~Annie May~

It was actually comfortable to go to sleep next to Kyle when he had his arm around me. I found myself drifting off quickly, no bad dreams to make me scream and wake up, nothing that would show anything bad happening in the future in some unknown way. Just memories. Happy memories, pictures actually.

Some from when I first got here, believe it or not, when I had my friend with me before she died, then, when I'd met these people, my new family, when I didn't really want to talk to them, when I was being stuck up by helping them then leaving them. Then, there was when we were in the helicopter, Tar and I. I didn't know what was so good about that, but it was there, the victory of killing her. Then, after all of that, finding Domi on the other side of the island, safe.

But it wasn't one of those memories that was the best. My favorite was the last memory, when Kyle kissed me. That was a moment that actually made my day. What was really shocking, I liked it, after all he'd done to me, I'd ended up apologizing to him, I had been the one saying sorry. I wanted to hurt him before, and now, I didn't want anyone touching him. I would hurt the first person that tried to hurt him. That was how it would be.

I stared at Saphire for a moment before shaking off the shock. There were lots of orphans in the world, right? It shouldn't be so shocking that she was one of them. Maybe it was just the fact that I had always had a pretty big, loving family that made it seem so bizarre to me. "An orphan?" Okay, so what else was I supposed to say?

"Yep."

Alright. So I had met an orphan. No big deal. "Interesting," I muttered. We walked into the tent and set Nasira down carefully. Annie made an attempt at getting up, but ended up sprawled on her back.

"Come here Annie," Kyle ordered.

He was wincing, in pain. "What's wrong with you?" I asked, scanning him. He had some...unpleasant looking wounds.

"Your brother went trigger happy on me. But I deserved it." He left quickly, Annie in tow. Tarrion was glaring at him over Domi's shoulder.

I turned to him, my blood boiling. "You did what?!"

Tarr looked up. "Like he said, he deserved it."

Domi sighed loudly.

TARRION

"What the hell did he do to deserve that!?" Ryder was shouting now, which wasn't good. Ryder didn't shout. Nope, he was too big and teddy-bearish for that. Oh, and he swore. Also not a typical Ryder-move.

I took a deep breath and kissed Domi on the cheek. "Things, Ry. Just leave it at that please?"

"Things? Jeez Tarr. You freakin' shot him!"

"Four times."

"What?!"

I really didn't want to talk about this right now. At all. All I wanted was for Domi to get better, to stay with her. Ryder really wasn't helping that. "I'll talk to you about it later. Not now."

Ryder shook his head, fists clenched and stormed out of the tent.

"Sorry," I murmered, kissing Domi on the cheek again.

Tarrion took Domi away from me, jeez he was so protective. In a way he reminded me of my brother Duncan, but in another way, her was my brother.

The new guy, Ryder, came storming out of the tent, fists clenched and eyes flaming. He didn't look like someone I wanted to meet but I was bored. I stood up and walked over in his direction. "We never did officially meet. I'm Gemma, your Tarrion's brother right?" I said, probably a little too enthusiastically.

His hands unclenched and his face softened a bit, but his eyes still held a little fire. "Yeah, just luck both of us were put on this island eh?" he joked.

I let out a small laugh, "Maybe so."

Damon

As I made my way back to the secret entrance, I didn't bother to hide from the cameras. In fact, I stopped in front of one, smiling wryly and waving the camera in my hand in front of it, then blowing a kiss. I hoped she saw that, for some reason. I hoped it made her mad, I hoped she would yell. She looked so much better mad. She was Samantha when she was mad.

I walked down the halls and back to the camera room, the smile still on my face. Mark was just going in, holding coffee. That sounded good, maybe I could make him go get me some, after I faced the sure to be furious Samantha. I pushed the door open, turning to her and smiling wider.

"My lady," I said, holding out the camera. When she snatched it from me, I bowed to her, knowing she was mad. She looked it too, but she couldn't help but smile after she hit me in the head with the heal of her hand. "You're welcome." That was just her way of saying "Oh Damon, I love the way you just go off and do what you know is best without my permission." I pointed to Mark, the stumbling idiot.

"Coffee," I said, pointing behind me to the door. He nodded, leaving. He was afraid of Sam, and since I was her little minion, he feared me too. It was nice to have a slave to do my work for me. I turned back to Sam, seeing that she was looking over the hours worth of video on the computer. I went over to the desk she was at, putting one hand on the desk, and one hand on the back of her chair, watching the video myself.

>PS, Damon sort of likes Samantha, but he find every girl interesting, so it doesn't matter!! Just adding drama :smt003 <

Domi

I snuggled into Tarrion, feeling terrible about his brother, and slightly worried that I may get sick all over him at any second. I clentched my stomach with my arms. Tarrion's arms wrapped around me warmly. I sneezed again, quickly covering my face with my arm.
"Bless you." Tarrion chuckled. I closed my eyes and put my head against his chest.
"I found the one thing I hate more then getting wet." I said into his chest, my eyes still closed. He chuckled.
"and what is that?" I looked up to him.
"Getting sick." I groaned. "So, are you going to tell Ryder?" I asked, looking at the entrance to the tent.
"Yes, you don't mind do you?" He asked. I just shook my head, cause I was falling asleep.

I glared at the computer monitor. Just glared. Damon hadn't gotten the beating of his life because I still hadn't figured outa suitable punishment. His little display in front of the camera had been cute and all, but it pissed me off. Damon seemed to have a knack for doing that to me-making me mad.

Of course, the video was interesting to watch. Amusing. Awwe, poor little Domi was sick. Darn the way things happen huh? Mildly large amounts of sarcasm intended there. The boys seemed happy enough to be reunited, but that wouldn't last too long.

"I'm impressed Damon," I muttered absently.

"Mhm." He sounded slightly unsure of what I was saying, which he should be. I had finally thought up a suitable punishment for the twit.

"You disobeyed orders, you know that right?"

"Yes..."

I smiled and turned away from the video to look him in the eye. "You get to go hang out with our sick beasties. The ones I've been working on now. No killing any of them. I need you to learn more about what's making them so sick so quickly. No weapons." I paused before adding, "And after you'd done that, you can lug Mark around and hang up cameras. Everywhere."

RYDER

I sighed. "Yeah, maybe so. Or I guess it could be that I was sent here to make sure he stopped shooting at people." I still couldn't believe he would do that... go 'trigger happy' as Kyle had called it, on somebody. I was also getting around to wondering what Kyle had done to get on Tarr's bad side so easily.

There was a bit of an awkward silence. "Anyways..." I needed a subject change. "What would you think of putting up walls? Big ones. Four of them, like a bit of a fort? And maybe some decent shelter." There, I had told somebody my far-fetched dreams. "Too farfetched?" I echoed my own worries. It did seem a little out-there... but it would improve life, wouldn't it?

"Ry?"

I frowned. Trigger-happy brother was interupting. "What?" I muttered, turning to him.

He glanced between us. Us being Gemma and me. "Can I talk to you for a minute? About Kyle?" His eyes darted to where him and Annie were when he said this. He didn't look happy.

"Later." I wasn't in the mood to talk to him right now.

TARRION

I glared at Ryder. This was important! But fine, if he wanted to flirt, I'd let him. If that's what he was doing. He wasn't the flirtatious type...most of the time. There was that one time when he had been talking to my wonderfully despicable fiance back home. He was trying to make her laugh, succesfully.

But that seemed like a decade ago. Last Christmas was it? Something like that.

"Whatever. It's important though, come looking for me when you're not too...busy." I sighed and turned to walk back to the tent, changing my mind and heading for the fire. Domi needed sleep, and for some reason I didn't want to go back out and tell her that I had backed out of talking to Ry so quickly.

Tarrion came out of the tent, was he going to take another person away from me? "Can I talk to you for a minute? About Kyle?" he said facing Ryder.

"Later." muttered Ryder.

"Whatever. It's important though, come looking for me when you're not too...busy." sighed Tar, eyeing me on the last part. What was he implying?

Tar headed away in the direction of the tent. "It doesn't sound too far fetched to me." I told Ryder, "I have thought that from the start, but I'm warning you, I am the worst handyman ever. Err, handywoman."

He chuckled, "I'm pretty good with my hands."

"Oh yeah, Tarrion said you were master carpenter." I said, with a some what questioning tone.

"You better believe I am." laughed Ryder.

I raised an eyebrow, "Prove it."

I chuckled. "How do you want me to do that?"

Gemma shrugged. "I dunno. Build something?" She said it as though it were so obvious, which it was... but I sort of had no clue what the heck to build. No nails, no tools, no decent wood. Hammers I could work without, just use a decent-sized rock. I could use rope...or vines I guess they would have here, but nails held so much better.

"What do you want me to build?" I arched an eyebrow, matching her expression.

She shrugged again. "You're the carpenter."

I glanced over at the chickens, an idea slowly formulating. "I could add a house to the chicken coop..."

"You do that then."

I grinned lopsidedly. "I'll need something to hold things together. Nails, vines, anything?" This would be fun.

"Uhm, I think we have nails, but you'd probably have to ask Tar where they are."

He gave a haughty laugh, "I don't think he would even tell me right now."

"Jeeze, what got into you two?" I asked.

"You mean what got into him." he said, recieving a concerned look from me. "Don't look at me like that, he's the one who went all trigger happy, not me."

"Oh that."

"Yeah that," He muttered. "So about those nails?"

"I think they are in the tent, just hang on." I said, scurrying away to locate some tools.

~Annie May~

When my eyes opened, we were still laying together under the tree, holding each other. I sat up, ignoring my side, and looked at him. He was asleep, thank God. He needed sleep, more than I did. I stood up, using the tree to keep me from falling, and I hobbled over to the others. The Amy girl was by the fire, curled up, asleep finally. She could do this, I knew it. I went in the tent, grabbing one of the extra blankets from the box, and went to put it over the poor girl. She didn't wake.

I sat down close to the fire, listening to all of the small talk. Gemma was talking Ryder into building things, which would be nice, and he was asking what we needed, and listing off the things he would need for it. I wanted to go looking for that guy, but I was sure he would be long gone by now.

~Amy~

I felt someone put a blanket over me, and I just barely opened my eyes to see who it was. It was that Annie girl. She looked hurt, and she was hobbling around, blood on the side of her shirt, like she was bleeding. I didn't open my eyes all the way, but I looked at her, confused. I was demanding, and she was giving me what I wanted after all of the things that had happened here? Maybe this could work out to suit me. It was always good to have a slave for whenever you wanted something. But she was nice too. Maybe she wouldn't hate me. Maybe she could be my friend. She didn't talk to anyone, she simply sat there, listening to every one's conversation. The noise became a low buzz and, once again, I found myself asleep. I could get over this, couldn't I?

Damon

The problem wasn't that I had sat with those beasts for hours, it wasn't that one had almost eaten me, it wasn't that I had found nothing wrong with them, it wasn't that I had to go hang up these damn cameras everywhere. None of that mattered. It was the fact that Mark was behind me while we did, jumping at every noise. That was the real pain.

There was a loud howl, and then a low growl somewhere near us, and he turned frantically. "What was that?" he asked for the hundredth time. He new just as well as I did what it was, he has helped make the damn things. I sighed, walking slower as we approached the camp.

"I don't think we should get so close, they might--"he started. I turned around, grabbing his neck and pushing him against the tree.

"Will. You. Shut. Up?" I asked in a low voice. "Don't think I wont enjoy squeezing your head off right now." My voice was threatening, and I let him go, letting him fall. I hadn't realised his feet weren't on the ground. Gang kid needed to be taught when to shut up. I shook the thought away as I climbed high in the tree and positioned a camera to point directly down on them in the spot I had been in.

I was glad when all of the cameras had been hung, and we were heading back to Sam. As we went in, I shoved Mark then went in myself, pushing him in front of me. As we walked down the hall, I knew I had an agitated look on my face, which is why he didn't look at me. He was useless. I shoved him again through the door into the room where Samantha was.

"Enjoy," I muttered, sitting on one of the tables and putting my fingers to my temples.

I flipped the page over, scanning it quickly for anything useful. I was reading Gemma's files, trying to find something interesting on her. Anything interesting to be honest. I was absolutely down-right bored with life, and I needed to mess with somebody.

Mark stumbled into the room, followed by a very unhappy-looking Damon. I looked up from my paper without moving my head.

"Enjoy," Damon muttered. He plummeted into one of the chairs and started rubbing his temples. Mark was looking absolutely jittery.

I couldn't hold back a snicker of content. I could make him even more angry than he already was. It was tempting, too... Order him to go fetch Mark and I something, perhaps. Oh, tempting indeed... But I had had my fun, I'd let poor Damon off the hook. "Mark, you're dismissed. I have things I would like to discuss with Damon." He nodded quickly and slipped through the door, obviously thrilled to get away from the Grim Reaper over there.

I continued to scan the papers for a few minutes. There had to be something here... I flipped the page, staring at the bold letters at the top. Family. I had already messed with Tarrion's family life, but it had been enjoyable enough. And the pain it must have put their parents through...

"Gemma's life is about to get very, very interesting," I murmered, mostly to myself.

RYDER

Gemma came back out, package of nails in hand. I grinned. "This should be fun. Now, I need wood... and something to cut the wood with." Well, I suppose that I'd have to live with branches out here, but that was okay.

Gemma groaned. "I'll be right back." She disapeared back through the tent flap and I let out a quiet chuckle. She was officially on my list of people I knew I was going to get along with.

She came back, now sporting a hand-saw. "This good enough?"

I nodded and held out my hand. "Now, let's get started," I said, grinning lopsidedly. I set the nails and hammer down by the coop and turned back to Gemma. "Wanna come help me find some branches or something?"

TARRION

I was still standing by the fire, watching my brother carefully. So obsorbed with Gemma... Then again, I supposed that was a good thing, except that I really needed to talk to him. He obviously didn't understand the meaning of the word important.

Fine. I sulked away from the fire and past the two lovlies, back into the tent. Domi was sleeping, a little wheezy still. I sat down beside her and absently fiddled with a few strands of her hair. Nasira was in here, too. Awake. Had I even talked to her yet? No... I hadn't. I didn't think.

I looked up and offered a half-hearted smile.

"Wanna come help me find some branches or something?" Ryder asked me.

"That I can do," I laughed, "But don't go asking me to help on the construction part."

He picked up the saw and walked off into the forest, "Maybe it's time you learned."

I shook my head and ran into the forest after him, "Trust me, it isn't." That got a smile out of him. "You know, your going to have to help me with this. I don't know wood from well, wood."

DUNCAN (No one interupt this, I have something planned.)

Ever since Gemma was taken, I have been looking into the people who did it. On one of the jacket the men were wearing I saw a name. The Greenbill Project. For five months I did all I could to find about it, finally about a month ago, I had a breakthrough. The Greenbill Project is a survival experiment by an organization that goes by The Company. I'm sure they have a real name, not a stupid cover up like The Company, but it's not like I'd be able to find out someting that secretive. One thing I did know though was whatever they were doing, it surely couldn't be legal. Could it?

I have had this crazy idea in my head since I found out about The Project. What if they ever came back for stuff for Gemma? I assembled a small pack filled with things Gemma, wherever she was, might need. There was some clothes, soap, bandages, antiseptic, and small cast iron pan. It never crossed my mind that I would be the one bringing it to her.

Bang, bang, bang. A loud pounding on the door woke me up from a good dream, who ever was knocking on our door in the middle of the night better have had a good reason. I opened the door rubbing sleep out of my eye, "Whaddaya want?" I yawned.

An evil looking grin spread across the mans face, "You." It was then my eyes fell on the sewn badge on his jacket. The Greenbill Project, Jim. I was suddenly jolted awake.

"One second!" I said and darted away. I ran into me room and grabbed the pack, just in case. I hurried back to the door, "I am allowed to bring this, right?" i asked as sweetly as possible.

"Whatever kid, just get in the car." I followed Jim out of the house and into a shiny black vehicle. "Drink?" he asked.

"Sure." I said, grabbing the class of what looked like juice out of his hand. Wherever Gemma was, they couldn't be to badly treated, I thought as I downed the drink. Jim was looking at me with an odd look, like he was waiting for something. Then I started to feel it, I was getting sluggish and sleepy, my vision was blurring. Everything went black.

When I awoke I was being shaken by a woman in a white lab coat, and good lord, what was that noise? I looked at my surroundings, was I in a helicopter? Was I going to see Gemma soon? It was if she could read my mind, "You will be joining your sister real soon." she smirked. The helicopter swooped low and the door opened. I moved forward a little to see out and where I was when I recieved a hard shove from behing. My arms flailed and barely grabbed ahold of the pack before I fell fom the helicopter. I swear I heard a faint cackle from the helicopter and it flew away.

Personality: Duncan is very trustworthy, he is always there to talk and if you tell him a secret and he will take it to the grave. He is also extrememly protective. If he cares about you, nothing will ever hurt you, he will always be there to defend you. Sounds like a great guy hey? One thing you must know though is that he is very stubborn. That makes it simple for to hold grudges, and his first impressions usually stick.

Likes: Sports, girls, family, running, large amouts of people, noise, sunshine, hot weather.

Dislikes: Cold weather, bad smelling people, emotional gunk, girls who wear too much makeup, silence, being alone.

Strengths: He is incredibly fit, he is an alright hunter, he can get people to do almost anything when he turns the charm on.

Weaknesses: He has this insane fear of being alone with no one to care about him. He doesn't open up to people easy. His stubborness can get in the way of letting him develope close relationships of any kind. He can get a tad overprotective.

Up for Love: Sure.

Danny *just so you know he's alive*

I was incredibly bored. Sitting there looking at the chickens. I messed up big time. Annie was mad at me, and I made myself look like a complete idiot. Great day for me.

Kyle

Annie was waking up. I was still half asleep. I didn't want to get up yet. All my muscles were aching.

Domi

I rolled over, snuggling into Tarrion. Who was sitting beside me, playing in my hair.
"Your up to soon, Domi, you need sleep." I sat up and leaned my head against him.
"I'll get all the sleep I need when I'm dead." I muttered, smiling at the girl, whom I haven't met. "I'm Dominique." I said, raising a hand for her to shake.
"I'm Nas" she replied shaking it. I smiled up to Tarrion. He pecked my forehead and I giggled wrapping my arms around him.
"I think it's you who needs sleep."

TARRION

I sighed, offering a slight lopsided smile. "Tell you what," I murmered.

"What?" Domi asked, equally as quiet.

"I'll sleep if you sleep. Otherwise there's no way I'll be able to close my eyes." I probably wouldn't be able to close my eyes anyways. Whether Domi was sleeping or not. Call it corny, but I found watching her sleep calmed my nerves, made me feel peaceful.

RYDER

"What about this one?" Gemma asked, picking up a sturdy-looking branch from the ground.

I grinned, and I couldn't say why exactly. I just felt thrilled with life at the moment. "Hmmm...let me see. If the middle's rotten it's no good."

She walked up and handed me the branch, which I pretended to examine thoroughly, trying to seem convincing. In all honesty, I didn't care about the branch a bit. I was too busy thinking of how I could prove myself to Gemma. You just want to impress her you oaf. My backstage mind whispered. I told it firmly to shut up.

"This one will work," I said at last, trying to wipe the grin off my face. "Of course, we'll need quite a bit more than that."

"No kidding." She shook her head and turned to continue branch-hunting.

"This one?" she asked suddenly, just as I was adding another to the stash in my arms.

I turned and lumbered over, catching my foot on something on the ground. The branches in my arms threw me off-balance and I stumbled forwards, catching my foot on a root sticking up from the ground. Clutz!! I fell forwards, knocking into Gemma. She squealed and we both fell to the ground. I narrowly avoided crushing her.
