I had one of these threads a long while ago, but it's buried somewhere within the long and forgotten pages of this forum, and with the new year at hand, I believed that it would be nice to start anew. Also, this will help me toward my resolution of reviewing more frequently.
If you would like a review from me, all you need to do is post a link here and I will have your review back to you within the next one to three days. If that amount of time has passed and you still have not received your critique, feel free to send me a PM. I accept any original fiction under 5,000 words (or around for the max) and any Art/Photography. I will also review poetry, but please note that it is not my strong point in the slightest. Please don't ask me to start reviewing your novel in the middle unless there is a summary up or something else of the sort so I have an idea of what is going on. The same goes for short stories with multiple parts.
In my fiction reviews, I will be thorough, but I don't usually look into grammar unless it's really bad -- I'll address characterization, plot, pacing, ect. If there is something you would like me to focus on in your review, just let me know.
For my art reviews, I'm generally pretty thorough -- I'll look at the overall quality of the picture. For art, I will look at color, texture, lines, use of space, shading, etc. For photography I will look at lighting, angles, color, focus, and if you used digital effects to edit, I will look at how well that compliments/takes away from your photo. Again, if there is anything you would like me to focus on, just let me know.
Please only ask me to review one thing at a time -- if there is more then one thing you would like me to review, you may request it once I am done reviewing your first thing.
