Drake-
I see Jesse walking with Micah and duck into a random corridor, not wanting her to yell at me for taking her money. I hadn't even realized this hallway was here. I walk down it, studying the paintings on the walls, calculating how much I'd ask for the on market-day. At the end of the hallway is a single door, which, after picking the lock, I find a staircase on the other side. A single window a few feet above my head is the only light. The steps creek under my feet. Really creepy. I walk a little farther and, through the slanting light, find another door with a peep hole. I see Mask-Girl standing in front of an army's worth of weapons. She presses a few buttons, which look like a three, a five, a seven, and I think a nine, and the weapons disappear, replaced by blank wall. She exists the room from the other door. I count to five, then walk into the room, noting the sparkly chandelier, the huge, curtained bed, the large stained-glass window you can see out of but not into. I press the numbers I thought were the password, and the thing starts beeping on me. I turn on my heels and step back into the secret stairway, closing the door behind me just as Mask-Girl enters from the other door. She looks around her room suspiciously. I measure my breath, smiling slightly as she looks under the bed and in the closet. Who does she think I am, the boogie-monster?

"I have feelings for you." Jesse says.

I'm caught of guard for a moment, my face slightly reddening. Awkward, I glance down and swallow, preparing myself for what's about to happen next.

"I think I do too." I glance up. "I mean...for you."

She flashes a surprised smile.

"But there's something you should know." I add in a whisper. "I... I have the same for Rutila too."

When he says that My smile fades, "Oh..." I couldn't think of what else to say. I shouldn't have told him. I shouldn't have. I looked away from him. "Um. Alright." I swallowed, my eyes watering. I REALLY shouldn't have told him.

I look around the room carefully but remember what my mask can do, it was feed all footage security I needed to see, that included the intruder.

"Show security servalenice of the intruder." I said to the mask.

And I see who was in here, Drake, the idoit had gotten into my room just as I left and tried to access my arsenal. He hid in the stiarwell I use for emergency evacuation's.

"Drake! Show yourself, I know your here and I know where your hiding." I said.

I waited a few minutes until he did, he had a scowl across his face knowing he was beaten easily.

I see how my words affect her and I curse under my breath, setting a hand underneath her chin.

"Jess... Don't...."

I couldn't find the words to say without making things worse. Swallowing, I move the hand to the side of her face.

"I like you too though, Jesse." I whisper. "Just... I'm in the middle of my own tug-a-war. I can't help it."

Drake-
"That's cheating," I say sulkily, coming out of the stairwell, "if you're not going to play hide-and-seek correctly, then you might as well not play at all." Mask-Girl gives me a look, not appreciating my humor.
"Yeah... bye," I say, and make a bolt for the door, almost running into the cook making his way down the hallway. I jump back into Mask-Girl's room and slam the door behind me. I have far too many enemies in this house.

I stood there for a minute only to have Drake return to my room and slam the door behind him, he looked out of breath for a short run. He sees me again, and knows he's in trouble.

"You know I absolutely don't care if its cheating, your the intruder in this room, and did you know if I'm not feeling merciful, I get to kill you for just being in here without my permission?" I said with folded arms looking at him.

A look of horror crosses his face in realization that I could kill him and not be in trouble for it. I walk up towards him and look him dead in the eye, waited a few seconds.

"Get." is all I said as he bolted from my room though the oppisite door that lead to the floyer.

Mask-Girl walks up to me, so close I can almost see the outline of her face through the mask. I have the urge to lean forward, pull off her mask, and kiss her.
"Get," she says, and I bolt, overwhelmed. I run into the meeting room and see Jesse sitting in the corner. Can't I get a break? She looks at me, startled, then her eyes harden.
"Good to see you," I say, "how's life?" I slump against a nearby wall, wishing there was a window I could jump out of to get out of my own skin.

I look at Drake, "How's life?" I repeat, chucking. "You wouldn't understand. I just half got rejected from a guy I like and I'm about to get killed out there." I said, tears falling from my eyes.

"You think that's bad? I watched my mom die, my dad fully rejected me, and when I die, noone will care; except Ivan, who'll be happy about it," I said bitterly, settling into a more comfortable position.

I look up at him, "Whatever." I take a knife from my boot and stand. I throw it into the wall, having it land right in between two windows. I pulled it out and looked at it, "Atleast you had a mother..." I sniffled.

I shake my head.
"I can't remember her," I say, "all I see when I try to think about her is the flames," I shudder, "and atleast the dude still would care if you died; maybe because it would affect his chances of winning, but at least he'd still be sad."

I shake my head, "He likes someone else too. So he wouldn't care..." I said crossing my arms. "I-I just don't know what to do." I said wiping my eyes.

"Naw," I say, "he'd still care. Mask-Girl will care, that'll definitely affect her strategy," I shrug, "maybe I'd care a bit." I stand up, "You seem nice... ish. Micah's a lucky guy to have you have a crush on him. It is Micah, right? Hope he changes his mind."
