Well, I was getting out of this camp, into the world, where I belonged. I was so used to fighting monsters and traveling in the human world that it was a better place for me than hormonal camp Half Blood. Why nick was chosen, I don't know. He must have hidden leadership skills that will reveal themselves on this quest. As we leave camp I look back. Was it really such a bad place? It doesn't matter now. I turn to see the world out in front of me, and I'm ready to face it.

Kassey, the only person from camp I considered my friend, was thinking of leaving? That would officially suck. I mean, I had always been independent person, but since I had become friends with Kassey, I had needed human company more and more, and honestly, other than Kassey, I didn't get muchpositive social interaction. I mean, sure not everyone was like Cassandra and Georgie, but I never hung out with any of them. If she left I would be alone again, and this time it would pose a problem. So I was stuck. Unless...... I wasn't sure about it, but I thought maybe, I might go with her.

Well, I just found out that I wasn't the only Poseidon kid. An older camper had just arrived this summer, Katherine. As
I was sitting on a rock by a stream she came up to me.

" Hi Luna," she said with a wave. She seemed nice enough, at least she wasn't like Regan.

" Hi, you must be Katherine, nice to meet you." I said. It sounded stiff, I felt like I needed to add something. " Do you like it here? I do, especially the sunsets." She looked at me questioningly.

" Sunsets? I would've thought you'd like things more, well, less fiery," she continued, " And no, I don't really like it here. I want to be normal." She sat down and grabbed her knees; she looked almost scared. But of what? Camp half-Blood, not being normal?

"Define 'normal'."

Lexie-Ares
Friday

I went to talk to Nick this morning. I wanted to ask him some things about the quest. On the way over to his cabin, I was thinking about eveyrone who was going on the quest. Out of all those people, why was Nick the leader? He never struck me as a leader type of guy, but oh well. The Oracle chose him, so he must be the right person. Right when I got to the Hermes cabin Nick walked out. Good timing.

"Hey Nick, I wanted to talk to you."

"Oh, uh, hi Lexie. What's up." I think I startled him.

"I was just wondering when we're gonna set out. Cause I've been packing for a couple days now."

Nick nodded. "Yes. We should head out asap. I have a feeling this quest has a time limit."

"So, about the quest, I'm pretty sure Geae is the one behind all of this. Do you know how hard it's going to be to fight her? She's supposedly one of, if not the, strongest gods out there."

"I know," Nick's face turned grim, "and I've been thinking about one of the lines. 'An oath to keep with the final breath' That one worries me. I'm pretty sure that means one of us won't make it back."

I nodded. We stood in silence for a while, and then an idea struck my mind. "Hey, the last line, 'And foes bear arms to the doors of death' That definatly means we have to go West. They have to mean the doors to the underworld."

"Yeah, that's a good thought." Nick glanced around me. "Oh look, there's Spirit. I got to go talk to her." Without saying anything else, he walked away. I had a feeling he didn't like talking to me.

I watched the exchange between Lexie and Nick and after he left, I approached Lexie. She looked a little disappointed in what had happened. Well, I can see why, because Nick looked a little frightened to be talking to her. Maybe he was afraid of the wrath of Ares.

"That looked helpful." I said jokingly.

"You saw that?" Lexie asked.

"Yup. He looked like he was afraid you might destroy him."

"Or that you would jump out of the bushes and destroy him."

"You know my hiding places too well." I said. She smiled at this. Good, I was making her feel better. That was the goal, at least.

"I only know them because they are painfully obvious" She replied, "I'm sure the entire camp knows them."

"If they did, I would have been killed three times over from what I have seen."

"What are you saying?"

"Nothing." I said quickly, "Hey, I know what will get your mind off of this. Beating me up a bit. How about it?"

"Yeah." She said with a laugh, "That sounds like a plan. But, first."

"What?"

"Why do you think Nick was chosen as the leader?"

"No clue." I said, "I don't even think Nick knows why. I think he doesn't want to lead this quest, though. As you said, someone will probably die and I don't think Nick is the type of person who can handle that kind of stress."

"The Oracle must have her reasons."

"Probably, but she won't say anything. Oracles are mysterious like that."

"Good point." Lexie said, and we continued to the training arena. This was a quest that even I wouldn't want to lead. The possibility of losing Lexie during it would have made me go crazy. Sad as it is, I don't know how I would live if she were to die. Having a best friend can be a troublesome as being in a relationship. In either case, you don't want the other person to die, but you are willing to kill yourself to make sure they live. That was the way I saw Lexie. I had to make sure she lived to come back even if I didn't.

Just before they had left, I gave Nick a hug. "Kill a bunch of monsters for me, kay? And try not to steal too much."

He laughed and rustled my hair, "That's like asking a Poseidon kid not to drink too much water." He winked at me, and then turned and ran down the hill.

"Bet you're happy he's gone," Luna said. I shrugged. Sure we fought a lot and he could be annoying, but he was like my brother, and I wanted him to come back alive. I tried yet again to get the phrase out of my mind, 'An oath to keep with a final breath' surely that wouldn't be Nick. I shivered, Oh gods, please don't let it be him. Luna must have seen my never-ending smile weaken, because she put her arm around my shoulders and said, "Lets go to the camp store, I'll buy you a Reeses." I smiled, she knew how to bribe me.

Luna-Poseidon

" Lets go to the camp store, I'll buy you a reeses" I said. Alex smiled. As we walked to the camp store, I heard something from the woods, something big.

Alex turned towards it. " Do you hear that?" She looked worried. I looked over at the camp bus leaving, it was close to whatever sound it was. Alex followed my line of sight and started shaking. I grabbed her arm and pulled her towards the sound. I could she trees falling in the woods now, but I didn't care, I had to get to it before it got to the truck. As I pulled out my sword, Alex strung her arrow, ready to fire. As we reached the edge of the woods, a huge pink thing blocked my vision. It was a sow. The last one had been defeated 18 years ago by Percy Jackson. Something must be disrupting the world for such a dangerous monster to come back so quickly.

" BONG, BONG!" rang a bell in the distance. It was followed by a campers voice, " Monster in the camp! Monster in the woods!" I knew other, stronger campers would get here soon, but how soon? The sow spotted us at that second, and started attacking.

( I hope this is all right for it's enterance)

Friday

Camp seemed really dull without Lexie and Jack around. I started training by myself and I think I'm getting better. I hope Jack and Lexie are okay. They should be on their way to--wherever they're going. I'm not exactly sure where they are going. Oh well, I guess it's supposed to stay a secret.

I guess this is my time to step out of my shell and start meeting new people. I'll head out after my training. There are bound to be a couple people who's only friend left on the quest. That would make it easier to make friends. But for now I'd have to train hard so when Jack and Lexie come back--if they both come back--then I will be stronger and a better fighter. Who knows, I might even end up being better than Lexie.

I had just put my weapon away and was walking out of the arena when I heard a loud bell ringing. I looked at my watch. It wasn't time for lunch yet; what was going on? I ran out of the arena and almost fell backwards onto the ground. The yells of "Monster in the woods!" did not have to warn me of the big pink think coming towards us. It was a sow, and I don't think it was very friendly. Looking around frantically, I try to find a weapon. Luckily for me, a spear was sitting on the ground by my feet. It was electric, which I have to say was pretty cool. Not until later did I really think about how the spear got there.

Running toward the monster I ran into Alex. She had strung a bow and was just about to shoot it at the sow when I bumped into her and the arrow shot off course. Cursing under her breath she strung another arrow. Before she could shoot it, the sow opened it's mouth and let out a loud, long belch. Alex ducked out of the way, but I wasn't sure what was so dangerous about it's belch. Luckily, Antion was there. He pushed me out of the way as a cloud of something went over top of us.

"Poison belches," Antion told me, "watch out for it." He got up and ran over to help Alex fight the sow. I got up too and looked around. Most of the other campers had come to help fight the sow. There were about six campers fighting already, and more were on the way. The sow would get overpowered eventually.

Summoning every ounce of energy I had I got ready to charge. The spear I held in my hand was fizzling as electricity ran through it. I was ready. This was my big test. The last time I ran into a monster, I had run away. This time, I was going to run at it. Face my fears. And with that thought in my mind, I charged.

I watched, horrified, as Andreas charged at the sow. "No! Stop!" I tried to warn him. He obviously didn't realize how dangerous this thing was. The pig faced Andreas - as if taunting him - and waited for him to come forward. I was about to turn away when a shot of electricity shot out of the spear that he was holding and zapped the pig. Apparently the sow was surprised as I was, because it didn't trample Andreas. With a squeal, it fell back on its haunches from the force of the hit. But of course it didn't evaporate, dang monsters this big weren't that easy to get rid of.

Before the sow could get out of it's shock and pulverize Andreas, I quickly ran up, grabbed him, and pulled him back. His face was covered in soot and his hair stood on end, but he smiled and said, "smells like bacon." Rolling my eyes, I dropped him and notched another arrow.

^ Kasey-Demeter^

" So what did you decide?," Ophelia asked me.
" I'll stay for now. I couldn't leave you."
Ophelia opened her mouth to say something. We were walking along camp borders.
" MONSTER IN THE CAMP!!!!!," a kid ran past us.
I look at Ophelia. Simultaneously nodding we run to where we here loud squealing.

That idiot Andreas was trying to fight this giant pig. The Apollo girl Alex ran towards him yelling to stop. I grab the sword out of my pant leg. ( Yes I where pants in the summer. Who doesn't?) Andreas stabs the pig and it squels and runs back. The Apollo girl gets him away. What now? I make a quick decision. With a quick, hopefully deadly aim. I throw my sword at the sow. Ophelia gasps beside me. The sword is sticking out of the pigs side, near it's ribs. The pig turns at me, eyes angry.
" Kasey!," Ophelia crys.
The pig charges right at me.

Well, things have changed. The monster had started attacking Kasey. I'm sure she could have held up against it, but then again, maybe I was wrong. I charged the pigs big pink but yelling, trying to distract it. As it started to turn around I threw my sword blindly and ran away. As I looked back I saw that I had hit it next to it's eye. It was squealing madly, and swinging around. My guess is that it couldn't see anymore through that eye, the sword was so close. Of course, now I didn't have a weapon, and It was coming for me.

~Daemond~ Dioynus~

Walking up Half-blood hill, I sighed. Here I was going to the place I swore I would never go again. The camp slowly came up. Hearing a giant squel I broke into a jog. Tazmanion Sow. Cursing in Greek I suryveyed the grounds. Two dark haired girls stood by trying to figure out what to do. The sow was watching a small girl, who was backed up. Then I saw her. Alex! She was standing by a Ares boy. The fight was just an aura with them. Pulling out my small gun I fired. It went right through it. Crap! I put in the regular bullets. Serching through my bag I cursed again .I had no Monster bullets! I sprint up the hill. I had to help that girl! Taking out my sword, I run straight in front of the girl.
" Daemond?," Alex questioned.
I wink at her. The pig snorts.
" what the crap are you doing?," the girl whispered.
" Saving your butt!", I whisper back.
Slashing my sword at the pigs nose, I smile. I did miss this. Green goosh goes out of the sow's nose. Stabbing at it, I slip under the sow's belly.

Other charecters can help here!

I watched as another of the demigods slipped under his stomach and I cursed. I reached behind me, grabbing one of my specially designed swords and took three quick lunges forward before distracting the sow, while the boy underneath took care of it's underbelly. I slashed at it, dodging backwards as it lunged. I danced, it was so relaxing knowing I could do this again. I took another lunge towards it, it screeched and began to lunge quicker. I hissed, I had no power but in water and I couldn't move the damn thing because someone was underneath it! A lightning bolt shot out of nowhere and I ducked,
-

Anthony

I waltzed casually towards it, hand extended and a smirk plastered on my face. That girl wasn't doing much to help, just dancing around with a sword like one of Aphrodites children.
To fly away on gossamer wings, sheer as night's reflective glow, I would could I cradle child hecate to my breast.
