***Cait is from Ireland.
As for the espers, what about Jordan? When do I get to play around with him?***
Cait
Cait giggled, looking up at him. "You don't have to stand for me. It's nothing - "
"No. You deserve it!" Ren countered, joining her on the stage. He sat down on the piano stool beside her, looking at the clipboard in front of her. "What's that?"
She turned her attention to the paper. It was obviously hand-written music, judging by the style of the notes and the various other scribbles and eraser marks. She lost intensity in her smile. "This is one of the pieces I'm working on. It's 'Una Noche', by the group Il Divo." She pointed at the bottom line. "This is the piano part. The top four lines are the vocals."
"They're all different, though."
"Of course." She scoffed humorously. "It's called harmony." She put her fingers to the keys, beginning the chorus. B-flat-3, G-2, D-2... "The top two do run together with the same line, but you see here, in measure thirty..." she shifted her fingers to a new chord: a B-flat-4, G-3, E-flat-3, and B-flat-3 combination, "...they split. Now you have all four parts."
She took her hand off and began playing through the piece, reading the music. She played the accompaniment with her left hand - a repeated set of arpeggios - and the voice parts with her right. She sang the primary melody, trying her best with the words. That was all that she had not accomplished yet - memorizing the Spanish.
