House of Night *Started*

If you haven't posted a profile yet, you need to do so. I want to start this tomorrow since we only have two spots left to fill.

I got a bit of an idea on how to start this.

Alright, I'm impatient lol. So we're still accepting, but we're officially starting.

Are you going to make a DT or can we chat though here?

You can chat through here. It makes it easier to keep up with rather than moving from place to place. (And I'm lazy )

So, how are we starting?

I think being the creator of this SB Angel should kick things off with being Zoey.

I guess we'll begin with her first day at the House of Night. Those of you who don't have your profiles posted need to get them posted as soon as you can.

Zoey

It was odd to be the new toy. Everyone watched me, and I do mean everyone. Fledglings and Vampyres both. They acted as if I was fragile, not really asking questions about how I got my tattoos like it was a secret. But they sure did stare at them. I felt uncomfortable, like I was under a microscope and I was their science project.

I was exempt from my first five classes today. Or maybe I should say tonight? Classes started at eight and end at three, leaving us an hour to socialize before we had to go to our dorms at four. Anyway, the entire first half of the night had passed by while I toured the House of Night. It was odd to call this home, but I got a feeling like it was right.

This is where you belong now, a voice in my head say. Ok, I'm not crazy, which is why it scared me half to death to realize the voice in my head wasn't my own conscience telling me I fit in. I knew the voice though. I'd heard it before and knew for sure who was telling me this was the right place for me now. Nyx.

I guess I was too focused on Nyx's voice that I hadn't realized my feet had brought me to the cafeteria--or Dining Hall, as Neferet had introduced it to me. The place was huge, but I supposed it had to be to fit all of the fledglings. It was beautiful, breathtaking. Honestly, I had never seen anything like this in my entire life.

Like I said, I was too distracted--too distracted to even realize that all of the conversation in the Dining Hall had died out and every eye was on me. And I was also too distracted to realize someone was in front of me until I ran smack into them.

Bed first post probably, but anyone can come in. I have to get off for a while, but I'll be back!

Just sayin', but I think DT's help the forum not get clogged up. Clogging means distracting from the actual writing, and we've got six pages of chat. Just my opinion....

Here's the Dark daughter's leader!

Name: Calypso Delos (If you're close to her, you can call her Cali. Her 'before' name was Alison, but you ain't dragging that out of her.)

Age: (16 to 19) 16

Year: Fifth former

Although it might not be evident at first glance (probably because of so much time out of the sun!) Calypso has strong Greek heritage. Her high cheek bones fit her light skin rather well, and her thick dark hair is pin straight. It goes past her shoulders. Her icey blue eyes and dark eyelashes seem to fit her perfectly. She's rather curvy, but mantains the normal teenage skinniness. Is about 5'6. Her clothes are mainly designer wear, and half-preppy, but her closet is miles wide- don't underestimate her clothing choice.


History: Calypso doesn't have a sob story like everyone else- when it comes to her Mom, anyway. With divorced parents, she was on her Mom's week when she was Marked. She was fourteen. Her Mom is extremely liberal and was actually excited about it- after she got over the fact that she wouldn't be seeing her baby very much anymore. Oh well. Cali's Mom hopped in the car to drag her to the House of Night, and on the way there, they gave Calypso's Dad a call. Her Dad's the opposite of her Mom- a politican who wants everything straight. He was fighting with Calypso the whole way to the House of Night, wondering why she had to go, before telling her to try and get Vampyre's on his slimy market.

Most of her friends she put up for sake of her uptight father snobbed her as soon as they found out. Her only good friend- a long-time childhood buddy by the name of Liana- cried her eyes out a visits Calypso every once in a while. Cali has no siblings.

Although she thought she would hate it at the House of Night, she quickly picked up a do-or-die attitude about things and was quickly picked up by Neferet.

Affinity: Super-Speed. Forsaken also approved Past and Future visions that she'll discover very quickly.

Up for Love?: Good luck, honey. Might take a little manuevering for anything that's not superficial, but it can happen.

Other: Was trained in Karate before getting Marked, and is now only better at it. Her Dad got her a cat for her last birthday, and it was fruitless to explain to him the whole Cats-choose-you thing. The cat HATED Calypso for awhile- did the whole peeing on her bed thing. Eventually, he came to love her, especially when she dumped the whole 'Prince Fluffy' thing and held up flashcards to let him choose his own name. He chose Eros.

Sunshine me and your character have some bad blood between each other thought it worth mentioning, and forsaken I'll post when I get more of a bearing on the story.

Pharaoh Draco | Dining Hall

I was listening to music from the Vampire Lestat when I sensed nervousness and uneasy tension. I had to pause the music to see who's emotions I was sensing. Neferet had a new fledgling among us. I smiled and murmured, "Fresh blood. Just the thing I need to relieve my boredom." I was about to stand up when I noticed the Mark on the new fledgling. It was full, like the ones I've seen on the adults around here. My smile vanished quick. "Lucky twit. I hope you know where you're going, little twit, because you wouldn't like it if you cross paths with Pharaoh. Make one bad move and I will show you I mean business." I finished my meal, then resumed listening to my MP3 player.

Mark Fireson | Dining Hall

I saw Pharaoh look up and saw the new fledgling. How did that fledgling get that Mark I thought to myself stabbing my steak with the fork in my hand. I glared at the fledgling and then noticed Neferet and looked down and continued eating.

~Neferet~

I could sense Zoey's unease as she walked through the doors into the mess hall. Her spine stiffened as she realized where she was and her eyes went wide. It was a little obvious that she was scared, though she had no reason to. Not one fledgling in the room could touch her without getting hurt. As Zoey's mentor, I wouldn't let anything happen to her, as long as she never found out about me or what changes were going to happen.

I knew for a fact that--at the moment--I was strong enough to take Zoey out. But as soon as she began learning her true powers, I would be no match for her. Yet. So I would keep my mothers charm on the girl until it was time and I was strengthened enough to be able to get her out of my way.

All the while I was thinking, I kept my cool smile on my face and the worry out of my eyes. I would not stress about a mere fledgling. I watched with curiosity as Zoey's gaze went around the silent room, taking in everything at once. The other fledglings were either in awe, or they wore jealous masks. This would be fun to watch.

Um, what of the Room mate situation? Master- got it!

~Calypso Delos~

You are my daughter, Calypso, but soon their will be one stronger. I have Marked her as my own, and you will help her along her path or be destroyed by the Elements themselves.

...Damn. This could be her, couldn't it? No normal fledgling had marks like that.

...Forget it. That's what I needed to do. I mean, seriously? It's not like I've had that dream every night. Maybe once. Okay, twice. Seven times? Maybe more...? How many times does Nyx have to rub it in by repeating that same dream in my head, over and over again? I get it. I may be the leader of the Dark Daughters, but there can still be a girl stronger than me. Isn't there always?

...Okay. She's probably it. Maybe I'll get her to join us- if she had Marks like those, there's no way she wouldn't get excepted. Besides, Neferet looks about ready to eat her up. She could go far. If I could just get her under my finger...

....Wow. Great Nyx, I sound power hungry. I just need to think, that's all. Thinking is good for you. Anyway, what could she do to me? She's just one girl. I smile to myself, confidence fully in control. No more relapses of 'before' attitude for this Goddess Favorite!

I tap my... well, I call her my 'sidekick' in my head. So, Adriane. "Hey, Addy? I'm gonna go meet Miss Stop-and-Stare, kay?"

She looks up at me, twirling a red curl. "Uh-huh. Give a Dark Daughter's welcome, honey!"

I dump my hardly eaten from plate in the trash, stepping in the percise spot where... WHAM! Stop-and-Stare bumps right into me.

"Omigosh, I'm so sorry!" The third former, who hadn't even done any damage to me, cried.

I smile sweetly. "No, totally my fault. So, your new here? I'm Calypso Delos."

Kelly Myers

My attention light up quickly as I saw the leader of the Dark Daughters approach the new blood. My anger lighting up quickly. I got up from my seat and got a quick look around and caught the eyes of Neferet, who seemed displeased with me. I looked away and began to walk and meet the new blood.

"Where you going Kelly?" My friend calls out.

"To meet the new blood." I said almost to quietly to hear.

Her eyes scanned around and saw who I was talking about her eyes grew wide as she saw who was with the new blood. She made no attempt to stop me. as I walked over I could see they were already talking I came in just as she was introducing herself.

"I'm Calypso Delos" She said.

"Don't even try Dark Daughter!" I call out.

She turned and saw me, her face cringed as if she couldn't believe who would come along and call her out like that. I got in between them and I circled the new blood. suspiciously.

"Whats your name new blood?" I ask.

Calypso backed up but soon got her old attitude back, the one I remember from last year. We locked eyes our obvious displeasure in each other showing.
