Animal Shifters (Started! Accepting with Permission!)

I must have been more tired than I originally thought because I fell asleep right where I was sitting. Standing up and stretching, I wondered how long I been out. Staring at the clock on the wall, I figured that it must have been about an hour that I was asleep. Honestly, I was surprised that Gale had not come back yet, but at the same time was glad.

Suddenly, I heard a noise coming from somewhere outside the room. Curiosity got the better of me as I started to move toward the door. One of Gale's spider's thought I must have been trying to escape because it lurched at me. Quickly, I backed up a few steps. As soon as I took a couple steps back, it stopped. I glared at it from where it was sitting.

Without warning, a door opened and it wasn't mine. From the sound of it though it was fairly close. Only one word was spoken, "Hunter." That voice sent chills down my spine and I could feel my heard start to sink to the bottom of my stomach. It was Gale. I started to dig my nails into the palm of my hands, drawing blood.

God, if I could wish for anything, I would wish to be out of this place and next to the one person that makes me feel safest. Laiel.

ANNOUNCEMENT- Gale will be put out of commission: a new threat will be rising... soon. This is by no means godmodding, as it has been approved by thebookworm and y'all have a chance at survival. Maybe. Possibly.

Gale- Evil

"Hunter" I said. "How nice to see you again"
"What do you want?" she spat.
"To show you something" I said, and motioned for my spiders to come.
They did, bringing with them all the other Shifters, bound securely.
"Follow me" I snapped, harshly.
I walked forward, hurrying eagerly. They were here! I had to contain myself, though. I brought them to a clearing where all the trees had been removed and a makeshift runway had been created.
"What's this?" asked Adrian.
"A runway, idiot. To greet... them" I said, pointing.
a shape in the sky could be seen, and as it grew nearer, the deafening roar made it out to be a small plane, which rattled onto the runway and stopped, nose a few inches from Hunter, who gave a little scream and backed away- she could see the inside was dripping with spiders.
"Oh, so now spiders fly planes, do they?" asked Adrian, sarcastically.
"No, my parents do" I said, reveling in the shocked expressions of the others.
The door of the plane slid down, and out walked my parents. It had been so long!
My father was a extraordinarily tall man, though he walked with a hunch. His hair was lank, and he wore thick glasses. A large spider waited patiently on his hand.
"Son" he said, striding forward proudly. He hugged me, the spider crawling around to his back. "I have a present" he found the spider and showed it to me. "The leader of the redbacks, straight from Australia- they pledged their allegiance to you"
"Thanks, dad" I said. This was a shock to me- I knew my parents were genetics scientists who had worked with Blighton's own father in creating a different Shifter serum. I also knew Blighton's father had kicked them out and sent them to Australia, where they perfected the serum to mutate spiders. But that they actually brought me the leader of the redbacks....
My mother walked out.
She was a stately woman, elegant, making up for my father's crazed genius with a cold, practical mind.
"Honey" she said, and hugged me as well.
"Mom" I said, voice cracking despite myself.
"And who are these?" she asked, stepping back and surveying the Shifters.
"Traitors and enemies I captured. They stay here" I said.
"That's my boy" said my mother, ruffling my hair. I leered evilly at the other Shifters.
"I spotted something huge and dark in the water as we arrived" said my father, looking worried. He whispered in my ear, and I blanched.
"I-i-impossible!" I exclaimed "Their kind has never been seen in ages!"
"Calm down, honey" said my mother. "We know, which is why we're leaving. Come on"
We stepped back into the plane, engine already revving.
I couldn't resist one last taunt and test.
"See ya, suckers! The leviathan will deal with you! Spiders, kill the Shifters!"
I watched with grim satisfaction as the Shifters fought a desperate, hopelessly one-sided, battle.

And far off in the sea, a huge, snakelike shape moved with terrible intents to the coast.

Animal Shifters is now on hold. Please no more posting on the SB until we restart.

We'll start on Monday or Tuesday. You guys can make another charcater if you want. We have lost two already. Possibly a third and fourth will be lost also.

Who did we loose?

I think we lost Roger. Not really sure who else.

I'll reserve a spot for a gal I'll post a profile later tonight or tomorrow after school.

We lost Rayah and A.J. We might lose Calla and Roger.

Can I make a new character? A guy most likely? I'm typing on my phone b/c I won't get my laptop back until saturday so I'll post the profile then.

You can make a new character and post it on Saturday.

I won't be on Saturday or Sunday as the invite is this weekend.


Anybody can make a new character but include in your history where they met a Shifter. It doesn't matter which one.

I have Argo- I believe that's enough. Also, Roger still is there, somewhere- he might return. Gringoamericano wants comedy relief, hence the dude's presence.

Well, actually, you could do whatever you want with Roger. The attempts at humor seemed very out of place here, and I'm not used to writing about characters with a very manic personality.

I decided to just go with a slightly more serious character (or maybe he'll just have a more morbid sense of humor).
