I ran out into the hustle and bustle of Goldenrod city. Typlosion followed me obediently. I stopped by the pokemart and stocked up on various items that would help me get to the Pokemon League. Once I was done, I left Goldenrod city and once I was in the quiet of the route beyond I smiled and let all of my pokemon walk beside me. I liked to have my pokemon walking with me, I felt safe with them there.

I was heading back on the route up towards Eucreak city, I had some business with gym leader Morty up there.

"Hey!" A girl ran up to me she was closely followed by an Infernape. "Fancy a battle?" She asked exhilarated. I smiled and nodded. She pulled out another two pokeballs.

"Three on three?" She asked.

"Sure." I said. I turned away from her to talk to my pokemon, I couldn't lose this battle. I didn't want to look pathetic.

"Ok, she is bound to use her Infernape as it is clearly her favourite pokemon so Poliwrath you will be one of my pokemon. Pidgeot and Typlosion will also battle. Are you three ready?"

"Typlosion!"

"Pid...Pidgeot!"

"Poliwrath!"

My pokemon cried and I punched the air.

"Alright lets do this!" The girl said gripping a pokeball. I smiled and waited for her to move first.

"Golbat, your up first!" She said throwing the pokeball. From inside a Golbat soared up into the air. I stared at the Golbat and then at her. She smiled at my expression.
The Golbat was a shiny pokemon. I had heard about them before but I had never seen one. I pulled out my pokedex and registered the form of Golbat. As I understood it there wasn't anything better about shiny pokemon, except that they were very rare to get. I shook my head to clear my thoughts and returned my attention to the battle.

"Ok, in that case, I'll use Typlosion! Go!" I said throwing Typlosions pokeball. Typlosion roared when he came out, he looked really tough. There wasn't a hint of surprise on her face and I knew that she had expected me to use my fire type, I wondered if she had a strategy up her sleeve.

"Ok Golbat, use crunch!"

That move was fairly normal for Golbats but for some reason she looked confident.

"Typlosion dodge!"

Typlosion ducked to try and avoid the attack but Golbat clearly expected it and altered it course at lightening speed. The attack hit Typlosion who staggered backwards a little.
When Typlosion had recovered I decided on my attack.

"Typlosion use flamethrower!"

Golbat dodged the attack smoothly, but I was prepared.

"Typlosion spin around whilst still using flamethrower!" I called.

The flames careened madly around our makeshift stadium and Golbat could not dodge it despite its attempts. It hit and was super effective sending Golbat crashing to the floor. Golbat was unable to battle and for now I was in the lead.
Thinking about what you COULD achieve will get you no where. You've got to chase your dreams.

Note: This is the Pokemon Centre thingy where you go through to the Elite four. Excuse my lost knowledge...lol

Amelia:

I sat outside the Pokemon Centre, throwing a pokeball up and down. Nurse Joy had told me it'd take a while to heal the others but that I should have Vulpix back soon.

I sighed and looked around, frowning. Why was Ever Grande so quiet? Then I saw the TR grunts all over the place. I hadn't noticed before... Gah, why am I so stupid?

I got up and went back inside, taking Vulpix off Nurse Joy. All my other Pokemon were healed too so I returned them to their poke-balls and decided to get the hell out of there.

I raced outside and headed back down the path. The Team Rocket grunts didn't look my way as I fled back down the path. When I was out of sight and about to enter Victory Road, I let Tropius out and hoped on, telling him to take me to Sootopolis City. Something was telling me that I was needed there.

As I flew, I took out my Pokedex and called Morty back. The screen popped up with his angry face. Uh oh.

"What happened?" I asked. He looked away and then turned back.

"Team Rocket," he stated sourly. "They got Ho-oh." I swore and looked down at Vulpix. She looked back up at me, blinking.

"Vul-pix?" she questioned, tilting her head to one side.

"They got Rayquaza too."

Morty swore, startling Vulpix. She dug her claws in. I sighed and turned back to my conversation with Morty.

"I'm heading to Sootopolis, can you handle Tin Tower?"

He nodded and the screen went black. I put my Pokedex away and looked up in time to see the dormant, water-logged extinct volcano looming ahead. Sootopolis City.

Name: Hayley
Gender: Female
Hometown: Heathrome
Description: Chestnut brown hair, usually wears jeans, T-shirts and worn out converse style trainers. Eyes are a bright, emerald green.
History: Hayley has lived most of her life with her aunt, moving from Goldenrod to live with her in Heathrome. Her parents were Pokemon scientists, and had lots of valuable information about the secrets of Pokemon that Team Rocket soon caught wind of. Her parents were kidnapped when she was ten, and she has not seen them since. Now she is desperate to learn of the fate of her parents and is determined to make TR pay for hurting them.
Personality: Determined, feisty, easily takes offense even when none is intended. She's generally quite bubbly and friendly, but if you get in the way of her 'mission' she can become cold and angry. Deep down she has a kind heart, but worry over her parents can make this hard to see.

Pokemon

#185 Sudowoodo
Hayley's closest companion and lifelong friend. She and Sudo share a surprisingly tight bond. He walks with her everywhere, accompanying her on her travels to find her parents. Sudowoodo is fiercely protective of her, and sometimes threatens perfectly friendly strangers away with a low kick to the knees if he suspects them of anything.

Moves: Earthquake, Wood Hammer, Brick Break, Block, Mimic.

#465 Tangrowth
Another of Hayley's trusty buddies. She's had Tangrowth since he was a Tangela, after encountered him abandoned and fainted on the side of the road. At first he didn't trust her and refused to form any sort of bond with her, but with time he learned to trust humans again.

moves: Power whip, Slam, Tickle, Giga drain, Solarbeam.

#214 Heracross
The most recent addition to Hayley's team. Hera is incredibly trusting and took to Hayley straight away. He has a dislike to Sudowoodo and tries to steal Hayley's attention. A strangely curious creature, Heracross tends to wander off by himself and investigate.

Moves: X Scissor, Mach punch, Take Down, Close Combat, Swords Dance.

Can someone bring me in to the story? Hayley will probably be chasing TR down somewhere. :D

Mad, Could your character be in Hoenn somewhere? That way I can bump into her as my character is still in Hoenn, heading for Sootopolis City. Or rather, just arriving there.

By noon the next day we had arrive in Olivine City. The Nurse Joy at the Pokemon Center was able to patch Dragonite up, and retrieve my Gyarados from Blackthorn City through the teleporter.

"So are we going to fly to the Whirl Islands or what?" Gold asked as we walked down the beach.

"No, the winds are too strong there for any of my pokemon to safely fly over," I replied. I pulled out my pokeball with Gyarados and threw it out into the ocean, and Gyarados emerged from his ball. "This is how we're going to get there. He can get us through the whirlpools surrounding the islands."

I jumped into the ocean and climbed on Gyarados's back. "You miss me?" I asked him and he roared in reply. I turned back to Gold and shouted, "You coming or what?"

Gold

"Heck yeah!" I shouted. I felt Vee dig his claws into my head. "You okay little guy?"

"Ee-Ee-vee," he said in a scared tone. "Want to go in your Pokeball?" I asked, he nodded, and so I did.

I jumped off the dock, and landed a bit behind Ashton. Krow flew down and landed on my shoulder. Ashton kicks gently on his Gyarados, and we take off into the ocean. The waves churned around us, we passed a few other trainers, some swimming, others riding."How long is this going to take?" I asked. "Not that I have to be anywhere."

"We should be there in an hour. Maybe forty if we push it," Ashton said. "And we're pushing it."

"Hon-Honkrow!" Krow nipped at my ear, and pulled my head up. A team rocket blimp was hovering above us. "Um Ashton....you might want to push harder."

He looked up, and nodded grimly. "Gyarados, fast as you can!" The blue beast speed up, his tail lifting and almost knocking me into the water.

"Krow, think you could fly me up there?" I asked. He flew up, and tested the winds around us. He let out a cry, and dove back to us. He shook his head. Looked like we were going to be cutting this close.

Callie

"Alright," Callie said calmly, "Let's do this!"

Since her Vaporeon was already out of the pokeball, she brought her forward. This should be easy, Callie thought. Evolved vs. Un-evolved.

"Round 1," Ella shouted, "Vaporeon vs. Eevee!"

Eevee was already jolting forward. "Use your bite attack, Eevee!" Marie called.

Callie didn't even have to say anything. Her Vaporeon calmly dodged out of the way. Callie looked and saw Marie shaking with anger. She bit her lip so she wouldn't laugh. This is too easy.

"Vaporeon, Water Pulse!"

Vaporeon instinctively shot up, taking Eevee out with one shot. Marie sighed angrily as she brought her Eevee back into the pokeball.

"Jolteon, go!"

Darn it! thought Callie, How did I know she would do-

"Thunder!" Marie barked. This time, Vaporeon couldn't move out of the way. The attack hi her squarely in the chest. She wasn't knocked out, but she was very weak.

"V-vaapppooreeon," she cooed.

"Finish her off!"

"Jolt-teon!" A quick attack and it was over. This time it was Callie who was blushing; she put Vaporeon in her pokeball and tried to decide who to take out next.

She had Raichu, Charizard and Nidoqueen. Nidoqueen was Poison/Ground-very powerful against electric.

"Nidoqueen, go!"

The massive creature submerged from the pokeball, and Jolteon shrank back in nervousness.

"Don't worry, Jolteon! You can get her!"

Jolteon nodded his head, although he was still clearly miserable. "J-jolteon."

Nidoqueen banged her chest, clearly ready to fight after a long time in her pokeball. "Nidoqueen!" She yelled gracefully.

"Nidoqueen, poison sting!"

The pokemon ran forward and ejected little poison horns into Jolteon's skin, who began to feel the effects instantaneously.

"Jo-" Jolteon caught himself and decided to remain strong. "Jolteon!"

"That's the spirit, boy," replied Marie, "Now, Double Kick!"

Nidoqueen seemed barely effect by the attack, but Jolteon shrank back from the poison.

"Bite," said Callie, clearly bored. With that Jolteon was finished off, and Marie called out her Vaporeon. Callie was beginning to grow scared. She doubted Nidoqueen would win, so all she had left were fire and electric types, both of which were weak against water.

[[PB: Sorry 'bout the confusion. Wrote my post at around 3:10am, and coherence was somewhat lacking at that point =/]]

Yann
All three of his Pokemon were growing weary, Yann noted as he surveyed the road-turned-battlefield. Houndour next to him was panting hard and held his head lower than usual, and a distance away he could see Arcanine dancing between hits, his fur matted and scored in a few places. Mightyena seemed better off, but she was favoring her left paw and was getting more and more harassed by Poochyenas.

The other guy's Pokemons were holding their own, but they had their own problems too. The Piloswine was down for the count.

"Come back" he called to his Pokemon, and they began to trudge through the piles of grunts to his side. Yann cursed under his breath. His dogs were good, but they'd never had to hold back such an assault before.

And he couldn't get Raikou out, no matter how he tried to go at the net. A puff of warm breath informed him of his Pokemons' return, and he spared a second to run his hand over their fur.

The Rockets seemed to have decided not to waste much more time: now it was a pair of Rafflesias waddling towards them, flanked by Drowzees for good measure, and before any of his Pokemons or himself could move they were under a cloud of stun spores and Disables. Then there was nothing they could do but swear internally and growl, as the grunts pranced on safely to the net that held Raikou and prepped it for what seemed like air transport.

In a hurry here, so I can't post now, but I got an thought today I wanted to throw out there...if anybody actually has a working online connection for their pokemon games, can we do some friend code exchanges? We can actually do some fighting with eachother...I think it'd be kinda cool to fight some of you guys, if you can or want to. Just throwing it out there. Have a lucky day! I'll do an actual post when I can.

Callie's pokemon were really strong, but luckily Marie still had two pokemon up her sleeves. And Flareon and Vaporeon were two of her best.

With Vaporeon called out, Callie started to look nervous. Marie smiled, and Vaporeon shifted excitedly from paw to paw.

"Hydro pump, Vaporeon!" Marie directed. Vaporeon attacked, blasting Nidoqueen right on. Nidoqueen stumbled backwards, leaving time for Vaporeon to hit it again and again. The pokemon eventually went down, but Vaporeon had gotten lucky. The Nidoqueen was raised well like the Raichu.

Callie sent Nidoqueen back, and set forward her Raichu. "Thunder," she said, smiling. The attack hit Vaporeon before he could react, and it was a direct hit. Vaporeon stumbled backwards, but still held on.

"Come on, Vaporeon," Marie whispered, clenching her fists.

"Slam!" Callie instructed Raichu.

While Vaporeon attempted to recover, Raichu slammed it's body into him. Vaporeon went down, and didn't get back up.

Marie let out a big breath. She knelt down next to her last remaining pokemon, Flareon. "Come on Flare, you can do this girl," she said, stroking her head.

"Flareon!"

Marie's last pokemon ran out onto the field, full of energy. "Fire spin!" Marie shouted. Flareon obeyed, but Raichu dodged it. Flareon would have to get a lot faster to beat Raichu.

At that moment, something dawned on Marie. "Flareon, quick attack!" she called. Flareon sprinted straight towards Raichu. "Dodge to the side," she said just before Flareon reached Raichu. Flareon went straight around a confused Raichu. "Turn and give 'em a fire blast!"

The close proximity, and the directness of the hit worked together to knock Raichu out completely. Marie thurst a triumphant fist into the air, and Flare cheered with an exhuberant "Flareon!"

"I wouldn't cheer yet," Callie said. "I still have one more pokemon." Even as she said it, she seemed a little nervous. She held the pokeball in her hand for a few seconds too long before sending out a massive Charizard.

Marie felt her face go white. The Charizard was four times as big as Flareon.

"Ember, Charizard," Callie said. Charizard didn't budge. Callie bit her lip. "Flamethrower, Charizard," she tried. Charizard crossed it's arms and turned its nose to the sky. "Fly?" Callie asked.

Charizard still wouldn't budge. Marie had heard stories about the stubborn nature of Charizards, but had never been witness to it before. She had heard though, that they moved out of that 'stage' eventually. Marie didn't think it fair to take advantage of it.

"Flareon, return," Marie sent her own pokemon back into its pokeball. "What do you say we call it a draw. We'll battle again when Charizard cools off a bit."

*jeez, that was a bit long. sorry 'bout that*

Callie

She had never felt more embarrassed before in her life. How could Charizard have backed out on her like that, right when she most needed him?

She sat down next to her stuff.

"He's like that," she said miserably, "But when he wants to battle, he's very powerful," she added with a wink.

"Charizard?"

"Oh, gee, I forgot to return him," Callie said dryly, "Charizard, return. Go back to your stinking pokeball."

She watched enviously as Flareon cuddled up with Marie. She stared down at her pokeballs and wished she could play with Raichu right now.

"Is there a pokemon center nearby?" She asked. "I haven't seen a city in days."

Gyarados plowed through the water as Dragonite flew low to the water. About an hour into the trip the island came into sight. There was going to be tons of obstacles to pass: strong winds, high waves, mist, and sharp rocks. I grabbed onto one of Gyarados's head fins and indicated to Dragonite it was time to swim.

"Hold on!" I called back to Gold over the wind.

I could barely make out him saying, "You don't need to tell me twice!"

I spotted the whirlpool first. It was vast, nearly a hundred feet in diameter, with Whirl Island's shore on the other side. Gyarados swam around it fearlessly. I could feel the wind being sucked to the whirlpool's center, and felt Gyarados slowly drift closer. Dragonite was already on the other side having swam down and around. When were getting close to the other rim of it, and once we were there, there would be no coming back.

Not suddenly, but quickly enough I felt Gyarados regain his speed, and we were on the other side. He swam to the shore and I jumped off his back. Gold followed me down with his Hochkrow and looked around in amazement.

"I can believe Lugia lives here," he said. "It's hard to get here, even with pokemon."

"It is, but Gyarados and I come here all the time."

"Have you ever seen Lugia before?"

"Glimpses. Found a feather once, that's it." I pulled out Gyarados's pokeball and said, "You deserve a good rest. Return, Gyarados." I put his pokeball in my front jacket poket and turned to the entrance of the cave. "Well, all I can tell you that Lugia is in the deepest part of the cave. Let's go Dragonite." With Dragonite behind me I enter the cave and was immediately swallowed by darkness.
