Ophelia(Hades)

It was finally free time. I headed straight for the Demeter cabin, hoping to find Kassey. Kassey was cool, one of the only campers I really cared to hang out with very much. I knocked, but no one answered. Figures. I decided to hang out in my tree, and started heading that way, but Cassandra stopped me. Great.

"Ophelia, are you sure you haven't seen my necklace?" She asked, with a hint of accusation.

"Fairly sure." I said, slightly annoyed. I had already told her I hadn't seen, hadn't I?

"thanks, I guess." She turned away quickly, but I caught a glimpse of her eyes, and she looked almost desperate. Almost. I wondered offhandedly, what could be so important about this necklace? I mean sure, I had some jewelry that I was particularly fond of, but I wouldn't be this distraught if it were to suddenly disappear, the way her necklace had. More important, who would steal from Cassandra? I was certain Georgie wouldn't, those two were friends after all.

*That was fine, roadnevertravelled. I enjoyed the challenge you gave me. :D

Jack

Woo! I won! Regan looked pretty angry at me, but who wasn't these days? I didn't care, I won! I did, however live up to my side of the bagan and told everybody that I couldn't have done it without Regan and Lexie's help, but then after that I just let the party go in my honour! Woo!

The next day, I woke up and was ambushed by Keen on the way to breakfast.

"What's up?" I asked.

"It's Andreas. He's seems pretty mad at you. He won't even let me mention you." Keen said, "What diod you do?"

"Nothing I didn't do to every new recruit before me."

"You fought him."

"You say it like it's a bad thing." Keen just sighed and kept on walking leaving me alone for a few moments before I followed. What was her problem? I was just trying to help. Maybe I should tell that to Andreas next time I see him.

REGAN-athena

I had ignored all the training sessions in the morning and had devoted myself to meditating. I was hard for me to stay still for five hours, but in that time I did a lot of thinking and strategizing. It was now free time and I was going to put my practice to the test.
"Hey Jack! Hold on, I need to talk to you!" I ran towards him. He stopped and turned to me. " Can I fight you? Sword fight?" There was a surprised look on his face for a moment but It quickly disappeared into excitement.
" Yeah totally! I'll see you at the Arena in half an hour. What are the rules?"
" What rules?" I smiled deviously.

*I don't know what day it is. Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I had a basketball tournament all weekend.*

Lexie-Ares

So we won capture the flag! It was a great game. Jack was pretty quick when that Athena girl grabbed the flag. You should've seen the look on her face when Jack knocked the flag out of her hands. Priceless!

Now it was the next day and we were training together. This time, Jack fought Andreas and Keen fought me. I was a little distracted because I wanted to make sure Jack wasn't doing anything mean to Andreas. He semed fine though. It looked like Jack was actually teaching Andreas something. Weird. I'd have to talk to him about his sudden interest in Andreas's training.

Keen and I took a break, but Andreas and Jack were still fighting. We both sat and watched them for a while, and then Keen told me something very interesting.

"You wanna know why Jack is fighting him?" she asked me.

I looked at her suspicously. "How would you know?"

She leaned closer to me, obviously not wanting to be heard. "Jack and Andreas fought each other the other day. Jack wanted to find out how Andreas fought. Well, he found out all right. Now he's taking it like it's his civil duty to train Andreas."

"Did he tell Andreas what he found out?"

Keen shook her head sadly. Well, now I have to talk to Jack about two things. I got up and walked toward my two siblings fighting. I would not suggest this unless you are an Ares kid, because otherwise you'll probably get smashed to pieces. But I was just fine. I hope Jack will be too once I'm done with him. Or maybe not.

Jack

I got challenged to a fight with Regan and I got to train Andreas. I think it was a pretty good day for an Ares boy. Well, after I was challenged, I had about a half an hour to do a little training before I had to meet her. She said that she wanted it to be a sword fight, so I would go with a sword, but I suspect that I would 'accidentally' drop the sword and be 'forced' to fight hand to weapon.

I was in the middle of training with Andreas when Lexie walked over. Usually it was a bad idea to interrupt an Ares kid when they were fighting, and if it was anybody else I would have pounded them, but because Lexie and I had history I let it slide.

"What is it?" I asked.

"I need to talk to you," Lexie said, "Alone." I looked to over to Andreas and gave him the 1 minute sign and went with Lexie.

"What?" I asked.

"It has come to my attention that you fought Andreas to 'see how he fights'."

"Yeah so?"

"He's new here, we need to welcome him. Not beat him to a pulp and not tell him what you learned!"

"If I remember correctly, you beat me when I showed up." I said defensively.

"You challenged me to the fight." Lexie said. She was right, but I was hoping that she wouldn't remember.

"Well, I did it because what I learned was something that he needs to learn on his own. With my assistance, of course."

"What did you learn then?"

"He is strong, but he fights with too much anger and doesn't know how to control it."

"How can you be sure?" Lexie didn't understand. I knew that she wouldn't.

"Can we fight about this later?" I said after a moment, "I have places to be."

"What, more fights?"

"Yes, actually." With that, I left her with Keed and Andreas. Maybe fighting Regan will help calm me down. Man, Lexie can really get on my nerves sometimes.

Andreas-Ares

So first thing today we trained. I was paired up with Jack because he needed to 'help' me with my fighting. I didn't mind it that much. Especially since I was still mad at him. Every time he knocked the sword out of my hand, I got back up and fought harder. It was actually doing me some good.

Lexie and Keen had taken a break, but Jack and I were still going. Five minutes into her break, Lexie came over to us. I thought for sure that Jack would get upset and start fighting Lexie. He didn't.

"Jack I need to talk to you," she glanced at me. "Alone."

So Lexie and Jack went one way and I went the other. I sat down in the grass next to Keen and watched Lexie and Jack argue.

"What's up with them?" I asked Keen.

She sighed. "Well, Lexie was here first. She brought here little brother too, but something happened to him."

"What?" I asked. Lexie had never mentioned a little brother.

Keen turned back to face Lexie and Jack, leaving me to stare at her. "I'm not the one to tell you kid. But after Lexie got here, Jack came along. Ever since, he's been trying to beat Lexie at something; anything."

"So," I asked, totally confused, "Do Lexie and Jack hat each other?"

"Oh, no. No way. They're really close. It's all friendly competition."

I nodded, still not completely understanding, but whatever. Someday I will find out my siblings's secrets. Someday.

* Sorry I haven't been posting been a bit. Your leaving Call??????? Aw. Darn lives :D Anyway...*
> Spirit Jones- Hermes- <

Piling my hair on top of my head I slowly let my thought come together. Luna was cool. She reminded me of Claire and I had wanted to make sure she was ok. And Desert... well we had decided to spend some time apart. Both as friends and as whatever the heck our feelings wanted us to be. Sighing, I pulled my tank top over my head. Somebody burst into the cabin. The Athena girl. Well. She looked confused ,than eyed me.
" Aw Crap," she muttered.
" Hey Reagan," I said casually.
" Wrong cabin."
" Common newbie mistake."
I studied her for a second. She was pretty in a tough sort of way. Frankly, I was suprised she wasn't an Ares kid.
" I'm not a common newbie"
" No. No your not."
She looked at me, suprised.
" You've been spending to much time with the Ares cabin. Not everyone loves to fight."
She shrugged then left without goodbye. Strange. Kicking my PJ top under my bed I felt a book down there. Leaning down I try to find it. It's a dusty old book labled Hermes Cabin's best pranks. This was good. I had to show Nick.
I have loved the words and I have hated them. I only hope I have made them right.

We'll just say that all of this has been happening on Monday, 'kay?

Nick~Hermes

I crept into the Hades cabin while the Hades kids worked on their archery. It was dark and drab, and everything was black and cold. "What a cheery place." I muttered to myself. I had already been in here once this week, on Wednesday night. I had been walking by when I noticed the door wide open with no one around. So, I decided to check it out, you know the usual 'plant one of my new pranks' or 'see what they have that's worth any value'. And that's when I had seen it, a beautiful cat necklace, just lying there on one of the side tables. My mom loved cats, and I remembered that her birthday was coming up. And, well, being a Hermes kid and all, I just took it.

But that had been days ago, now it was Monday and here I was again. But this time I wasn't planning on stealing anything (something which was definitely not like me). Actually, I was here to give something back.

Pulling my hand from my pocket, I opened it and looked down. There sat the cat necklace. Cassandra's cat necklace. The first time I heard that she was looking for it, I just shrugged it off and thought She'll get over it soon enough. But she didn't. For the last couple of days, she's been completely depressed. I'm not someone who gives things back after I've taken them, but... well I guess this necklace really meant something to her. So I was going to let this one slip.

So, anyways, I walked over to her dresser and started to place the necklace on the top. But suddenly the door opened and I whipped around. It was Cassandra.

She stopped when she saw me. "What are you doing in my cabin?"

Crap.

Everyone stop spelling my name wrong! It's REGAN

REGAN-athena

I was glad Jack accepted my challenge. It gave me something to look forward to, a point to this endlessly dull camp. Now it was time to fight him. I went to a cabin and knocked. Whoops, I guess the wings all over the cabin should have told me it wasn't the Ares cabin. The girl surprised me. I didn't think I fought that much, I just didn't want friends. I chose the right cabin this time, well, hopefully the cabin with red paint and war scenes all over it was Ares. I knocked.
" Is Jack there?" I said to a young looking boy, maybe 12. I think has name was Andreas, or maybe Andy.
" Um, yeah, hold on. You're Regan, the angry Athena camper, right?"
" No, I'm Regan, the kid who's gonna punch you if you don't go get Jack right now." I responded. He should be talking, I think I heard jack telling someone his weakness was his anger. Anger was my way of showing disgust and impatience.
" Fine, hold your pegasus, I'll get him."
He appeared in less than a minute. " Ready Regan?" He said.
" Totally."

We entered the arena fully adorned in battle gear. He using minimal armor and a sword, me, my fighting sword, a rapier for speed, and chest armor. I also wore forearm armor under my shirt I've seen two many monsters have their hands chopped of to be comfortable without them.
I stood with the sunny windows to my back. An old Athena trick. He stood, squinting at the slightly higher point of the arena. An ares trick. Not a good one though when It's only about one degree of of even. I lunged at him. He dodged me, attacking with his own sword, but I was to fast for him. I ducked the blade and twisted my sword in the handle of his shield, pulling it away. He staggered backwards, unbalanced. I took advantage f his confusion to readjust my grip on my sword. ready for my next move. He lunged towards me. and I didn't attempt to dodge this time. using my foot, I swung the unused shield toward him. He jumped over it with surprizing grace. In midair though, he made a mistake. He forgot The shield, again. I swung it to where he would land as he landed unsteadily on top of it. With a flick of my wrist his sword was knocked from his hand and he fell to the ground. I put my sword at the side of his neck and said the winning words.
"slash. You're dead." He smiled and got to his feet. I saw anger in his eyes, but there was something else there to, a satisfied look.
" I thought you were too stubborn to be able to fight, but you proved me wrong. Make note though, next time, I wont let you win." He winked and was gone.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Cassandra [Hades]|Monday:

I narrowed my gaze at him. What was Nick doing in here? Then I noticed what he had in his hands. And with that too. He was so dead. "I said, what are you doing in my cabin?" Nick's hand twitched; I noticed it was the one with my necklace in it. He didn't say anything and I reached for the necklace, planning on taking it back but he whipped it back, out of my reach. "Hey!" I shouted, angry. "Give it back!"

He moved out of reach, frowning at me. "It's just a necklace."

I stopped short, swallowing hard. I felt tears prick my eyes, swiped at them and half turned away. I was not going to cry in front of him. But I had a bigger dilemma; Tell or don't tell him about my mother? I swore under my breath, took a deep one and turned to face him.

Nick was staring at me, eyes on my face. I saw him take in the watery eyes, and then he frowned again. I knew what he was thinking; the Hades girls was about to cry. And I would too, if he didn't give it back. I knew I'd freak out if he kept it. I forced my attention back to him and tried not to focus too much on my necklace.

"It's not just any necklace!" I hissed and switched moods on him. "Now give it back!"

Jack -- Monday

So that Regan girl can actually fight. I must say that I was impressed. And angered at the defeat. But mostly impressed... I guess.

"So, did you win?" Lexie asked as I walked into my cabin.

"Nah," I said, "I thought that I should at least let her feel good after I stole her victory away from her."

"Yeah, sure." Keen said sarcastically. This made both Lexie and Andreas laugh.

"You just don't let people win, Jack." Lexie said.

"Of course I do, I've been letting you win for years."

"Yeah sure. Keep on believing that."

"The way I see it," I said, "we have been training too closely for too long. You know all of my moves. Heck, you taught me most of them."

"And that's a bad thing?" Andreas finally said.

"Not for teamwork, but if I am every going to beat you, Lexie, I'm going to need to start working on some of my own manuevers."

"Granted," Lexie said, "you've come a long way since I first met you, but if you ever think you can beat me in anything, you've another thing coming."

"Is that a challenge?"

"Why is everything a challenge to you, Jack!?" Lexie yelled. This was turning into a full fledged argument. That was a pretty common thing between us, but I could tell that she was genuinely frustrated at me. Well, I didn't blame her, I was also pretty frustrated.

"I don't know, Lexie!" I yelled back at her, "I'm just tired of always being the second best at everything!"

"Fine then, go train with that Regan girl for all I care! Just don't come crying to me when it doesn't help at all!"

I didn't respond to her. We had an understanding and we both knew it without having to say it. Neither of us would put the team in jeopardy so we would use the official camp training times to keep the teamwork good, but on my free time, I would train either by myself or with Regan if I could get her to agree. I was pretty happy with that. Perhaps even Regan could help me develop more techniques that I could use when the time finally came to beat Lexie. After that time, I could sit back and stand being second best, I just wanted one victory. Was that so much to ask?

>Monday<

So Jack is just acting like a baby.

We've been training together since we got here...you know all my moves...maybe if I train with someone else then I'll finally beat you.

Blah, blah, blah. He better not come crying back to me when he loses to that girl over and over again. And he most definatly has not been letting me win all these years. He's just upset he can't beat me at anything. I'd let him win at something, but then he'd get too cocky.

And so what if I know all his manuevers? Isn't that what this camp is all about; training to become better fighters for when we're out in the real world? I don't see what the big deal is. Jack just needs to suck it up and be a man. Oh, whoops, did I just insult him? Oh well.

I could feel the tension between Keen and Andreas. They weren't sure what to make of us. Neither of them talked to us much after that. I wouldn't blame them. I'm sure we're pretty scary when we're mad. And boy was I mad.

Luna-Poseidon

I was lonely now that Charlie had left camp ( I hope that's OK). I had begun to hang out with the Hermes cabin. They new how to have fun. I went to talk to Spirit, but she seemed in a rush.
" Have you seen Nick?" She said. She seemed excited, and was holding something large under her shirt.
" Not since lunch, what are you doing, do you want to go swimming?"
"Sorry Luna," she gave me a sad smile. " This is really important, Hermes stuff, I'll tell you about it later, I promise." She ran off, searching for Nick. I turned and saw the edge of a person disappearing behind a tree.

I walked into our cabin, expecting to be alone, instead, I found Cassandra, looking about ready to kill Nick. Nick, why was he in our cabin? Never mind.

"Give it back," She hissed. The necklace! So that's who had taken it. He continued to withhold it, and I could see Cassandra seething internally. Then something in her manner changed. She wasn't just angry any more, she looked like was ready to... Oh Crap.

"Nick, give it back, now!" I yelled, panicking.

"What's up with you?" He said, laughing, as he handed the necklace over.

"I..I nothing, never mind. I overreacted, it was nothing." Mercifully, he left, I was alone with Cassandra again. I couldn't help but wonder, had I overreacted?
