Drake-
I start off and one of the weird-cat-things jumps out at me, hissing and spitting. It slashes its claws across my shoulder, leaving three long gashes, and I hiss in pain. The cat-thingy hisses back and moves to scratch at me, but I duck again. I start clacking my tongue, pretending its a normal, scraggly cat I see on the streets all the time. Its ears prick. I start scratching between the two middle of its four eyes, and it flops over on its belly, purring. I can't help but let out a laugh. These weird mutants aren't nothing but giant kitties. Giant kitties that just left a gash on my shoulder that's probably gonna bleed out.
I move on past the cats, feeling slightly light-headed, but I know I've got to keep my head straight. Another wall? No; there must be a trick.
I watch Micah climbing the wall, then see the spike jab out of the wall. Outch. I take a step back from the wall, choosing to study the wall instead of rush through it hot-headed. I'm getting better at this patience thing.
As I watch, I see sort of a pattern to the spikes; they kinda alternate between about six position. I watch the wall, making sure it sames the same, waiting like a little kid playing jump-rope for the perfect moment to jump in.
As one spike comes out, I grab onto it and pull myself over the wall, avoiding I spike about to snag my shoulder before it even comes out. I swing myself over the wall and jump down, then swear.
Fire. Again. I don't know if I can make it through this time.

when I woke up, I couldn't remember where I was or what happened unfilled I feltbpain all over ky body. " the effect of the alcohol still hasn't warm off you. You should get some more.sleep" the little boy said. Now that I was looking at him closely he didn't look as little as I thought. He was around 12. My head was still pounding. My senses weren't at their usual. I felt so vulnerable."I can't stay here.I got to go back to th others." I told him.
Thinking back now I realised that the boys voice sounded like a voice I think I heard before." They left." He.said.
I jumped starigth up , off of the ground. I really wished I didn't because my headache worsened. I couldn't even stand straight. " where did they go?" I asked looking towards.the boy who also got up saying he would take me to the stadium if I wanted to did hat badly. Off course he tried to convince me.not to but I was stubborn. We head off and he shakes his head muttering." She talks more when she's drunk." I didnt know what he was talking about.
Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried? (29:2)

Octavius-

I woke to find my self in the dirt with a seering pain in my chest. It looked like most of the others were almost done.

I groaned as I sat up, the three claw marks burning fiercely. I stood up, and almost fell over, but Micah grabbed my shoulder.

I nodded a thanks. I was in such pain I didn't remember my hate for lower-classers.

I pulled my shirt off and ripped it, making bandages. I wrapped them around my wounds, and grimaced as the dirt on my shirt rubbed against the cut.

I leaned on a nearby pole, worried that I would pass out again. Everything was hazy, but I remained conscious, barely.

They blow the horn and I run at full speed, clashing any animal I see. I flip over one. I keep running and one of them clashes me across the face. I ignore it and keep running, my face burning. I reach the wall and one of the daggers that shot out of it, stuck me in the torso. I cringed but kept going, running to the finish line and collapsing, in heavy breath right as I get there, my whole shirt covered in blood.

Rutila "The Black Dagger" Nixion

As I saw Jesse cross in I saw blood all over her shirt, I ran over to her and motioned her down slowly.

Are you alright?" I asked in a concerned tone.

She nodded, I felt around her shirt for the damaged area thankful to find it was only a puncher wound.

"Listen, when we get back to the mansion your getting cleaned up and a new set of clothes got it?" I tell her and she nods.

I check Micah's injuries over, there was no telling how deep they were without cleaning up the wounds first.

"Same for you, get cleaned up once were back at the mansion, I'll bandage you both up once there." I said giving Micah a playful push.

Rutila glances over my injuries, my hand the worst.

"Same for you, get cleaned up once we're back at the mansion. I'll bandage you both up there." She says, giving me a playful push.

I flash a smile, looking at her, and wonder why she did that, if it was because of a certain feeling towards me. Like the one Jesse has... I look back at my hand, wrapping the sleeve I'd ripped off to try and stop the bleeding.

I can't go through. My head's cloudy from lack of blood and too many bad memories resurfacing at once. My hand traces the scar on my cheek as I pace back in forth, willing my self to just walk through the stupid fire pillars. But I can't. I should never have joined this awful game? Why did I join in the first place? Just to prove a point that we lower classers are worth something? But what if we aren't? What if we're the trash they think we are? My own father didn't even want me.
I've got to snap out of this. I rock on the balls of my feet like I used to do before I stole stuff. Now, it's just second nature. I don't have to prepare, which means I don't have to have time to be nervous about it. I wince as the movement jars my shoulder. I hope that fat cat didn't break any bones; I kinda need to be in one piece if I'm gonna win this thing. Glancing around, it looks like I'll be dead last. Again. Man, these game designers must have a grudge against me. I close my eyes, taking a deep breath; trying to get enough blood to my head to think straight. Why can't I remember my mother's face? Why now, when I try to think of her, I only see the awful flames; hear her piercing shrieks? Why couldn't I have done something? I could have tried to save her I could have done something, instead of just sitting there like a giant rock as everything I knew and loved burned before my eyes.
I open my eyes and take a step forward. This time, I'm going to act. This time, I'm going to make it through. For Ma.

Rutila comes over to me and my vision becomes blurry."Are you alright?" She asks, I nod not knowing whatelse to say and she starts feeling around my shirt, getting to the punctured area.

"Listen when we get back to the mansion your getting cleaned up and a new set of clothes. Got it?" I nodded again, still a little blurry by vision and she says the same thing to Micah. I stand up, feeling my torso for the wound and rip a peice of my sleeve off and wrapping it around my arm.

Raphael -

The doors opened to the obstacle course and I sprang out. I pulled a hidden knife from the holster on my leg. Dodging and slashing at the freaky cat creatures that stopped our proceeding. Some of the Gladiators were hurt, he had the urge to stop and help them. But He knew that If he was going to win, he needed to move quickly.

It's time to show these guys what makes Raphael the best...

I ducked an vaulted over different objects, life was a blur as I sped through the course. Animals tried to bite at me, but I was too fast. Within minutes I could see the finish.

I raced across the line, a gong sounded.

Did I win?

Ronaldo came out of the shadows,

"Congratulations Raphael. You've won the second round."

Yep, I won

The boy brought me to thestadium. i wasn't sure of the rules exactly. He gave me something in my hand. it was one of those straws that you put those poisonous needles in and shoot at someone, but in this case it would be something.
i didn't know what to say. so i just went right in with out thinking up a strategy first, like i normaly would.my vision was kind of blurry. it was really surprising when something pounced me. All i could see was a furry ball.I winced when i felt teetg sink in my leg. the weapon the boy gave me, was knocked out of my hands. i felt around looking for it woth one hand while struggling to get the other off. i could see some other fur balls coming closer to me. it seemed like it was over for me, but then i got hold of something. a needle. i took it and stabbed that thing and it imediately dropped dead. the others were coming closer. i didn't have time to search for other needles. i began to feel uneasy.
i tried to run away but its hard to run away when:
a) you're kind of drunk
b) when you have a HUGE cut in your leg. and
c) when your completely surrounded.

i finally found the straw weapon.it was too late to use it. but looking at it cloasly i noticed it was a whitsle. the whole time i thought it was for blowing out needles, or maybe it did both? i picked it up seeing as it was my end. and decided to blow it once for the boy as my way of thanks.
but when i blew it, no sund came out. i tried it again but still nothing. i could hear the firballs whining like dogs.they were squirmish at first, but then they stopped moving completely.i smiled at my luck. before i too fainted.

I walk through the fire pillars as fast as I can force myself to go with my shoulder bleeding out and my heart acting like it's trying to rush the blood from my body. I turn around, and see Ice faint. Fire shoots inches away from my foot. I sighed and walked back to Ice, pulling her to my feet as best as I could. She started, waking slightly, but not completely gaining consciousness. I was down for the count and she wasn't going to be any help. But I wasn't going to leave her back here. I started making my way forward, dragging her along. There was no time and no strength to be gentle. Still, I tried my best not to jar her more than what was needed.

Almost everyone finishes, only Cassie and Ivan missing. I stand, my ankle barely a thought in the back of my mind, and walk to the girls. Jesse's shirt is soaked in blood and she looks fatigued beyond reason, while Rutila is standing tall with no weakness to be found.

What's taking them so long? They were two of the fastest last round...

It doesn't make sense. Ivan wouldn't have a problem with the cat-things...unless he went back to save Cassie.

Yeah. Like that would happen.

I feel lightheaded and glance at my palm, the cloth over my wound drenched in red. Then everything is silent - the crowd, the beasts, everything... I look up, my stomach and heart twisting at the sight before me.

Rutila "The Black Dagger" Rida

The horrible sight of Cassie and Ivan slowly coming in though the finish line will forever be burned into my head. Cassie, who was now a bloodied mess was being brought in by Ivan. who had her blood all over him, and then his own wounds. I walked over and helped Ivan set Cassie down, she laid there barely responding. I checked her pulse, it was fading, I shock my head and to everyones horror, Cassie was dying.

"Jesse, hand me one the daggers I gave you." I said quietly.

She was reluctant at first but eventually gave it to me. She knew Cassie was dying.

"It'll all be over soon." I said in my sweetest voice.

I slit Cassies' throut as she whipered something that sounded like a thank you. I watched as the last bit of life drained from Cassie, I slowly stood and walked away, only five steps later I was back on one knee trying to contain my emotions.

She killed her...

Rutila drops to one knee, trying to remain composed, and I crouch beside her, my ankle protesting. I set a hand on her shoulder.

"You alright?" I whisper. "I mean...after doing that."

I crossed the finish line, still dragging Ice, and prop her against the wall so she'd be more comfortable. Turning around, I see Ivan and Cassie crossing. Cassie doesn't look like bloodied skin. She looks like skinned blood.
Rutila slits Cassie's throat. I turn around and throw up, head pounding. I have to get out of here. I have to leave. I run off, pounding my feet against the ground, defying Cassie's death with every step. I can't breathe, I can't speak. I can't even feel.

I just want to be the side character in a book that basically steals the whole series.
