Drake-
I start off and one of the weird-cat-things jumps out at me, hissing and spitting. It slashes its claws across my shoulder, leaving three long gashes, and I hiss in pain. The cat-thingy hisses back and moves to scratch at me, but I duck again. I start clacking my tongue, pretending its a normal, scraggly cat I see on the streets all the time. Its ears prick. I start scratching between the two middle of its four eyes, and it flops over on its belly, purring. I can't help but let out a laugh. These weird mutants aren't nothing but giant kitties. Giant kitties that just left a gash on my shoulder that's probably gonna bleed out.
I move on past the cats, feeling slightly light-headed, but I know I've got to keep my head straight. Another wall? No; there must be a trick.
I watch Micah climbing the wall, then see the spike jab out of the wall. Outch. I take a step back from the wall, choosing to study the wall instead of rush through it hot-headed. I'm getting better at this patience thing.
As I watch, I see sort of a pattern to the spikes; they kinda alternate between about six position. I watch the wall, making sure it sames the same, waiting like a little kid playing jump-rope for the perfect moment to jump in.
As one spike comes out, I grab onto it and pull myself over the wall, avoiding I spike about to snag my shoulder before it even comes out. I swing myself over the wall and jump down, then swear.
Fire. Again. I don't know if I can make it through this time.
