YWS: Apollo Updates Thread

I have a question, will the nominations and review stars be returning?
If so then when will they be coming?

By the way, everything looks awesome! I can really see it coming together and it's all coming along quicker than I expected!

Dreaming- They'll be coming back (Everything will be coming back, guys!) BUT I'm not sure when. I'd assume it's be in coordination/sometime after profiles come back. Maybe after clubs, but timelines can be pretty flexible!

Nominations... maybe. It was a very broken system.

Review stars will be coming back though.

Literary works are almost done. Here's my list of stuff to do:

- Fix submission of poems
- Br breaker instead of P breaker in submission
- Include content ratings
- Remove span tags from copy and paste
- Remove font tags?
- Add 'None folder'
- Add short summary
- Enable privacy settings
- Create author admin area for works
- Like works & reviews
- Reply to reviews
- Sort reviews (default by newest, allow for by oldest)
- Reading list (may save for later)
- Attachments to literary works
- Image uploading
- Browse area
- Edit works
- Edit comments
- Delete works
- Delete comments
- Counting of reviews and points
- Subtract points for new works
- Poems vs. other works
- Stats page?

And that's it (maybe). It's actually not very much, and some of the above items will literally only take 1 minute to do. The biggest thing left is the 'Browse area,' which will probably require 4 hours of work.

In all actuality, I could probably release the new literary works area right now. It would be ugly, but all the basic functionality is now in place. So, the switch will probably be made on Monday if not before then, Almost there.

By the way, this is the page I'm using as my test for everything if people want to follow:

Feel free to review. Don't post any bug reports because chances are that I already know about it and posting the bug report would just annoy me! But right now, any post you make there won't affect anything, and everything will be deleted before the final switch.

Also, please no suggestions at this time. Wait until everything is done.

Thanks to everyone who left comments on the above work. I managed to find a lot of errors that I didn't know about, and fixed those up.

It's really almost done at this point.

HI Nate, Al here for some questions.

1.) Will we still have a Home page like before? The Home before was very astounding! Additionally, everything was on it, like the Leaderboards, Spotlights and posting updates. Will we still have that, or the Home will be the Forum list?

2.) Will the Wall come back?

3.) Will the popdown of our usernames contain more than Profile and Log Out?

Just asking! I checked the last update, by the way. Love the presentation: organized and well made!

I am so freakin' excited about this.

Just spent a ton of time working on the commenting system for literary works. You can now reply to comments, which is pretty cool. Also, you can like comments.

If you mess around with it, you'll no doubt run into a lot of bugs. But, have fun.
