I was sitting in a tree my earbuds in my ears and I was mouthing along with 'The Other Side' by Sirenia when Ashe came running to the tree. "Cat!" He shouted thinking I couldn't hear him. I glared at him and snapped "What?" "Go to Arthur's room." He said insistently. I cocked my head to the side and reached out to feel his emotions. Worry, urgency, and a bit of fear. I sighed and jumped down. "Go in through the window." Ashe added running again. I nodded then ran over to the tree that led to Arthur's room along with several of the others. I climbed up the tree grateful for my gymnastics training. I lightly swung my body through the open window and landed on my feet. "Arthur what's wrong?" I asked immediatly. "They want to put control collars on us." He replied shortly. I sank down pressing my back against the wall. "So in other words we're going to have to run." I said numbly pressing my hand against the coral pendant feeling it pulse slightly.

Azure

tap tap what the hell? I stood up, pulling my earbuds from my ears and went over to mine and Nila's bedroom window. It was that cute dude, Ashe. "What?" I snapped, opening the window.

Nila stood and joined me at the window, her earbuds also hanging around her neck.

"both of you, head towards Aurthur's room. Climb through the window. NOW"
Nila and I exchanged glances, then grabbed jackets at the same time, climbing out of our window.

We ran towards Authur's dorm, and climbed through his window, tumbling to the rug.
Arthur's eyes sprung open, and he untwisted from a weird yoga postion.
"Nila," he said, nodding at her, his cheeks red.
"Whats happening?" She gasped, out of breath from the run.

he explained about the collars, and we exchanged glances, both thinking no way is that thing going around MY neck.
"I've tried to contact my grandmother, she wants us to go to a certian grave yard, and she will have the Goddess protect us."
"Just us?" I asked
"No, you two, Ashe, Luna, David, Nyoka, Jake and I."
"How are we going to get to this graveyard?" Nila said, tossing her long strawberry blond hair over her shoulder.
"We'll steal a van." he shurgged, and as he opened his mouth to say more, Nyoka,David and Luna rolled into the room.

Nila
"So, you have ten minutes to pack a tiny bag of clothes and your personal items. Then meet by the gate. We'll have a van ready. Now go!"

Azure and I jumped up, and ran to the window, and pitched ourselves out first.
We ran towards our room, scarmbeled through the window, and grabbed random bags and began packing. once we had packed, we still had seven minutes. I braided my hair, and then watched Azure push a headband through her curly short hair.
"lets go," she said heading for the window.
"Okay."

We ran towards the gate, and met the others, who were all climbing into a van, and settling down. Arthur was sitting in the drivers seat. I waved to Azure, who was similing at Ashe and headed for the passenger seat.
"Mind if I sit here?" I asked, and without waiting for an answer, climbed in and sat my bag at my feet.
He didn't answer, just focused on me with intensity. I opened my bag, and pulled Nefertiti out.
"Nice Cat," he commented, looking down at Neffertiti.
"thanks."
"So..." he said, looking in the mirror towards the people in the back, Azure seemed to be flirting outragously.
"So..." I said, looking at him. his long red hair was shiny and beautiful, and his eyes were percing. I wanted to look at his memories, but I was afraid to. I had heard he could use water as a power.
"You can read them." he said, glancing at me.
"What?" I said, jumping back in my seat.
"You can read my memorys."
"Really?" I was excited. No one had ever let me willingly read their memories.
"Not to long though."
"Kay."

It was a blur of color for a while then I saw a cascat, crying. I pulled away from that memory, I could feel the pain stabbing through my heart.
Then there was a boy watching a girl with strawberry....
I pulled away. I couldn't read this. I knew who that girl was.

He smiled and looked back, everyone had setteled, and pulled the car into the driveway out of the instute. "ready?" he asked me, "yeah," I said breathlessly, rather disortiented.

*Redfang, if it would be alright with you, I already have Nila falling for Arthur, and you said that he had to get permission from his grandma. Would you make a point to check with her sometime? cause I have some really cool ideas with how they can fall for each other. *

Arthur Jameston

Nefertiti came up to Isis, naturally curious. I pried their minds a little, curious myself. It took them seconds to become friends. I pried Nila's mind, then blushed. She caught me in my fanstasy state. After a moment, I realized something. Nanna would not approve anyone to be my mate if she's not a witch. Mother had me anyway even though my father wasn't even close to a bon fide warlock. Nanna, if she was best at reading minds like me, would be furious.
Isis purred against me. I could sense Nanna working through her. I whispered, "Nanna, I know you're there. I have a question and for once in my life, I'm not taking no for an answer. I want Nila to be my better half, and if you say no I will run away the same way Mother did."
Nanna said, "You truly are your mother's son. It wasn't me who disproved your father, it was your grandfather. I know you want this chica to be your love, so you have my blessing to have her. Remember what I told you. The Goddess will protect you and your mystic brothers and sisters so you can reach me. I'll be waiting at your mother's grave."

Cataluna Zara
I bit my lip. "Goddess protect us." I said aloud. Everyone turned to me and I just shook my head. I looked down at the floor of the van. "Their not going to give up." I said out loud again. "We're among the strongest psychics in the United States. They are going to hunt us like animals with other psychics." I added looking up. I heard a few people catch their breath and quite a few others swear quietly. I bit my lip again drawing blood and ran my hands through my hair feeling a few of my hairs catch in my gloves.

Arthur Jameston

I heard Luna. I whispered, "Nanna, we need all the protection the Goddess can provide. Can you ask Her that?"
Nanna, using Isis as her vessal, nodded and said, "Remember. I'm waiting at your mother's grave."
I said loudly, "Hang on, my friends! I'm gonna put the petal to the metal!" I floored the accelarator and away we went. I lowered my voice and whispered, "Mother Goddess, protect us from the evil we are escaping. Give us your protection and grace as we go to reach Luna Topaz, your follower and my grandmother. Show us the way to Luna Topaz. Protect us from the evil that wants to control our will." My pendant grew warm as Isis curled herself against my leg. I wasn't wanting to give up, not until I was sure the others and I are out of danger. "Watch over us and Luna Topaz, Mother Goddess."

Nila
The grave yard was dark, and cluttered, there were piles of tents, mobile stoves, and other camping equpiment. I opended my door, and saw Arthur on the other side. He flourished his hand to me, and I took it and he helped me down, then grabbed my bag and walked away. I leaned against the van and sighed. What the hell was the matter with me? I had always scoffed at those who fell for someone at first sight. Now, I felt sure, I was falling. Azure walked over, and looked at me. "Your in love!" she said, jumping up and down. "Is it with Arthur?"
I nodded, at a loss for words.
"Thats so cute!" she jumped up and down, excited.

Funny, already, we were on our way to being best friends. I moved towards Arthur, who was talking to an old woman. Arthur reached out and took my hand. My heart started racing, I looked at him and he looked down at me.
"Ah. Is this Nila?" the woman said, looking me up and down.
"Mmhmm," said Arthur, sqeezing my hand and releasing it. On a impulse, I moved and grabbed his hand, gripping it with mine.
"This is Nanna," Arthur said, gesturing.
"Hello," Nanna and I said at the same time.

"Well Arthur, I'll check in with you later."
she disapeared with a sprinkle of gold and blue dust.

Arthur blushed. "Nila, I have a question.."
"yes?"
before he could ask, and I had a feeling I knew what he was going to ask, Ashe walked up and asked if we should put up the tents.
He had a pleading look on his face at first, but it quickly disapeared. "yeah."

he waved to me, and I followed.

Azure
Ashe was really hot. Falling for a loner was not at all like me, but I was drawn to the mystery of Ashe. his muscles were rippling, as he chopped wood for a fire.

I turned away and saw Nila and Arthur, standing talking to a woman. As I watched, Arthur reached for Nila's hand. How cute!
I went back to (trying) to asemble the tent in my hands. "here let me help," Ashe said, his arms circiling me and untying the knot.
"Thanks." I said breathlessly.
"No problem."

Jake


"Did anyone think to bring any food?" I asked loud enough for everyone to hear. "Umm no, sorry I guess I forgot about that." Arthur said directly to Nila."Its fine" she replied "None of us thought about it at the time".

"So let me get this straight. we're in a graveyard with no food or water. Whose great plan was this again?" I said as I help put up the other tent. I could hear a dog barking far off.

"So. how long before they know we're gone" The girl they called luna asked me.She looked like she was fighting back tear.

"I dont know not that long. A couple of hours at the most." I said looking up to the sky.

Cataluna Zara
I fought back tears as I considered what may lay ahead. Running alot of it, picking up strangers, sleeping in weird places. "Damn." I muttered aloud. "What?" Jake asked. I looked at him smiling slightly. "Think about what may lie ahead. Running for Goddess knows how long, stealing money and food all the while on the look out for psychics and the other poeple at the Institute." I said my voice desolute. "True but it's better then going back." Jake replied. "That's true." I said nodding.

Nila
"You wouldn't!" Nila giggled.
"I would," Arthur said.
"sacrfice yourself for your cat?"
"Yes.Would you?"
"maybe. I do love her."
Arthur continued setting up the tent, and Nila handed him the pole he was holding his hand for.
"Thanks."

He moved quickly, as if he had done this before.
"Ever been camping?" he said, looking closely at me.
"No.. Um.. my parents wouldn't have.. I just.." I fumbled, thinking of how abusive my parents had been.
"Did they hurt you?" he said, bending down and looking in my eyes. I nodded.
He put his hand on my shoulder and squeezed. "I'm sorry."
"It's fine."

*I'm feeliing better now so I should be able to post more regularly.*

Ashe Breaker:

"True but it's but it's better than going back." Ashe heard Luna's dismal comment.

Ashe snorted in agreement and glanced over at Azure. "Humans are so messed up, if I could shapeshift fully I'd have probably turned into a wolf and lived in the woods a long time ago."

Azure watched him with solemn hazel eyes. "Has your life really been that bad?" She asked him frankly.

Freezing for a moment Ashe stared at her. Strangely enough he didn't want to lie to this girl. "Yeah it's really been that bad. In my case the term torture isn't an exageration. This...." He swept his arm out to indicate the tents pitched among the gravestones. "This is just par for the course."

*So are Azure and Ashe going to end up a couple? I wouldn't mind.*

Arthur Jameston

"Arty, can I have a word?"
"Yes, Nanna." I followed her to Mother's grave and asked, "What's wrong, Nanna?"
Nanna answered, "The Goddess is calling me, sweetheart. I'm leaving this earth tonight."
I shivered and pleaded, "Nanna, you can't leave me like this. I haven't even finished my training. You're the only family besides my father I got left."
Nanna shook her head and said, "Whatever you do, you must never pursue your father. When he found out you were on the way, he tried to get rid of you. Every day, he tried to find you and murder you in your mother's house. That was why she came to your grandfather and me to raise you. I've asked the Goddess to keep you protected and every year since you were a month old, you showed your witch side." She coughed. "My time is coming, Arty. Tell Nila she has my blessing to marry you if she still loves you. Once I leave, take my pendant and wear it with your mother's." She kissed my forehead, for the last time in my life.

Nila
I watched, as Arthur and his Nanna stood talking. Arthur had tears in his eyes, and so did she. oh no,whats happening? I thouht franticaly. I watched as Nanna walked away and lay down beside Arthur's Mothers grave. He walked away, towards the cherry blossom groove. I dropped my tent and ran over to him.
"Whats the matter?" I said, reaching up to swipe away the tears on his cheeks. He caught my hand and kissed it, and said frankly, "Do you love me?"
I didn't have to hesitate. "Yes. Why? What happened?"
He crumpled and fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face. "Nanna... She dying." He gasped his hand clenched around mine.
"Oh Arthur, I'm so sorry..." I felt myself kneel beside him.
"Shes the only family I have left," he burst out, and continued to sob.
"You.. You have me." I said, looking in his eyes.
His eyebrows raised for a millasecond. "I do."
And then he was kissing her, and Iwas kissing him, and they had fallen on the soft grass and moss, our arms wrapped around each other.
To soon, he broke it, sobbing into my shoulder.
"Shh.. baby, don't cry. please. She wouldn't want you to."
A few minutes later, he sat up, his eyes red and puffy. "I'm fine.." he said. Helping me up.
"I love you," he whispered in my ear, then walked away....

Azure
"OH MY GOD!" I screamed as Nila wandered up to me,
"What?" she said nochalantly,
"Did you guys just kiss ??"
"you don't have to say it like its a bad word..."
"I can't believe it! Its so cute.. Why was Arthur crying?"
"His Grandmother is dying..."
"Oh," Some of my steam disapeared after hearing that, and I turned to Ashe. "Arthur's grammy is dying."
"Wow." said Ashe, even though I knew he had heard me.
"The poor thing has nobody left." Nila said, tears swiming in her eyes, watching him as he resolotly picked up the tent she had dropped.
"I know what we should do to cheer him up..." I said, my eyes glitting.
"What?" Ashe said, staring closely at me.
"Well, he loves pranks right? Well, why don't we play one on him? Cut off allll that red hair..."
Nila's mouth dropped open and she giggled. "He'd kill us!"
"So?"
"Can I be the one to cut it?" Nila said, continuing to giggle.
"Why Nila, I never thought you would be the prankster type!" I said, pretending to be stern.
"We'll do it together. Cool!"

The three of us put our heads together,trying to forget our situation with a little harmless fun...

Arthur Jameston

I couldn't pursue my father, so all I had left was Nanna who was dying. Isis purred against my leg, trying to cheer me up. I held her in my arms and said, "You're the only thing left besides Mother's pendant that I have of my family, Isis. You and I have been together when you were a month old. I remember that day when Mother saw me looking at you. She knew I loved you and just wanted to have you as my pet in spite of Nanna." I kissed her head, tears pouring down my face and my very self turning invisible. I couldn't let the others see me like that.
I heard Azure say something about pranking me to make me feel better. What she and Nila was unaware of is that I don't like it if the joke's on me.
Setting Isis down, I snuck into the masuleum and began mixing ingredients. I murmured, "If there's anyone who's hacking off this bloodred hair, it's gonna be me. No one touches my hair without my blessing." I looked at my work. It was a sneezing potion. "I hate to do this to you, Ashe, but the rules of my game is that nobody pranks the King of Pranks."

Nila
"Dinner time!" Luna yelled, waving for everyone to come over.
I grabbed Arthur's hand and pulled him towards the fire pit. "I'm not hungry," he said.
"Oh, you have to eat Arthur! Come on!"
he sighed and followed me, sitting down on the log, his arm incircling me.
Luna started handing out plates, and Arthur jumped up to help. "Here Ashe," he said, handing Ashe his plate. I watched as his hand slipped over top of the food and dropped something. ThePrank King strikes again... I thought, and watched as Ashe dug in, talking earnestly to Azure.
Arthur and I ate our food, then wondered towards the cherry blossom grove, which seemed to be our spot.
"So, you,Azure and Ashe were planning to prank me were you?" he said, looking closely at me, as we sat down. There were still tears swiming in his eyes.
"We thought it would make you feel better..And how did you know?" I said hestinatly.
"You forget I can make myself invisible. I heard the whole conversation, and thank you for trying, but anyone who touches my hair without my okay, is going to have a black eye... Or something worse."
I pretened to be hurt. Then reached up and touched his red hair. He pulled away. "No Nila. Not yet,"
I raised my eyebrows, then shrugged. "Okay."
he picked up a flower from the ground and pushed it through my hair. Then he bent down to kiss me.
"achoo, achoo aghcoo," Ashe was screaming, sneezing over and over again.
Arthur burst into laughter, and said, "I love a good prank!"
"Mmhmm," I said, leaning back. "You know who would be fun to prank? Azure."
His eyes lit up and he said "This might just work.."
He bent down quickly, brushing his lips with mine, then stood up, and walked away, muttering to himself...
