone here." Especially for me, I added silently.

After challenging the person who was likely behind at least part of this, it would be stupidity to assume I wasn't a target. I would probably need someone to at least watch my back. Besides, mystery lovers were usually good at their passion. I'd need someone like Syca if I was going to get to the bottom of this.

Sunny

When I realized that Taylor and Sarah were just looking for other people, I turned around and ran down to the lobby. Ranger and one of the guys were standing with a new girl, and there was an arrow sticking out of a door.

"Hey," I said, running up to Ranger. "Sorry for blowing you off there. Just kind of...had to get a grip, you know?"

"Yeah, it's fine," Ranger replied. "If you want to stay and help us out, feel free."

"Sure," I said. Maybe a little detective work would take my mind off how crazy this all was.

Lucas

"Kidnappers?" Lucas said, as he tilted his head slightly to the left, still a little frightened. "What do you mean?" He asked as he scratched the side of his head, confused.

Lucas no longer sensed danger, and the fear that had showered over him was dwindling now. He stood there, contemplating - Now what in the name of Jesus have I got myself into?

Taylor
Taylor saw everyone down stairs ans desided to ask for help. If they were going to try to figure this out, they needed to know everything. " Wait. I need help."
" What is it Taylor?" Ranger said.
" Those people did not want to take Toby. They wanted to take me. That note said I have to be in my room tonight to get taken were Toby is. I do not know what to do. I am terrified out of my mind right now. Please help me." Taylor was not going to cry. She had enough of that for one day. But when everyone just looked at her hopeless, a tear rolled down her face.

Syca

Syca watched as the girl - Taylor - began to cry. She touched the girl on her hand and smiled. "Well, I have an idea. It's quite simple really."
Turning to Ranger, she said, "I'll stay in the room next to yours then. What room are you in?"
Turning to the rest, she said,"If my plan is going to work, we all need to work together. Is everyone here in?"
"Married to music - 'nuff said."
